The Castle

Heavy Rain and Goblins

The rain was, (what I believe), to be at it's heaviest now. Any more, and one could swim through it, as if it was an ocean in the sky. The lightning was also louder now, deafening, and bright as the sun when it flashed. Heh, perfect... I got myself a few buckets then took the rain water to my personal little filter system. I mean, you know what they say right? When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

meanwhile...

The bushes rustled with their scampering, but the rain deafened their sound. Behind a small shrubbery, a goblin scout was spying on it's prey, "captain! Captain! Humans!". Suddenly, a slighty more buffed goblin stepped towards him, then looked across the bushes in his direction. He was right, a few humans and an elf it would seem. "Hahaha... good. C'mon then...get everyone ready... and... ATTACK!!!!". Suddenly, a dozen goblins came into the clearing, wielding various sharp objects, focused on attacking the band of adventurers. The captain yelled some more, "c'mon ya filthy pigs! Kill all the men! Rape all the women! For FOOD, and BOUNTY!!!".

Vindil catches up

Vindil watced silently as the three touched and shared memories. He looked at the burning cabin behind the three and was fasinated by the fire, that had been his home for almost as long as he could remember, but this was a time of change and this was necessary. Vindil looked at the three again and then looked to the elf maiden, drenched in cold rain and beautiful. It was strange for his brother to accept strangers into their midst, but vindil scenced no danger from this elf. vindil's dark eyes drifted to the roof whose fire was being put out by the heavy rain. He walked past the group and entered the smoke filled cabin. He hurried over to his secret door in the roof and pulled out the three sacks of belongings. When he hurried back out he dropped them.
"Well Afton, I pledge my life and my weapons to your cause and protection. On pain of death, I will not let you come to harm. I pledge myself to you, until victory or death sees us through." Vindil dropped to one knee and dropped his head in a sign of servitude. When he looked up he saw they were all looking at him. Then Vindil rose up and retreaved the package he had carried with him from his short meating with Le at the Flaming Fist Head Quarters. As he opened it he uncovered a shining suit of beautiful chain mail armor.
"Our finest blacksmith made this for you, to protect you through your journey." Vindil then handed her some of the cloths from the bag and led her inside to change and get suited up.
"Oh, and Afton, will you be needing a weapon?" He closed the door behind him and opened another thick rolled up blanket which held various swords in scabbards and ready. "Take you pick, then I will leave you to get changed. We need to move out tonight."

ooc: Cizek! Your being attacked by very loud goblins. It's not a good time to gaze at beautiful elf maidens, and burning houses. :p

