Name: Sasha Williams
Age: 24
Stats: 5'2" and slender with B cup breasts, fair skin, blue-grey eyes and raven dark hair.
Sasha resisted the urge to drum her fingers on her desk and eyed her phone for the thousandth time that day. She had finished everything Mr Lassiter had asked her to do over half an hour ago but she didn't dare tell him so. Sasha pecked absently at her keyboard, attempting to look busy.
Mr Lassiter's construction firm had been steadily losing business since the recession hit. Banks wouldn't lend money, the housing market was in freefall, government contracts evaporated and even the business sector was showing precious little growth. He kept telling her it was a temporary setback and that things would right themselves in time but Sasha was getting worried. After a year of frantically running around trying to drum up business, her boss now spent increasing amounts of time holed up in his office. She had no idea what he was doing in there. He spoke to her less and snapped at her more. She was isolated in the little atrium outside his office, all the other admin staff and draughtsmen etc were in big open-plan offices on the other side of sound-proof fire doors. There had been no redundancies as yet but nobody who left had been replaced.
Sasha had gone to work for Lassiter's straight from school and had worked her way up from basic administration to becoming his personal assistant. At the time her good looks had attracted speculation about why he had chosen her but she proved so efficient that soon everybody shut their mouths. Mr Lassiter himself had never shown any desire for her and although he disliked being disturbed by her at work, he seemed happy enough with his wife. Now after six years she knew him perhaps better than many of his close friends but the boundaries imposed by their working relationship meant that she kept most of her intuitive knowledge of him to herself.
Sasha had a boyfriend who was a lawyer but his company was working him into the ground and she rarely saw him. The spark was fizzling for her and he lacked the will to renew it. All in all her life just felt flat these days. Even her best friend and flatmate Keisha was coming home stressed from her from her job as a nightclub hostess. The two girls barely saw one another as Keisha was practically nocturnal but they always hung out at weekend when Sasha got free entry into the club. Keisha got home at around 4am and then woke up at 2pm to be at work by 9pm.
BRRRING BBRRING
It was external. A familiar and bittersweet flash of hope went through her, as it was no doubt going through her boss on the other side of his ordinary wooden office door. She willed herself not to grab it on the first ring. After three rings she snatched up the receiver and attempted to sound like someone with other things to do.
"Mr Lassiter's office, you're speaking to Sasha, how may I help you?"
It was his wife. Sasha was dutifully polite for a few moments, exchanging insincere pleasantries. Mrs Lassiter was a condescending snob but it didn't do to let her know that.
"... I'll put you through."
Sasha felt sorry for her boss as she did so.
She waited ten minutes and then fetched him a coffee. She knocked and entered Mr Lassiter's office with it so he would have an excuse to end his call. Sasha set the fresh cup on his desk and collected the empty one already sat there.
"Anything else I can do?" She asked quietly, not wanting to make it too obvious that she was now at a loose end.
