My mother was always wishing upon her children, that their children would be just like them. That was enough for me to decide I didn't want children. I wasn't worried about me so much as that I didn't want kids like my brothers or sisters. LOL


Two cakes? Huh. My mom made one cake and gave the birthday child a piece of that cake to smash up. I don't think it every occurred to her to make a cake just for smashing. I certainly would never have thought to do that. LOL Sounds like she turned out to be a unicorn.

That she is, a magical mystical creacher. And she is everything CG warns about. We got our smash cake from a local grocery store that gives you the first one for free.

Just a very brief ‘hi’ before We begin the winddown in preparation for our return to base 28th March. We’ll have a full medical and debrief before commencing three weeks leave. HSG and I are meeting the boys for a skiing holiday. Hope the snow is good, but more important is the hotel room, especially the bed 4 months is a long time to go without a man *blushing*. I heard from my hubby, he gets there a day before I do. He better be fit!

But, so the ladies from Britain are in the military, a few of them trading to be officers. And at least one is married to an American military personnel, and the others are dating other American personal.

Had a call from HSG. The Wolves are on their way with ETA 21st March. There will be a week’s handover then the Lions & Lionesses return on 28th March.

Things are getting slowly better, day by day. The more time passes, the more the ache dulls. Maybe that's an indicator that it was never meant to be? I dunno, thinking about coulda shoulda woulda makes my brain hurt.

I'll be okay. The more I stuff it down the memory hole, the better I feel. It's a weak and pathetic lie, but it's the only way I can keep going on, otherwise I'll break. I'm walking a fine line, but at least I'm walking it in the right direction this time.
