Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I thank the gods of old China for a cool start to the day. I see the fog laying low along the coast as I sip my coffee in the Inn’s court yard under the arbor and by the lion head fountain. I relish the moment for all ready I can feel the heat of the day beginning to build.

Phoo Ming I think lemonade and gin should be ready for the afternoon.

I am glad you found the bear skin it is back in front of the hearth again. so what have you been up to?

I have been enjoying a wonderful summer here, this one has been one of the best in this country since they started to measure the temps back in the beginning of the 19th century. No rain and around 80 most of the days has turned July into a month to remember. (I guess the backlash is that it probably is environmental issues behind all the broken records ).

I have been lazy most of the time .. at times hiding in the shadow other times trying to improve my tan

How has your summer been ?

Well Ty we started with six weeks of rain and then it got very hot, humid and hazy by Wednesday we are looking at a bout 100 F. You might say air we can wear as it well be humid as well.

But all that said it has been a good summer, commuting between the 21st and 18th century.