Vindil

Vindil waited and looked at Afton as she emerged from the cabin. She now looked the part of the warrior princess she was to become. The five companions looked at each other and vindil picked up some bags.
"Lets be off then."
They all fell into line behind Vindil and walked away from the smoldering cabin into the darkness and the rain. When the goblin attack call came a few seconds later the companions stopped dead, but when the fifteen or so goblins burst through the bushes and charged the group they exploded into action. One was immediatly torn down by an elven arrow. The next stopped dead with a thrown dagger by Vindil in its chest.Vindil drew his sword as the horde poured down around them.
"K, keep her close!" Vindil shouted as he engaged the next two goblins. Vindil parried a thrust from a crude spear from the one on his right and punched te other hard in its face, stunning it, then he whipped his rapier around and cut open its neck. Vindil sidestepped a spear thrust from the first goblin and crushed its face with the hilt of his sword. The goblin fell back and dropped its weapon. Two more appeared in front of him then, one with a short sword the other with a rusty bastard sword. He quickly ducked the swing of the bastard sword, and spun as he parried the short sword and drew his dirk. He caught the next overhead slash from the goblin with the heavier sword with his two blades, crossed and then with incredible speed buried the dirk in teh creatured chest. His hand that was holding the dirk released it and grabbed the creature by the shirt and flung him into his partner, as Vindil slipped his sword through both of them and the very tip emerged from the second goblins back. Vindil looked to his left and saw one of the few remaining goblins leveling a cross bow at the back of Afton.
"No!" Vindil charged the creature weaponless and crashed into it, taking it to the ground just in time. Vindil threw the bow away and was greated by a heavy punch to the jaw from the goblin. He shrugged away the pain and punched back, again and again he smashed the creatured head with his fist. The goblin went limp and Vindil pounded it a few more times for good measure, then he pulled a quarrel from the creatures quiver and almost ushed it into the creatures eye.
"I think hes dead Vindil. Step back." Vindil looked at his brother as he spoke and noticed the calm stare.
"Your right. We need to get out of here before more show up." Vindil rose to his feet, fell heavily to one knee then rose again. Afton and K gave him concerned looks as the other two cheaked the goblins.
"I'm fine. Lets get out of here." Vindil stood again and went to retreave his weapons. He whipped them clean and put them back. Then he looked down at his cloths which were covered in blood, most of it not his.
"There is a stream not far from here where we can get cleaned up. Then we need to make our way to the city."
"Vindil, K, I have some bad news." Jackar said emerging from the forest riding a horse. Twenty more horsemen appeared around him, some guiding extra horses. "Castle troops have surrounded the area. That fire brought a good portion of the legion running. could be a thousand or more. So I thought you could use a ride."
"Thank you Jakar. Which way looks the quietest?"
"To the east looks fairly open, but I did spy some humans in that area. The rest is just goblins and orcs."
"East it is. Afton, K, you other two, ready for a ride?"
"Sparrow, and yes." Sparrow called to her horse and mounted it.
"I am Selia, and I am also ready." She walked to one of the extra horses brought by the Flaming Fist Knights.
"Okay, I want our three best lances in front of me. K and I will flank Afton with Jackar behind. The rest of you will form a wedge around us, I want seven of you with bows, the rest melee. Lets get to it." Vindil was finished with orders and went over to Afton.
"Remember how to ride one of these?" Afton looked doubtful.
"You don't have to worrie about it. Just stay on the horse and stay alive, we can take care of the rest."
"I want to fight. I can help." Afton said.
"Believe me, I know, but right now the most helpful thing you can to is to stay alive. So don't do anything stupid."
Afton nodded and Vindil lead her to one of teh war horses. It was a large animal, and one of the faster in the group. Afton mounted the horse and settled herself in.
"Are you ready?" Afton nodded slightly. Vindil sprinted around and mounted his horse. The knights came into formation and drew their weapons. He notices the elf holding her bow with an arrow ready. Jackar, the half elf sat next to her with an arrow on his bow string also.
"Archers. If we come across a patrol I want you to take down their archers first and don't stop firing untilwe are through their lines. Flaming Fist, lets ride!" the twenty-five strong group kicked their horses into gear and ran into the forest. Vindil looked to Afton, who seemed to have little trouble holding her mount steady. As they broke into the forest the group was forced to split slightly and Vindil got a few steps ahead. He grabbed one of the reins of Aftons horse and guided it right beside his, one step back at full speed through the forest.
"I hope you don't mind, my lady." Vindil called as he lead her horse. Vindil didn't want to take the risk of a rather rusty, to say the least, rider not keeping up. "Afton, if we get into a fight just stay with me and K, and stay on this horse." Vindil shot a smile back her direction. She looked a little scared. "Don't worry, we will be fine. Just then an arrow ripped between Afton and Vindil's head as Jackar cut down a scout, who was hanging in a tree. When Afton's horse jumped over the body Afton lost her balance for a moment, but quickly regained it. "You had best get used to that." Vindil shot her another smile and she looked somewhat comforted.

OOC: I hope you guys don't mind that I threw in a couple of your lines. I'll try to avoid playing your characters if it bothers anyone. Sorry again.

