She laughed at him, really laughed. Till she had tears in her eyes.
"OH you are funny Max...a riot. Really now. Give me some credit here. I have brains, I read the book. The simple spell i used to change, as you put it, was nothing serious. All this spell does is change to human for. If it is not cast right, it doesnt work and the change does not happen. Maybe i did concentrate too much, or say it more than i was supposed to. But i read the guide book. The spell you are referring to isnt even inside my book. My book is a begining learning book." She got up, she was kind of cross with him, but she wasnt stupid.

She paced the living room, back and forth a few times. She stopped and turned to Max.
"I would love some help here with this.. hocus pocus stuff.. but the thing is i am not so certain i am a witch! ok? This is very new to me, and frankly kind of hard to believe in. Sure i didnt a spell for wind, and a spell for changing. But that doesnt make me a witch right?"

She was flustered and a little confused.
"I am sorry, i didnt sleep much last night, and im just bitchy is all. I need more time to think on these things ok?"

She was worried, she also was a little frightened. She heard Luke pacing too. Her thoughts were worrying him.

She paced a little bit waiting for Max to wake Rina. She knew Luke would remain in human form until the next sunrise. So she had him as a shoulder to lean on when she needed it most.

"Ok... so Either ive got to learn to control this power.. or just ignore it and not mess with it? Right? If i just ignore it and dont cast any spells i am fine right?"

"What, do I have a rash or something?"
He paused, in the middle of a parking lot. Serina had just sped off, leaving him with only a number, he didn't even get a chance to talk to Elizabeth, and when this gorgeous woman comes over to say hi, she leaves just as fast.
He quickly stopped a woman, asking for a mirror. No, no rashes that he could see.
Nicholas smelled his armpits. Well, a little rank from not having taken a shower today, but still not bad enough for everyone to just leave him.
Maybe he was wrong, maybe this town wasn't as friendly as he first thought. Sighing, he walked back to his dorm room, finishing his packing. He had some classes, but didn't feel up to them. It was Friday anyway, hardly anyone showed up to Friday classes.
Stretching out, he decided it was best to simply get some sleep. He hadn't slept very well, Elizabeth's bed was nice, but he rarely slept well in strange beds.
Looking down at the new bed, he shook his head again. Quickly he pushed everything onto the floor.
Within minutes he was snoring soundly.

ic: Elizabeth eyed the large cat. Looked like a panther to her, but she wasnt sure. The only cat's she was used to was little ones. She heard Rina gasp at the size of the cat, and Lizzie pulled her over to the couch to sit.
Rina "What happened..I cant remember?.."
Lizzie "You ummm were put into a trance, Rina"
Rina Looked doubtful "yeah right"
Lizzie "No seriously, Max.. Over there.. He put you into a trance"
Rina "Well what the hell for?!" She didnt looked pleased.
Lizzie "because I didnt want him just blurting out everything he knew, and he wasnt sure if you knew.."
Rina "dont talk in circles Lizzie, I am still tired.. what is no one supposed to know?"
Lizzie gave an akward grin "Well apparently Rina..... I'm A Witch.. Funny huh?"
Rina "a witch?.." She laughed a little "I know you can be grumpy Lizzie but a witch? Thats not very nice of them.."

Lizzie "No i mean a real witch.. you know.. black cats? Spells? Hexes? That sorta mumbo jumbo...?"
Rina didnt say anything, just sat there looking at her friend.

She sighed and explained further to Rina "The other night, i found this book in my great so on grandmother's trunk. Its a book of beginer's spell. In it was a summones spell. Bored and not knowing.. I cast that spell.. Anyways unbeknown to me, it called to me my Familiar.. Luke. Then I cast a simple wind spell, and it worked... And today I casted a change spell.. And again it worked.
Now im not saying I believe in this stuff.. But it is working Rina. And Max came here, thinking I was killing off the world with my spells." She was silent a moment, but glanced over to Max.
"Did I cover everything, Max?"

She stood by the door, listening to this 'Lizzie" yack on and on and on. She was bored, Really bored. She could sense Slayer outside pacing.
Be calm my pet.. All is well, Go back to Max's house.. I have no need of you right now sweetling.

