We hid in the forest, in a spot where we could see the sea.
“Does it make them kill the children?” I asked
“No.” Giorgio answered “It needs to feed on living things.”
We had brought the spikes with us, but I wasn’t sure we were meant to use them today. There was an unnatural movement below the surface.
“There it is.” He said. The beast began to shake off the water that held him prisoner. It was too horrible to describe teeth and fins blurred in space. There was an unnatural aura around it, as if it didn’t belong in this ‘normal’ dimension of space, or time, or even-reality.
“It doesn’t belong here.” I said
“It’s too large, like a giant with It’s foot stuck in your front door.”
“And it has no eyes.”
Giorgio took aim and sank a spike into its’ immense forehead. It disappeared again below the waves. We sat on the beach for awhile but saw no sign of it.
Last I heard, the dragon has made another appearance but this time it was weaker. Giorgio captured it and dragged it into the city where he destroyed it in front of the Sauhjnodin people. Now there is peace in their city…

thousands of towers filling the sky behind its’ gate. One lone guard stood at its’ entrance, His job was not to protect It’s entrance, rather it was his job to keep those who did not wish to go inside out. “Hello.” Said Rionx. The faceless guard peered through his armor at him. “May I enter?” asked Rionx. “Only If you’re ready.” The metal apparition hummed. “I am.” Said the boy. “Then take this.” And the guard handed him a small blue crystal with a faint light inside. The iron and wood door creaked slowly open, then slammed shut behind Rionx. He looked at the blue crystal for a moment then it disappeared into a fold of his robe. There was a long hallway filled with windows that led into rooms where moments of life played out. Moments, devoid of texture, no history or future, no scenery, just whiteness. Just whiteness and the people caught in these moments. You couldn’t hear their voices only the emotions on their faces and bodies, unless you paused. When you wavered for a moment you could hear the voices and then see and feel the textures, soon you were wrapped in the bodies and thoughts of these people you had lived their whole life and remembered everything they remembered. You would pull and scream for a moment trying to free yourself from this utter disembodiment and terror of this other life lived (A story which I will not tell here)... Until the tendriled embrace unwrapped itself from your mind and spinal column, and sucked itself back into its’ own existence. Then you are near the ground with your hands touching cold marble, and you find that once again you are Rionx, providing that is who you were to begin with. Now you are changing your systematic view to look away from this food for the parasytes. You continue down this passage, staring at the floor, to find the one you came here to find.