(( O.k. with me))

Selia:

Sometimes the wilderness can be a buisy place, but she had never seen it as crowded like tonight. Old friends reappearing (do I really look that strange to a human mans eye??) goblins rampaging (sure they use to shout gruesome nonsense whenever I met some of them, but what do they mean with rape? Should ask someone later about this) and dying in the upcoming fight, then armoured men appearing on horseback, telling about more enemys to come. Looks as if my time amongst this friends won´t get boring.

As the struggle with the goblins began, Selia had taken down three of them, each one with a well placed arrow before they had even a chance to get in to arms reach. But she hadn´t wasted a thought about close combat. As the critters got close enough she changed her position, swiftly and fleetfooted she ran up a few branches to take her stand a few yards way up in the sturdy branches of a redwood tree. Someone who hadn´t seen her getting up there can only guess how she managed this feat - she can´t fly after all, can she?
So she was able to help in some tight spots, a goblin with raised weapon that would have split one of her buisy new friends heads fell with an arrow through his neck, another one, creeping up from behind (some of them can be really sneaky gits) died a splitsecond before he was able to perform his killing blow against one of the girls. (No, this can´t be the action they called rape, that would have been killing)
As the gobbo-problem was solved - at least for the moment - she climbed down the tree with equal ease, arriving by the side of the others as they mounted their horses.

"Yep, this will be fun!!"

The elven maid jumped with joy, riding on the back of a powerful horse was such an unawaited pleasure for her that she had almost forgotten the enemys she heared closing in on them.
To the great embarrasment of the armoured men who brought those horses she was far from mounting one - not before she had taken out a slender dagger to cut a few straps of leather, removing saddle and harness of her appointed steed, dropping them down like some useless rubbish - only to jump on the bare back of the horse then.

Humans are strange, really. What´s the use of weighting down such a creature who´s only purpose is running free and fast?
Such a pure pleasure, listening to the song of the wind howling in my ears as the thunder of the stallions hooves drums the sound of speed. Feel the essence of life flowing through your body and soul!

OOC:...where is the sex...................

The horse gallopped underneath her, riding it bareback as always, for she did not believe in the saddle as it was used like bondage for a horse such as Selene. Together they rode off, following her sister and the two men with the Fey Selia beside. This Jackar, she did not trust, but did not speak against him as they continued to raid into the horizon, the sun just dawning over their faces. Leaning into the mane of the great beast, she spoke her own tongue into it’s ear encouraging it to pursue faster and harder, she soon became riding alongside K with a growing speed.

“The Twindybook ferry, we must reach it and cut it loose before they can catch us, goblins are afraid of water!” She shouted to her companions, then once again whispered to the horse’s ear, making it sprint faster and harder than the rest. If she could get there first, she would have it ready to go. She never looked back into the faces of the creatures dying to catch up with them. They would follow until the horses were run into the ground and the travellers were taken captive. This could not happen, and with herself, her soul, her steel of a firm a gaze, she would taste freedom for the rest of her days without anyone holding it over her head.

The thought of such a captivity bred within her like a plague until she was galloping down the beaten path with hooves that sounded loud. Suddenly, another set of hooves travelled along with her own. She looked to see not one but two sets of riders, cloaked in blackness. She leaned in and pulled the mane to the left veering off into the forest, she would lose them playing with the tricks of trees and the forest. It was the only way, for staying on the trail would only make it easier for them to snatch her off of the horse.

It went on for a long time, the dodging of their hands upon her arms, the quick turns and escapes as she went farther and farther away from the Ferry with every which way she gallopped away. Her horse was failing in it’s foaming mouth and tiring hoof beats. She could not push it any further as they reached the river, rearing up she was thrown off and stared into the hands of one of the riders. He backhanded her across the face before she could fight back and grabbed her up by the throat, squeezing the life out of her.

“The Castle holds your fate, you who have failed your mission.”

Kicking futilely and screaming loud for anyone to hear, her wrists were tied together and she was kicked in the side before being thrown onto the back of the horse like a bundle of woodle or blankets. Tied down to the saddle, they took off for what she feared, the end of her days or the beginning of her torture.

