the care package (closed)

I read Kali's email a few more times. I didn't really need to; it was pretty clear what she thought of me and it felt great. I fought the edge to respond but it was a losing fight.

Kali,
I will sleep easy tonight. Why, you ask? You've put my mind at ease.
I cannot wait to see you, to behold you with my own eyes. To be able to hear your voice say my name.

To kiss your lips.

A man can dream can't he? Well, you'll be mine then.

To kiss your lips.

And whatever else the night will bring...

Eric

I smiled as I read it. Was it wrong that I was thinking about kissing him? Hell, I was thinking about more than that. I shook my head, I was just lonely.

Eric,
Well we will both be having satisfying dreams tonight.

Kali

I read her final email drowsy yet satisfied. Anxiousness gave way to the soft call of slumber and the sandman's beckoning.

I'll be back stateside soon, Kali.

With that thought I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, awaiting the dreams that will surely come...

I tossed and turned, thinking of seeing him... being with him....

The next morning I woke and went for an early run to gather my thoughts. When I returned I typed,

Have a safe flight!! Message me,when all gets settled.

Kali

23 hours, three layovers and ten small bags of gummi bears. Five bottles of Coke Zero and 10 bottles of water. Four movies, obey book, one magazine.

That's how long it took for me and the rest of the unit to get stateside. Ft Hood, Texas.

One Phoenix Suns team calendar. One Phoenix Suns cheerleading top.
One smile and a pair of sparkling green eyes.

That's what got me through the tediousness of the whole ordeal.

Two weeks of mind numbing out processing. Briefings, paperwork, formations, paperwork, last minute briefings, paperwork.

And now, at this moment, is my last night before being released from my active duty obligation. I send Kali a message. My first since coming back. It wasn't on purpose. It was something I felt I needed to do this; a sort of cleansing of the mind and heart.
I started to type...

My Dearest Kali,

Well, the time has arrived. By tomorrow, I will be free of my active duty obligation and will resume civilian life. I apologize if I put you on the spot, but I'd very much like to see you tomorrow.
I realize that I did not give you ample time to plan out contingencies, nor did I take into account how busy you could possibly be right now. But I don't care.

I want to see you so bad I ache from the want.

By 0600hrs tomorrow I will be released. I'll be riding with a few buddies to the airport so I can rent a car and get a hotel room. I hope to hear from you so I can tell you where I'm staying at. Actually, I'd rather pick you up from the airport. I'd like to take the opportunity of using the ride as our get to know each other trip.

Reply as soon as you can. I miss you...

Eric

I couldnt help but to smile. I looked around my spartment, could I really just up and leave for a couple of days? I thought about it and made a few calls... I couldnt believe I was going thru with it... but I was. I messeged him back,

Eric,
Welcome home!! It was really short notice but I have managed to make it happen. My flight lands tomorrow evening at 7:45pm. Let me know if you are able to meet me then or if it would be easier to meet you somewhere.
Ive missed you!

Kali

So that's that, I thought myself after reading Kali's message. It feels so much like the calm before the storm. I feel...quiet. I know I should be jumping off walls or screaming at random people on the street. Anything to exclaim to the world that I'm meeting her. Finally. To behold her with my own eyes.

Instead I feel suppressed.

But I know it's not a bad thing. After all, everyone knows I'm married and if I let loose that I'm meeting someone (God, I want her) who I'm not married to...well. Suffice to say that it is lot ideal.

I typed my response...

Kali,
Thank you! I really feel bad for doing that to you, making you scramble like that. But I want this so bad. I want you so bad. Is it wrong to say that?

Do you want me just as bad?

Let's put that down for now. I'll be at the airport tomorrow before you arrive. I'll be in uniform. Hope you're a sucker for that!

I cannot wait to finally meet you.

Anxiously awaiting,
Eric

I smiled as I read the message while packing my bag.

Eric,
Im glad Im not the only one who wants this. And for the record, Im a sucker for YOU in uniform.
See you at the airport!
Kali

I awoke ten minutes before my alarm went off. 0345. I got dressed into my uniform and went and got some breakfast with a few friends. 0600 can't come soon enough.

"Dismissed."

By 0700, SPC Ryan, myself and two others soldiers shared a cab to the airport. All but myself were catching flights back home. SPC Ryan sat to the left of me, in the middle. She leaned over and said, "Hey, Sarnt? I bet you wife can't wait to get you home," she said, a mock leer on her face, her implication very obvious. I smiled and shook my head. "You're the one who'll be walking bow-legged for a month, Ryan. I feel sorry for your boyfriend."
She laughed, tilting her head up and exposing her slender neck. Seeing that made me think of Kali, wondering how she would taste as I ran my tongue across her skin. "I hope so. God I need cock bad."
"Why didn't you say so, Ryan?" PFC Williams said from the front seat. "I could've taken a later flight for you."
"It would be pointless, Williams, being that you'll only have to delay that flight by THREE minutes!"
We all laughed at that one. Good old SPC Ryan. The rest of the trip continued in companionable silence.

We got to the airport and said our good byes and well wishes, promising each other to keep in touch. SPC Ryan gave me a hug and peck on the cheek. And just like that, they were gone. I stood there for a few more minutes and then looked around for the directions to the rental car kiosk. I found it a few moments later and started walking, weaving my way through the crowd.