She gave Rina and Lizzie a once over, and turned to Max.
"I'm leaving for awhile Big Brother.. Do mind your manners with the play things.... hmm ok?" She gave the girls a rather odd wink, and kissed her brother on the cheek.
She whispered just so only he could hear "Oh.. And I will be good.. I promise to be damned good." She turned and walked out the door, heading into the forest.
Once out of sight of the house, she snapped her fingers and appeared at the college once again.
She wanted to find that interesting play toy from earlier. How hard could it be? Men stopped and stared at her as she walked along the college grounds. Her cat suit fitting so tightly, it left nothing to the imagination. She spent an hour looking into the class rooms, and he wasnt there.
"Well fuck, this isnt nice.. my prey is hiding today.."
She moved along until she found a younger guy by the pop machine.
"Hello there good lookin.. Im searching for someone.. maybe you can help me?"
He turned to her and dropped his pop. She giggled.
"I am looking for a guy about so tall.." She described Nicholas to the guy in as much detail as she could remember.
He was flushing and stammering, and Maxine was getting annoyed. "come on Spit it out! Seen him or not?"
The guy nodded and told her the guy she was seeking was across the hallway from his dorm room.
"Well give me the number of his or you room.."
He told her, and she smiled sweetly at him.
"Thank you my pet.." She leaned forward and softly kissed him on the mouth, and walked off. The poor guy almost fainted.
Shaking her head, Maxine made her way to the dorms.

It didnt take her long to find the room that other guy lived in. Now to find the other one.. She turned around and looked at the closest four doors. Shrugging her shoulders, she decided to try each room. The first one was empty. The second she scared some poor nerdy guy who was at his computer, and the third some guy was masturbating in. Left one door, She tried the handle, but it was locked.
"Well fuck, figures!"
She walked into the room with the nerd and his computer.
"I need a bobbypin or a paper clip.. Got one shorty?" He nodded and handed it to her. He tried to talk, but she just turned around and left, slamming his door in his own face. She walked back to the last door, and picked the lock.
She slowly opened the door, and stepped inside.
A smile curving her lips.. Ahh yes.. There was her new friend.
She shut the door and locked it once more. Slowly she strolled over to where he lay fast asleep. Pulling out his desk chair, she sat down and waited. He would wake up soon enough.

Did she have more questions? Yes she did, but she didnt know where to start. Rina still stared at her like she had grown two heads.
"Alright Max, tell me whats expected of me to harness this magic and control it better. I dont want to harm myself or Luke. So tell me what to do.."

Rina "I hate to interrupt, but I have a question.. Lizzie? Luke right? Your 'distant cousin'? That's your familiar? If i am getting this right? The man that was in the room last night with us?"

Lizzie nodded her head. "Sorry Rina, I didnt lie to you, just didnt know how to explain all this, its kind of weird to me.."

Rina looked like she was thinking for a moment, and then turned to Max "How do you know if you are a witch or not Max?" Rina was curious about this as much as Lizzie was. Perhaps Rina had some witch in her too. She was wanting to find out.

She sat in the chair watching him sleep. He looked so vulnerable and young. And very appealing too. She wondered how much fun this one would be. She did love entertainment. And what could it hurt? Slayer wouldnt mind. He was her Familiar, and hers to command. Her brother was boring her at the moment with his prudish ways. She looked down at the sleeping man, and snapped her fingers. He no longer snored. That was an annoying habit men had, and it got on her nerves. Carefully, not to awaken him, she crawled up the bed sliding in behind him. She laid down and put her head on his shoulder. She smiled when he sighed in his sleep. She would lay there until he woke up. She had many ideas in mind for this one. Perhaps she could use this one as a means to get closer to Rina and Lizzie. He was attractive enough for any woman, all she had to do was get him GQ'd up, and introduce him to the girls. Perhaps turn him into a sex god.... probe his mind deeply while he slept and teach him all the desires of a woman. His mind was suseptable to it while sleeping so soundly.... Why not? She put herself into a trance and invaded Nicholas's dreams. She didnt scare him, merely played on his dreams. He dreamt of nothing really, but she put into his mind Serina and Lizzie. She held her breath and waited a second. It was still day time, her familiar should appear within a short time.
Lizzie looked over to where Max sat, her eyes questioning him.
"Rina... your Familiar doesnt always show up instantly, it will have to travel to get to you."