((OOC: Some strange similaritys to something I´ve already read in this Vierge ??;) Do you want to get rescued now or are you looking for something more spicy?))

Creeps can't sleep

I stirred in my bed, my eyes trying to shut themselves. Finally, I just gave up, and got up. The rain had died down, but I hadn't. 'The Order of the Lord's Arrow', was a force to be reckoned with. They have been known to brutally slay demons, monsters, and anything else that resembled evil at it's worst... including thieves. Suddenly, something in me just... opened up, and a smile crept across my face. I quickly, washed up, put my gear on, then set out. Maybe it was out of fear, or maybe it was out of sense of adventure, but I set out to look for those so called adventurers early. Afterall, I can't protect these people if they're already dead now can I? ;)

ooc: therefore, my character will meet up with your guys soon.

Vindil

The Flaming Fist horses ran hard through the forest, the sound of their hooves like thunder around them. Vindil knew that the horses couldn't keep up this pace for much longer, but they had to get out before a whole damn regiment appeared. A scence of dizzyness over came Vindil for a moment and he nearly ran his, and Afton's horse into a large tree, but at the last moment he veered aside and ran on.
"Archers, prepare!" Vindil shouted. All members with bows complied and drew back arrows as out of no where, enemies were suddenly appearing all around them. It started with a few orcs in the path, then a few more. Soon, around thiry orcs, goblins and a few men appeared in their path.
"Fire on the humans!" Vindil ordered and they were cut down.
"Fire at will!" Jackar called out as the Fist archers began raining death onto the creatures in their path. The first of the lances brake an enemy body and sent it flying as the wedge of Knights broke their line and scattered them. Vindil chopped down two as they came by him and all the horses around him amashed through the ranks. It was an easy victory, but a small one. Not a single member of their group had been injured or killed and they rode on hard as ever. Trumpets began ringing out around them, Castle troops forming ranks around them.
"Knight, turn right!" Vindil called and they obliged, rolling together, through the forest and came upon a clearing and they came within view of the river. Vindil felt dizzy again and shook it off. The blood-stain running down his side was growing from a burried cross bow quarrel that he had taken for Afton in the first fight, an injury so far unnoticed by his companions. 'I can't keep this up for long.' he though as the horses pounded their way to the ferry.
"Some one is in trouble!" Jackar called, his ears perked up.
"Take five and cheak it out, we will prepare the ferry. Go!" Vindil replied.
"Aye sir." six men, headed by the half-elf split off from the group.
"K, take Afton... I can't concentrate," Vindil said as the horses pounded closer. They were a few hundred yards from the ferry now and closing fast.

Selia:

There had been times when she had to fight, even to kill to protect her own health and life or that of another fey. Those had been rare occasions. One attacker, a lonely orc or a maddened predator, one or two arrows had been enough to handle with it and all had been quiet and pleasant again. Then she had felt this amazing tickle that made her muscles tremble when it was done. Hunting fever her mentor had named this. But now, facing enemys all around, not only one but dozens of them, this fever became an ongoing experience. It didn´t make her shiver this time but it makes her faster, keening her senses to an incredible sharpness.
Now she doesn´t have to waste her time calculating the position of her next target when her arrow would reach his distance. Whenever an arrow left the string of her bow another attacker had to die.
But not only her enemys met their final fate. Those knights weren´t invincible and soon enough enemy weapons will find a breach in their heavy armour. Then two things demanded an immediate decision.

First, one of her friends had been running in to an enemys trap and taken prisoner. A terrible fate for sure, but rescue will be possible later.
Second, an other one, the young man who met with her new friends short before the first attack had a more serious problem. He doesn´t complain, doesn´t ask for help, but he´s running out of strength faster than he´s running out of blood. She can hear his pain in this voice as he asks for K´s help to aid Afton. He tries to hide it, but in a few moments he will loose his grip on the reigns of his horse and fall down to meet his death.

