the "ask crazychemgirl a question" thread

We get out of work at the same time every weekday. On the subway ride home I've noticed you over the months. I noticed your wardrobe patterns and the exception to these patterns. You're wearing good mood clothes now and I know you have saturday off. Will you go out with me?

Creeeeeeeepy

You are a very wise and ever so enchanting young woman, chemy  ;)

Why thank you good sir.. *curtsies*

what is the weight of the world and has it changed over time?

The actual mass of the Earth?

6E24 kilograms ... But apparently it loses 50,000 tons every year... Hmmmm

One would think that us slobs dump more than that into landfills every year to make up for it, no?

Lmao... But it all still originated from materials found on the Earth.

I have heard the argument of The weight of the world has been constant as the material originates from stuff already here on Earth. But what about the added materials? Such as meteorites or the increase in population? I mean sperm and egg equals a living mass, correct? That mass ends up weighing more than what was combined!

Have you ever actually curtsied before?

Yes.... I was taught to be a lady when I was younger... Even walked with books on my head, lol

Where the hell does the 50,000 tons go? I thought we shed that much in skin cells each year?

Lol... Ewwwwww

Burnt fuel?

Satellites leaving Earths atmosphere... Stuff decomposing and losing mass.

I think, like I said above... Stuff decomposing loses mass.. So when people die, which is almost equal to the people being born.. And if someone gets cremated.. A significant amount of their mass is just gone.

Satellites eventually fall back to earth, apparently the main loss is of light gasses ie Hydrogen and Helium that the gravity is too week to hold onto.

Quantum cats and multiple universes.

It struck me as I was watching a science program that was postulating that there are multiple universes such that Hitler won the second world war or that the Russians put the first man on the Moon. It set me wondering if Jesus could be the one exception.

Not my prof

You're lucky... I can plug and chug equations til the cows come home... But sometimes the conceptual stuff can be super hard.

Why would he be?

Just a Thought

Why would he be?

If, as the Pope has just declared, God fits the Big Bank Theory, then despite the quantum splintering, He would, in each of these distinct universes, 'create' a unique 'Son'.

I'm just curious how a 'Believer' would reconcile this?

I'll plug...you chug!!! lol

Hahahaha

I'm not a believer.. So this is one instance where I legitimately don't have the answer.. I'm sorry

What's to reconcile? As a believer, I have no problem with it. Distinct universes, by virtue of being distinct, have no connection, communication, or influence on one another, and God created all of them. (Note: In the Christian understanding, God did NOT create his Son -- the three persons of the Trinity are co-eternal.) God the Son became human in order to redeem us, which He could and would do in every universe where there was a need for it.

Does that make sense?

Yep!!!

Dumb ole me

I can't find the "Ladies . . . get your tits out here" thread. Is it in "general board"?
