The Bounty Hunters'

Richard Dalton AKA Leo

The doc had told him in time he would heal, He accepted that and started making plans.
Perhaps the best job for an ex-criminal would be to handle security in banks? After all hadn't he pulled off the most hold ups ever in history?
He sure did, he grinned to himself. With Johnny in the area and the other two siblings gone, there wasn't much else for him to do. Wandering alone would never keep his spirits up, no he needed his family around him.
Thus settled in his mind, he would get to talking to Joe about him working in Tumbleweed as Leo Ames, and a new secruity specialist. His degree's and brains he could pull it off.
Smiling, his future plotted out, Leo Ames fell asleep..

** A few years later**

Richard stood in the church, Sofie walking down the isle, a bright smile on her face as she was soo going to be Mrs. Leo Ames.
Richard finally felt his world was complete, though at times, his trigger finger itched badly to shoot something. Good thing he controlled those urges.....

** And there is still more to the ending of this story...**

The ending already?! Well, heres Chester in third person.

Chester made a great sheriff, and law man. He also became an even greater brawler. During the day, he was a respectable sheriff who did his job, and at night, a champion in the illegal ring. As a sheriff he won many awards of honour, and achievement. The townsfolk loved him, and Chester finally got married, but I will not say to whom. He also had a great, great, great, GREAT, GREAT grand-son named Forte who also became a legacy, but thats a different story. He stayed friends with Keith, Red, and Joe for as long as anyone could remember. When he finally died from old age, he died a local hero, just like Red, Keith, and Joe. He also died an idol and legend to brawlers everywhere. That was the story of good old Ghost hands.

Keith

"Hmmmm!" Keith says, smiling. "It depends on how many handy men you want! And what type of job you want me to do."

Without waiting for her to reply, Keith gets up, kicking the chair away and scoops a very surprised Joe into his arms. Then he carries her to the stairs, pausing only when he notices that everyone in the Inn is staring at them.

"If you excuse us, folks. Me an' Joe have some bizzness to discuss."

A huge cheer sounds out as Keith carries on up the stairs.

"You'll find, "he says as his kicks open the door to her room, intent in showing his future 'employer' how handy he can be...

Joe

Laughing as he set me down on my feet I turned to hold him off.
"Oh no! No you dont mister!" My hands pressing against his chest keeping him from me.
"I offered you a job and you go and make a specticle for everyone in town. now you know what they are thinking is going on up here! besides, I am going to be a decent woman and settle down..... So if you aren't offering me something permenant.. Just back on out of this room.." I stood firm, hands on his chest.

Keith

"Permanent?" Keith asks as if deep in thought which slowly turns into a big grin. "Just wait here!"

Joe watches him stride out of the room and onto the landing above the bar.

"Excuse me, folks!" Keith shouts down. "I need some help! I've appeared to have embarrassed Mizz Josephine Meadows here by taking her up the stairs like I did. She wants people to see her as a decent woman an' all. What do you think I should do to make people see that?"

"Marry her!!!"

He turns to Joe who is standing in the hall, looking at him.

"Well, Mizz Meadows? You heard them. Will you marry me?"...

Chester

"Marry her you soft bastard!", I yelled. I laughed afterwards, and the crowd chuckled a bit. Anything to help out a friend. Putting on my hat, and finishing off my drink, I headed towards the door. It was fight night tonight, and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I turned my head to see what Joe's verdict was.

Joe

"Marry you?" That just floored me, now not only was I bright red with embarassment now he was shouting everything to the world. Shaking my head, I grabbed him by his shirt and jerked him back into my bedroom.
"Stay right there, trouble maker.." Leaning over the railing to the crowd gathered below us I gave them a once over look and kept my face stern.
"Thanks for interfering! Nosey busy bodies!" I chuckled and winked at them before moving back into my room.
"Marry you huh? Well alright... as long as you are aware Keith, I shoot straight and dont miss.." I walked up to him, my hands lifting off his cowboy hat and tossing it into the corner. my hands wove around his shoulders as I pressed myself against his chest. My mouth hovering just a breath away from his, I looked into his eyes and whispered, "Yes keith, I would love to marry you. Now shall I prove just how much I love you?" I smiled a flirty little grin and kissed him softly..

And so this concludes Bounty Hunters. Keith and Josephine succeeded with their ranch. Red and Johnny settled down and had a brood of dark haired moody children running around. Currently Joe is on their fourth child, hoping to get a break and have a girl instead of all boys.. Chester kept the Sheriff position and made a success of his life as well. Father Thomas and the physical therapist actually got him to walk again and married six months after keith and Joe wed......