Amidst this furious turmoil of gallopping steeds and the whistling death of flying bolts and arrows, Selia managed to get side by side with Vindils horse, just in time to get hold of him and drag him over as his strength failed him. Later on she will never be able to tell how she had been strong enough to do so, just one of the little marvels people can do when in utter danger.
She can feel the wetness of his blood, smell the unmistakable stench and knows that she had to help quick or never.
"This ferry - we have to reach it very soon or I will not be able to stop him from bleeding to death."..

Vindil

Vindil fell into a dream like state and soon felt himself being pulled from his horse and placed on one that felt lighter and faster. He heard voices and the occational metal on metal ring but only saw the ground under the horses feet. Occationally a body would pass under his view with an arrow in it or a bloody slash leaking blood. He heard a clearly feminine voice from close and in a melodic tone but he again couldn't understand. He felt the blood leaking away and knew that death was close. He had been in this situation before, been this close to death but he knew that it would probably happed again, before this was all over.
"Thank you..." Vindil whispered and heard the faint reply as he then heard the unmistakable sounds of a large river. The view under him changed to wooden planking then the horse jumped and he saw a small strip of water before the deck of a sturdy boat came into view. He then felt strong hands pulling him down and looked back to his rescuer who was leaping down from her horse... the elf had saved him, he had to remember to thank her again. Then he saw other faces, two of the knights carried him into a dark room where he was placed on a table and his cloths taken from him. Over teh next few hours he drifted in and out, seeing various faces standing over him. He was releaved the third time to see a smileing face instead of a worrying one. Soon, he woke again and his head wasn't quite as groggy as before.
"Water, please. Anyone?" Vindil opened his eyes and saw the candle lit roof of a small room and felt the sway of a boat.

OOC: you guys can add in what happened on the rest of the ride, if you want to.

Creeps goes out

"Horse... right... I don't think so", I said after staring at a stable for 10 seconds. What can I say? I didn't like horses. So, I went the cheap way. I went to a local magics shop, and purchased a scroll of 1-way teleportation... I say 1-way cause well, I'm just cheap I guess.

After reading from the scroll, a bright portal flashed before my eyes. In the portal, I could see my destination. Some trees, water, a boat, some people in the boat... I hated the outdoors. Without thinking twice, I stepped through the portal.

ooc: this is a *BUMP*, where is everyone?

Vindil

Vindi lawoke to a burning side and a spinning head. As the pain and dizzyness passed he sat up and felt the wound in his side.
"Damn, Elven medicine is good."
His side already was scabbed over and the muscles weren't so tight. Vindil stood and approched a table on steady but slow moving legs. He picked up a shirt and slipped it on without moving his right arm too much, it still hurt to lift it even a little. He drank down the water that was placed on the table and walked out of the cabin onto the spacious deck of the ferry. Vindil looked over the mists of 'Shrouded Lake' and breathed deep. He looked back along the long deck of the ferry and wondered where his new friends were. He had been on this boat in this place recently. Vindil had been here with some friends and some comrades in arms, and while they spent a week in this quiet place, they, for a while, forgot the war and all the uglyness that came with it. As he walked forward dragging his hand along the smooth rail he thought back and smiled. That smile didn't fade when he noticed a slender elven form leaning on the rail at the front of the boat. Vindil approched quietly though he was sure that she heard him. When he leaned next to her and then glanced at her he was glad to see her smiling.
"I wanted to thank you, for saving me. I appreciate your help and I wanted you to know that I will repay the debt, I promise." Vindil looked for her eyes before she responded. She was still lookeing out into the mist created by the hotsprings and the waterfall in this huge lake. He continued to look at the delicate curves of her face. She was truly beautiful. Her eyes sparkled when she turned to respond.

Selia:

" No need to say thank you. It hasn´t been your time to die, as I had been there to help. As a human you are different enough to us fey that trying to heal your wound had been an interesting task. You´re so sturdy it hadn´t been that difficult. One of my kin would have died by this strange bolt. "

Her eyes now rest upon you, reading signs and things no human ever wasted time thinking about. What does she learn about you by simply watching?

