I only went ten.... I think I'm going to run a local 50k trail race that I like next Saturday but no taper. Just treat it like a training run.

How long is your next weekend?
22KM but 1200m elev. gain and 250 of that is at the end of the race (you're literally climbing the 900ish steps to the finish line). It's one of the most brutal UTMB majors. I can't imagine the darkness faced by the milers doing those stairs at night... Some dark thoughts to combat I imagine. I am just trying to beat my PB from last year (3 hours 22ish). Even you doing a 50K just casually like that is v admirable. I'd much prefer bleeding my lungs out on a fast 5K... 😭
