Agreed...
I think this would make a good story as well...though I think if made into a chain story it might be interesting to let each chapter have a different outcome. Possibly some violent (if you get into that sort of thing) and maybe towards the end you can come to a happy ending of some sort.
If the idea becomes a reality, I wouldn't mind being of help if it was needed.