"You´re feeling good already? The colour of life has found it´s way on to your skin again and you´re even able to smile. But what are your eyes searching for?"

Sure she had noticed the way you had mused on her curves, strange enough she seems not to know what you´ve been looking for. She isn´t shy, but does she really know the true meaning of the differernce in between men and women? Probably not, may be the pronoun `maiden´ fit´s to her in the deepest meaning, clean and true.

Creeps and the great outdoors

First thing that happened, as soon as I stepped through the portal, was having my boots stuck ankle high in mud. I took almost all my energy just to take a few steps forward. The mud made a sickening sucking sound with every step. I was awfully misty here too... no wonder why they call it, 'Shrouded Lake'. I wasn't exactly standing in the safest area either. Who knows what could lurking in this opening of the lake.

SSSSLICE!!! The body of a giant firefly fell into the mud. Size of an average dog it was, but it was split in half now due to a... knife 'accident'. I didn't know that even insects in this lake were this aggressive. Green foam leaked from the insects mand-... well, both mandibles now. I looked away at the putrid sight.

Suddenly, in the distance, I could hear... I could hear a boat. I was definitly a small boat. Perhaps it was the adventurers the monks spoke of. The chances were actually very likely, seeing as how I couldn't think of any other possible groups of people who could be rowing across these waters... unless the stories are true of course. Stories of how the undead corpses of ancient sailors haunt these waters with their midnight-black boats, and cursed singing... I quickly climbed up the nearest tree for a better view... just to make sure.

Vindil

Vindil looked back at the elven maiden, into her questioning eyes and could only laugh, which hurt and quickly he had to stop and give in to a small fit of coughs.
"My eyes do not search for anything. They were simply in awe of a beautiful maiden. That is all. You always seem to be searching though, for answers in our world. You are always looking around and learning, but I have to ask. What are you searching for? Why do you watch us with such intent, what can our people teach you that you cannot learn from the fey?" Vindil asked as he kept hold of her gaze. Something was there, what was it though? Curiosity? Lonelyness? He didn't know but he intended to find out.

Selia:

"The way of the feyfolk - of my own fey, as they are the only ones I know - is very different from yours. We are living deep in the heart of the forrest, far away from here. It is a life that´s deeply interwoven in to the nature that lives in and around us, with and without us. It can´t be lived without the deepest understanding of natures concept of life and death."

When she talks her eyes loose focus and her voice becomes a dreamlike memory of places you´ve never seen. She talks about the tree of life, the home of her kin and the perfect harmony that can be found in everything.

"One day my mentor told me that there is another World, far away, where the humans live and reign. A strange kind of people he said that struggle with the eternal truth, trying to make it work their way without even knowing what their way might look like. I have always thought about this ever since and one day I decided that I have to learn more about them. I have been wandering around for a long time, but today I´ve found what I´d been searching for. You and your friends. Your souls are such bright and raging fires, hot and consuming, drifting towards new thoughts aimlesly as your whims winds direct your movements. Fascinating."

You can even feel her passionate fascination. If her story is true so far you can say she´s caught fire already, in a few of the possible meanings of the word.

But then something distracted her.

"Indeed humans are strange. What do you think this one standing over there in the muddy water is going to do next? any idea?"

You can only see some swirling mists and looking at this girl is far more pleasant than watching out for people taking a walk on the water, but if she says that there´s someone out there than ít might be better to believe in the truth of her words.

