The Cozy Corner

Here is another vote for autumn as the best season. Autumn got a bad rap growing up as it was associated with the early part of the school year. But, now, I agree with what has been said above about autumn.

Welcome, my friend 🩷

Grab a beverage, get comfy and find your favorite cozy spot.

We've got bean bag chairs, garden swings, poofy sectionals... whatever your heart desires!
Thanks girlfriend❤️ *Grabbing an iced coffee and curling up on the garden swing.❤️Ahhhh
I luckily have ac at home! And it means not doing the ten minute walk to and from the car in the heat or getting into a car that’s been baking in the sun all day 🥵

Welcome! It *is* a cozy place (now 😂)
Thank you, cheeky!

I will be the one to say it. I dislike Autumn after the first like...3 weeks. I hate Halloween. I don't like turkey. I hate raking leaves. Candy corn is an abomination. Everything becomes pumpkin spiced infused ad nauseum.

Give me Spring or early Summer. Sunshine. Greenery. Clear roads.

Also: what happened after 2000 to make us lose several holidays? Like it's now Christmas from Nov 1 - Jan 31, Valentines from Feb 1.-14, then nothing until Halloween on July ,5 which runs until Christmas on November 1 until February again.

Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons. But they seem to get shorter and shorter every year.

Side question: Do you say Fall or Autumn?
Agree on Candy corn ... it is shit.
Raking leaves: Just mow them and mulch them.

It could be that we only seem to get about 2-3 weeks of spring. It goes from cold to hot and there is no adjustment period. I will take Fall / Autumn.

I use both, but more often than not say Fall.

Yes, sometimes Winter feels like it’s 6 months long.

I say Fall because it’s 3 letters shorter….look at all the time I save that way. 👍

"Autumn"
Because its autumn.

But, it's Fall?

Is this an American thing, or a Southern American thing?

I heard a joke about why Americans call it fall

The rest of the world : autumn, from the Latin word autumnus meaning the passing of harvest
The US: we call it Fall ‘cause leaf fall from tree

😂

I’ve always liked autumn though and now I just hear Richard Gilmore saying “I am an autumn” when I say it and it makes me happy

Also,. Don’t rake your leaves .. just let them mulch and feed the lawn. Nobody rakes leaves in the forest or national parks and the land is beautiful so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, don’t rake your leaves! Bees use them during the winter
