After working more then a decade in EMS, by far, Alzheimers/Dementia, Stroke and Cancer are my most feared diseases and/or medical events and diagnosis to have happen to my family or myself. I pray everyday my parents age gracefully without any major ailments, events or diagnosis. Prayers for you both and your fathers! Only positive vibes! That is one of the most terrifying parts of it! That and knowing what my kids would ultimately go through watching one or both of usMy husband is worried he'll go the same route and it scares him to think he might forget our life together
I'm sorry! That's awful! One of my Grandmother's had dementia and it was very hard as a child to see her not even recognize or know my Dad when we visited near the end of her life. It sucks! Its always a friend from highschool if I start to share anything from Lit. The one or two I've ever texted are in contacts as Dr City they live in or something related to them. Obviously Dr. St. Paul or Dr. Vancouver doesn't work but then it's Drs. Lakes and Maple
