The bond of a Winchester ((closed))

"So there is absolutely no idea as to what or who is taking out hunters and creatures? It sounds like a heavy hitter, a big kahuna."

Dean stopped outside the cabin, a brief flash of memory jolted through his mind and he waited a moment before getting out, looking at the Hellhounds moving around the structure.

"Well, no time like the present," he drew his pistol, checked that it was ready and walked to the front door.

The hounds were intently sniffing around searching only to look back at Dean and the others with a snort. Cas walked around having caught up to them feeling compelled to be nearby but unsure as to why. Bobby just walked up to the door and knocked.

Lyria... It's Bobby... Are you in there?

He tried the door and found it unlocked. Not waiting for the others his fatherly worry taking over he walked in with Jodi quickly behind him. Once inside it looked like a war had hit the cabin. Walking in behind everyone Cas felt something... Almost like an electrical charge on some level as a shadow seemed to seal itself in the doorway. A familiar snarl and then the sounds of the hellhounds trying to attack something to keep it out of the cabin

Dean followed Bobby and Jodi inside, looking around, he could recall some of the interior, but with the destruction, he couldn't be sure. He was busy poking through the remains of what once was a desk when the commotion started outside, he drew his pistol and as an afterthought, he drew the demon blade as well.

Lyria more demon than human stood there. One of the hell hounds nursing damage having been backhanded across the lawn. Cas ready to fight as well near Jodi who stood stunned and scared and Bobby trying to pull Jodi back away from the roaring enraged form of Lyria. A voice breaking through as a rather short elderly nun seemed to appear between Lyria and the others focused on Lyria.

I will hold her off you all need to get out of here that includes you too Cas.

Amira the missing angel spoke her eyes never leaving Lyria who clearly locked on her as well now unsure she liked the angel arriving.

Dean was stunned, it was Lydia . . . but not . . .Lydia. She was nothing like what he could remember, but looking at her now he could not remember anything like there was something interfering with his mind.

There was a surge of power and clearly, the best thing was to get out of Dodge, he slid his weapons away, he grabbed hold of Jodi, and motioned Bobby to the back door, "Run!"

And they did that, Dean dragging Jodi until she regained her senses and started running with them.

Cas tried to argue and move to help Amira till Bobby quickly grabbed him.

If that's your top secret classified assignment angel then take her help say thank you and run angel boy.

It was hard for Bobby to leave her as well but when an angel with that much power said go you go even he knew that no matter how much it broke his heart to realize that Lyria quite possibly was that seek and destroy missile taking everyone out.

Jodi snapped out of it mumbling...

She was going to kill me, wasn't she?

Cas nodded that was the appearance... It doesn't make sense to observe Dean and their bond she was not using her powers. Yet she is more demon now than ever.

Dean did not stop until everybody was inside the car, he started it and they were off with a squeal of tires, beating a rapid retreat back home.

"What the hell was that? How can she be more demon? Who is that other woman?"

Dean was not frantic, but he was not thoroughly confused.

Bobby was only not grabbing Cas by the throat because Jodi shoved him upfront with Dean.

Yeah, Angel Boy what the Hell.

The angel was Amira our "top secret assignment angel that you and I spoke of Bobby. She was a nun at the parish where Lyra was raised and weaponized as a young child. At least her host was that's why she appears to be able to hold her off. As for Lyria... There is a strong... Magic... Holding her mind and rage. It's like nothing I have ever encountered before but I have heard of this control before it was used by a madman seeking to weaponize and control werewolves or other beings like that.

Jodi was still shaken but noted that the hell hounds had also escaped any further damage running along side the car.

"So let me get this right, you have some sort of angel who is stronger than you, trying to hold Lyria back from what? Killing us? Why would she suddenly return to her old house and try to kill us?"

Dean slapped the steering wheel, "Damnit! What kind of new hell is this? You do know that this could also mean that Lyria could be behind all the deaths and disappearances?"

Cas sighed.

Clearly Amira has some ability to prevent her from what appeared to be targeting Jodi yes. After seeingnLyria like that the thought has crossed my mind that she is that seek and destroy you all have called it. Someone or something however is clearly controlling her. This is not free will action.

Bobby growled.

No shit it's not free will she would never kill anyone. Now that you know that can this Amira fix her or are they just trapped like that forever? We have to help her turn this car around Dean right now we have to help.

Jodi looked over.

Bobby you know we can't help her right now but we will find a way we are not losing Lyria okay.

"I am with Jodi on this one Bobby, you are not thinking right now. The only thing we have in this car right now that can even try to make a dent in whatever Lyria is right now is Cass. We need a plan, we need to regroup and a place with demon and angel warding is the only way to do that."

Dean glanced from the road to the others, "You have proofed the house yes?"

Yes Cas can still get in and her hounds but that's it. How are you handling seeing her like that Dean. I know you and Lyria are close were close whatever due to whatever is going on with her.

Jodi studied him as they headed to the house.

Cas looked over for a moment.