I was checked in to the room by 1130. I dumped my overnight bag by the door. I walked over to the curtain and peered out. After a few moments I walked over to the fridge a grabbed a bottled water that I picked from the convenience store down the street. I took a swig and recapped the bottle. I then laid down on the bed, my hands behind my head and closed my eyes.

I slept.

I awoke a few hours later feeling hungry. I had activated my phone when we first got in country. I decided to check for messages from Kali. Seeing that I got none, I proceeded to type one up.

Kali,
I'm checked in. I'm not sure if you're at the airport yet or already on the plane. I fell asleep and just woke up. That's the first time I took a nap in a long time! It was great.
I'll be at the airport by seven and should be by baggage claim before you arrive. I'll be the one in uniform and a bouquet of flowers.
I cannot wait to see you, finally. After all this time...
I can believe how...serendipitous...it was that it was your CARE package I opened that day. And as delicious as those treats were, the best treat was you.
And it's a treat I plan on enjoying some more tonight.

Thinking of you,
Eric

I hit send and got up, grabbed my keys and walked out the door to get something to eat.

I got the message right before they announced to turn off electronic devices. I settled back and tried to sleep... it came in spurts as I could,t stop thinking about what it was going to be like.

When the plane touched down my hands were clammy and my legs were a little shaky. I was so nervous. I stopped by a restroom and looked in the mirror, wearing a little black tank top and fitted jeans. I ran a brush thru my long hair, finally ageeing that I looked ok, I headed out. I hoped I was everything he was expecting! I came down the escelator to the baggage claim area, looking around...

She's taller than I thought.
I saw her looking around as she round the corner, her hair streaming behind her. I walk in pace with, hoping to draw her eye.
She saw me. And smiling, she walk faster towards me. In a moment all the time I've spent thinking of what to say at this moment escapes me and I hope my face reflects what I think if her.
How much I adore her.
How much I need her.

How much I want her.

We opened our arms almost simultaneously as we came together for the long awaited embrace. I feel her arms around me. I make my arms wrap around her. I close my eyes. I absentmindedly handed her the flowers, that now looks slightly crushed from our embrace

I breathe her in.

We held on to each other for what seemed like an eternity. I slowly pulled back away from her. I looked into her face, gazing into her eyes, gleaming like emeralds. In just a few seconds I devour every aspect of her face.

Without preamble, I dove in, catching the last minute surprised look on her face as my lips found hers...

The hug, I had expected. I figured we would hug, it was a normal thing for friends to do after a period of time had passed. It was the kiss afterwards that caught me. I almost missed it. But I found myself kissing him back softly, my arms still around his neck. I smiled, "Wow. Ive been picturing how our first meeting would be..."

Time passed inconsequentially, the crowd milling around us less so. I wanted this. We wanted this. There was a moment of stunned surprise on her part; but only for a moment. She recovered quite nicely and she had returned my kiss with more fervor than I actually expected.

We stood there facing each other, not speaking and knowing that speaking was not necessary. After a moment I composed myself and she averted her eyes enough to suddenly show her uncertainty reveal itself, like veil parted by a breeze. It wasn't that she felt that it was wrong; more like she can't believe she did just what she thought she would do.
I asked her if she can point out where her bag is, seeing that the baggage claim carousel he started to move with luggage upon the belt. She glanced around and after a few moment she pointed. I leaned in and grabbed it. "Is this all?" I asked. She nodded. "Well, okay then. Let's jet." I grabbed her hand, noting the sharp albeit quiet intake of breath as I took control of the situation. I lead her out of the baggage claim area out towards the parking lot and towards the rental car.

Towards our destiny...

I took the minute it took him to grab my bag to gather my thoughts. What was I doing? This was all wrong..wasnt it? I didnt know anything anymore. I knew that kiss felt really good... but I also knew it shouldnt have happened. He walked back to me and I took his hand and followed his lead. I was done thinking.

We got to the car five minutes later. I reluctantly let go of her hand to open the trunk for her luggage. She didn't speak the whole time, just furtively gazed at me and smiled. The look on her eyes is one of nervousness with just a hint of anticipation. I walked over to the passenger side door and opened it for her. She said thanks and got in. I closed the door and walked over to the driver side. I got in, buckled up and started the car.
It was silent in the car's cabin except for the flow of air from the AC. I turned to her and said, "Thank you so much for being here. I realize this is moving fast. Are you okay?"
She said...

I smile and nod my head. "Im good. Im happy to be here. Ive been looking forward to it." I pat his knee to encourage him. "Lets get out of here." I watched out the window as he drove thru the city, glancing over at him occassionally.

We drove the thirty minutes back to the hotel in companionable silence, neither of us saying a word yet one can tell our minds were racing. Mine certainly was. At some point during the trip I found my hand and her twined about the fingers.
We found a parking spot not far from my ground floor room. I got her bag and lead the way, with Kali trailing close behind. "Here's our room," I pointed out belatedly, already keying the door open.
I placed her luggage next to mine. She looked around the room, hands in her pockets. I stood the for a moment or two, watching her. When I finally caught her eyes, she dazzlingly smiled.
In two quick strides I was there and pulling her close to me, kissing her hard on her lips. I felt myself stiffen as her fragrance hit me, her mouth a willing partner. My hands roamed until they found themselves cupping her ass through her fitted jeans. I gave them a squeeze and was promptly rewarded with a low moan.
