Alex was a bit worried about how Grey would react to the media attention --however small it was. He'd have loved to talk about it with her then, but Grey shifted gears, talking about updating his website.
It was worth considering. Almost every iteration of his site had used the same basic layout, the same color scheme, the same fonts. It was done with an eye toward functionality, and while his writing seemed enough to encourage readership, he had received a comment or two about how he might need to consider updating the thing for more modern sensibilities.
Alex had taken the time to look at Grey's work --it was her blog he tried not to pry into-- and he'd been pretty impressed with what she'd done professionally. Considering she knew enough about his tastes --especially now that they had been intimate-- there was probably no one more fit to take the job.
Alex was about to work out a deal with her --heaven forbid he ask her to do it for free-- but Grey surprised him by laying aside her laptop and giving him a kiss, a subtle hint she was more interested in talking about something else. He responded hungrily, hand lifting to brush her smooth cheek.
He broke the kiss and offered her his hand, wanting to pull her over to his lap --Alex couldn't hide how much he loved the feel of Grey's heat on him. "You know, I can whip dinner up ready to go in no time," he said, a sly smile on his face. "But if you feel like it, I... might be convinced to do something else first."