Dean... Lyria was never really one for jewelry right? Did you get her a necklace or something? I think I saw her wearing one today.

Jodi shrugged hearing that.

I have never known her to wear any then again Dean was closer to her than any of us.

"How am I handling it?"

Dean looked at everybody, "Why are you acting like the two of us were married? For some strange reason, I can hardly remember her and you make it sound like seeing her would send off the deep end . . ."

He paused and took a deep breath, "Sorry, I am just frustrated. I am not used to being so vague about someone I should know."

He ran a hand over his neck, "From what little I can remember, she did not wear any jewelry."

A pause as he remembered something other than what he could reveal to the people around him, a faint blush started in his neck and he turned away with a cough, going to the fridge to take out a beer.

Jodi sighed and got back to work tending to reports and checking on everyone. She was worried about Dean and Bobby as she motioned Cas over quietly talking to him.

Is there anything you can't help him? Maybe Felana could help?

Felana is in hiding since the attacks started I cannot reach her. I will try to talk to him about her like we did with Bobby and hope he has remembered enough on his own for that to jump-start anything else.

Dean was busy with his third beer when Cass sat down opposite him

"Dean, we need to talk."

Dean sighed and looked at Cass

"I am too sober to talk to you right now."

Cass looked slightly confused

"What do you mean?"

Dean shakes his head

"What is it Cass? Or should I guess that you want to talk to me about Lyria."

Cass nodded

"Yes, maybe you can remember something."

Dean chuckled, "Shake the tree and hope something falls out?"

Cass looks confused again, "I . . . don't see a tree Dean."

Dean shook his head and emptied the bottle, "Way too sober. OK, go for it, what did you want to talk about?"

It is clear you are remembering things. Scattered perhaps but still memories. You also do not seem comfortable telling them to Bobby or anyone. This I believe means they are more private memories. Do not tell me but focus on one of them. Use it to remember her face, her voice, even her less demonic eyes. Then use that to remember slowly something you can tell us about.

Cas sat with him dismissing his own normal struggle to remember anything about her to help Dean remember

"More personal is one way of putting it."

Dean sighed, took a swig from the beer bottle and sat down, trying to not force any thoughts about Lyra, but the only things he could seem to focus on was meant for private eyes and thoughts only. He gave a snort of frustration and looked at Castiel.

"We had sex and that is the only thing I can remember about her."

"You what?"

Dean looked over his shoulder at Bobby who had just entered the room, "Godamit."

Jodi smacked Bobby on the back of the head.

You knew they did Bobby you just didn't want to hear confirmation. Remember what her powers are based from.

Cass pointed for them both to leave.

Remember her eyes. Focus solely on that for now. Slowly let that become an anchor to remember other things from there.

"Her eyes?"

He frowned and closed his eyes

"Alright fine. This yoga shit is more Sam's schtickt than mine anyway."

For a moment he could not even remember the color of her eyes, much less any other details, but slowly the image of her eyes started to form and become clearer, until he could clearly see her eyes as he could remember them from the last time they met.

"Alright . . ."

Now from there try to remember the last time you two or the three of you had a beer together or burgers. Something simple and easily talked about with others.

Cas continued calmly. Donna stood back watching them she had not had as much encounters with Lyria as the others had. In fact she only remembered meeting her once when She arrived with Dean and Sam to deal with a skin walker at least a year ago.

His brow furrowed and her forced himself to relax, to not force the memory and rather just let it happen and flow on it's own. He nodded as he remembered some time where the three of them sat around a table, talking, even laughing while they planned . . . plotted?

"Yes, I can remember more, vague, but there."

Good... Slowly grow from that. Eventually, you should remember more. Don't force it but it's a start. Go eat and you and I will go do a little hunting as well.

Cas had something in mind but none of the others would like it if it failed.

Dean grunted and got up, rubbing the sides of his head. It felt like he was recovering from a bender and the whiskey was still in his system. He wasn't sure what the angel had in mind, but the something to eat sounded like a good plan right then.

He moved to the fridge first and got out another cold beer and opened it, before starting to look for food.

Cas stood and after being content that Dean was okay he vanished once more only to appear in the chamber of his "brother" the artifacts keeper.

Well well Well Castiel... What brings you to my doorstep?

Balthazar smirked staring at him.

Missing any of your stolen relics Balthazar?

Cas cut right to the point.

No should I... Be... You think the little killing machine going around taking out so many of ours and the fancy apes enemies is... Really Castiel WE never had anything that could do that remember he was far too big on them having free will.but then again... They adore controlling each other and some could create ways of doing so on a more magical yet fatal level.

Cass tensed at the word fatal as Balthazar continued.

So don't worry even is Dean and Sam can't stop it the power being used on it if such a human made item is it's master will most likely kill it for them. Now... Pay the fee for my assistance.

Cass flipped a strange coin to him and vanished back to Dean and the others. It was clear Balthazar knew something but would never directly tell what he knew unless it tried to kill him then he would be more than willing or when they had a way of him getting the artifact for himself as payment for his aid.