Vindil

"Well, if I were standing in the water the first thing I'd do is to step out of it. I don't see any one anyway. I'm not worried though, Castle troops don't come around here. Thats why I love this place, its the only area where I can find a good sleep. When you are here you can let go of your worry and your responsibility. For me, this place is paradise." As if Vindils words were a spell the mist opened in front of the boat and they could see a magestic waterfall, and next to it, in a large and calm pool, a hot springs, bubling in a few spots.
"Although the company is much better than the last time." Vindil said ans he smiled at her searching eyes. They were wide and wandering, taking in the landscape. "I know how beautiful this place is, but I also know that it can't compete with you." Vindil said and Sheila tore her eyes off of the waterfall and back to him.
Vindil was about to appoligize for how inapporopriate that was but her eyes were not angry, but happy.

Selia:

This time she gives a laugh, a brilliant and pure song of pleasure.
"You can´t compare me with this - I´m not as old and not as perfect, so I can´t match it´s beauty. But to some extend I´m sure you were honest with your words. Please reveal it to me, what do you want to tell me with such a marvellous compliment, what are you up to. Please please, I want to know."
Every other women would be fishing for more compliments asking such a question, but not this elven maiden. She can be as curious as a little child and the joy about the thrilling fact that there is a secret to discover is gleaming in her eyes.

By the way, the one standing in the shallow waters will now know that this isn´t a pirates vessel and for sure there are no undead around. This heavenly sound of such a pure and joyous laughter can´t be done by someone with a tainted heart.

Creeps joins the party

The boat was closer now, and no... it wasn't the fabled undead crew. I believe it was the adventurers this 'Order' spoke so much of. Without any hesitation, I jumped off the branch and landed smack dab in the middle of the boat, barely rocking it at all. It was an elf, and a human, both equally surprised to see me. They went for their weapons, "WOAH! Woah, woah! Hold your horses, I come with no ill-intent WHAT-SO-EVER! I'm here as a FRIEND... you uh-- you get what I'm saying here? Friend? You know, F-R-E-E-N-D?... so uh- don't kill me, just... not yet, okay?".

Selia:

"You see, there had been someone out there standing in the muddy water."

The elven maid did nothing to defend herself or even to attach the strange wet and muddy man who had managed to jump aboard.

"As much as I know about the habits of humans up to now this wasn´t a bright idea, jumping aboard without asking for permision. You can get killed doing such things around here don´t you know?"

Selias behaviour stays calm and peaceful. Why should she bother. This man had stressed out quite clearly that he doesn´t mean any harm. Hadn´t he been that noisy she had taken her bow to make sure he can´t harm anyone, but for now he looks quite harmless.

"So if you are a `Friend´, then who´s friend are you? I don´t know you, so it can´t be me, Vindil looks as if he doesn´t know you too, so you can´t be his. Would you please be so kind to tell me?"

Vindil

Vindil laughed as Sheila told him not to compare her to nature.
"That is not at all true. I can compare you to this because I believe that we, as intelligent beings are perfect in their imperfections. I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you were and how much I find your innocence attractive." Vindil was thinking about kissing her when someone dropped into the missle of the boat behind them and Vindil's hand went instinctivly to where his sword hilt would have been, but then he remembered that his weapons belt was back in the cabin so he crouched and his hand gripped the handle of a boot dagger. The intruder held up his hands and pleaded not to be attacked and said he ment them no harm. Sheila proceded to question the man who he made out to be a thief by his cloths, weapons and just how he moved.

Creeps... explains

"Okay, okay umm... allow me take a seat first". I sat down at the end of the boat, and began to... explain at the best of my ability. "Okay, okay uh... I'm stopping these guys right no, no wait... too far back. Okay, how about this, umm... this old priest guy tells me to check out this place right? And I go to that place, and start looking around. Then this leather person attacks me right? But I get away, just to be chased by the demon lady right? Then uh, I go home, and I get this letter right? Then uh...". I stopped not knowing where to go with this, and judgeing by the expressions on their faces, I quickly changed the pace of my tale. "Okay... long story, made very short. I'm working alongside, 'The Order of Our Lord's Arrow'... yeah, that's right. THOSE guys". Any man our woman who wields a weapon knows of the 'Order', and any of those men or women also know that they mean business. "Yep... that's right sonny-Jim.
