Seems to me that if you liked The Royal Tenebaums or Best in Show, you will enjoy Life Aquatic. I could be wrong though.

I didn't see Best in Show and I only moderately liked Tenenbaums. Bill Murray absolutely made Life Aquatic. He can look so serious while uttering such nonsense that it cracks me up.

I loved Best in Show. It was pure genius.

Life Aquatic has some truly brilliant moments, but ultimately I found the move to be unsatisfying; however, that might have had more to do with my expectations for the movie than with the actual execution of it.

Chocolat is one of my all-time faves. Johnny Depp with an Irish accent, ooo la la!

That movie made Darlene lost.

Lost in Darlene either sounds like porn flick or a really sweet chick-flickish kinda thing.

Did you get a sense of alienation from Lost in Translation? And on this subject, don't you wish you knew what he whispered in her ear at the end? Grr! That sort of thing drives me nuts!

You have good taste... Well, the first half of it, anyway.



I'm still debating going to see this one, mostly because I'm without an SO, which means I'll most likely have to go alone.

*shrug*

Oh, well. We'll see. I was surprised to see those two cast. Not that they're bad actors, but they don't seem to be gothic type actors.
