Her cheeks flamed red, and for the life of her, she couldn't see what her virginity had to do with anything, but if Zara asked, it must be important...."Y-yes." She stammered, deeply embarrassed. "Does it make a difference?"
It did not, in fact, but Zara had wanted to know. Now it was all the elven-mistress could do to keep her anticipation in check. Young, virgin flesh that had never felt the caress of a luscious tongue or the bite of a punishing whip. Oh, the possibilities!
"It's just fine, Lyssa. That means my magic is going to work just fine for you. Now tell me, what kind of magic would you like to see?"
What kind of magic wouldn't she like to see might have been a better question. Lyssa grinned happily...her visit to the city was turning out better than she ever could have imagined. The possibilities strung themselves out before her like so many stars in the sky, but the answer came to her after a moment's reflection. "Could you tell me about my future? Granny read tea leaves, but it was just a parlor trick, more or less. I'd love to know what my life is going to be like, what Fate has in store for me." She drew a breath and leaned a bit closer to Zara in anticipation of her answer.
Zara laughed invardly. Did this girl really think that the future was set in stone? Oh, sometimes, when great events happened, the destinies of certain people could be acertained through prophecies, but normally, seeing a person's future was just impossible, since the future had not happened yet. But then, Lyssa didn't need to know that. Besides, there were some things about her future about which Zara was quite certain, since she intended to bring them about herself.
"Very well, Lyssa, I shall try. It is no easy thing to do, though, and the results are often unclear. Now, sit on my lap, that will make it easier."
She pulled the girl onto her lap, enjoying the feel of her back pressing against Zara's barely covered chest.
The elven-mistress slipped one arm around Lyssa's waist and held the other hand in front of her face, palm upwards.
After a while, a globe of red light appeared, floating above her hand. A simple light spell, but Zara pretended to see visions inside it. In a far-away voice, she said
"You will have many adventures, Lyssa. You will encounter powerful magic, and even help it to become more powerful. There will be some unpleasant trials, but ultimately, you shall know pleasure as you have known it before."
Lyssa sat awkwardly in Zara's lap, trying not to look to uncomfortable at the feel of the woman's breasts pressing firmly into her back. Surely she didn't mean to brush against Lyssa like that, and a certain amount of proximity did make sense, as it must be easier to read the future when in physical contact with the person involved. She listened to Zara's words with rapt attention, and she soon forgot her discomfort. Adventures and magic! Those two words stuck in her eager little mind, the rest fading into the background and forgotten quickly. "Oh, Zara, thank you!" She hugged the elf impulsively. "I'm ever so glad to have met you. And to think, I didn't think I would find a friend here. You've been so kind to me. Is there anything I might do to repay you? I know I'm not powerful or a magic-user like yourself, but if you think of anything at all, I'm in your debt." She smiled guilessly and slid back to her place on the stone.
Oh, you'll repay me all right, girl. And you won't enjoy it.
Zara wondered a little that the barmaid hadn't shown up yet, bu that did not matter. She would fine them...if she cared to. If not, Lyssa would provide the enjoyment and power Zara needed.
"Well, it might just be that you can help me, Lyssa" Zara said. "It just so happends that I need to complete a few spells which require the participation of a human virgin.
Leaning closer, so close that Lyssa could see herself in the elf's violet eyes, she said "I must warn you, however. The ways of the elves are different than those of the humans, and we have some rituals that you might consider slightly...intimate. But i would be glad if you would help me."
A hint of unease stirred itself in the back of Lyssa's brain. Intimate? She shivered a bit, but Zara had been so nice to her, and it would be terribly ungrateful not to do what she could to help, now wouldn't it? "I...I suppose I could try, but I don't know how good I'd be at anything to do with magic." She half hoped Zara would change her mind, but inwardly resolved to do her best to help her newfound friend.
Now where had she gone? Trying hard not to be spotted while tailing the pair of them was proving more difficult than she had expected. It's not as if an Elf of that stature with a human (partner?) in tow was that popular.
Over at the door? They were leaving already? Maura could have sworn they had made their way to the side of the bar. Ducking down to the floor, Maura rolled out under the tent into the open air.
Part of her brain was fogged up, and couldn't quite work out why she had to follow the pair of them. But it just wasn't getting through to her consciousness.
"Damm," under her breath, she had lost them in the crowd. Again.
She felt close though. They were heading over to the lakeside as the left the bar, so Maura aimed for there, before running into a wall of muscle.
"Hoi! Watch where you're running.. Maura?"
Maura stumbled back onto the ground from the impact. Glancing up, she spotted one of her regulars. "it's not as if you were in the way, Brii. You not used to being vertical?
Maura picked herself with Brii's help. "I gotta be on my way. See you inside for the games this evening?"
A nod from Brii and Maura was away again. Within seconds, the twisted ankle from the fall was protesting, and she had to stop. Reaching down to massage the injury she could feel the swelling begin. Was nothing going to go right today? Scanning the lakeside, there was nobody there.
She sat breathlessly as Zara simply smiled, then caught a glimpse of someone walking past the stone upon which they were seated. The red hair was familiar, but the woman hadn't seen them yet. "Isn't that the tendress from the bar?" she asked Zara as the figure moved past them. "Should we invite her to join us? Maybe she could help with your magic too."
Zara smiled and licked her lips as she finally caught sight of Maura.
"It seems she got hurt...I'll see what I can do, but first I need a little help from you, Lyssa."
I wihtout wainting for an anwer, she leaned forward, and kissed the yound girl on the lips. Without waiting, Zara then approached the barmaid.
Kneeling, she furtively kissed her ankle. Immediately, healing magic coursed through Maura's body, restoring her swollen ankle and removing all hurt--after all, all pain the girls would be feeling tonight should be inflicted by Zara herself.
Standing up again, Zara flashed an insolent smile. "shouldn't you be tending your bar?"
Ren quickly put the cloak on and turned around. Mysteriously, the strange creature and woman had disappeared.
Her breath caught in her throat. Two of her father's guards had entered the bar. She pulled the hood over her head more tightly and looked around frantically for an escape...
She could only gape as Zara kissed her, and swept away. Lyssa's heart pounded, fear and...something else warring for dominance in her mind. She didn't understand her own reaction to the elf at all. It was as if she were drawn to Zara against her will, but that was certainly a ludicrous thought. The other waman was just being kind to her because it was so obvious how very inexperienced she was. Yes, that was surely the whole of it. She waited on the rock quietly, trying to sort her own thoughts out.
Something brushed her ankle. She jumped back, and tried to see what had caused it. She couldn't see anything apart from the shingle of the shoreline. The corner of her caught a shimmer over at a collection of rocks.
Where had the pain gone? Her ankle felt fine. What was going on here? Her brain was trying to tell her, shouting at her, but she couldn't hear- "The Bar!"
Why was she away from the Bar? If her father was still running the business she would be in serious trouble. For chrissake, she'd fired girls for hanging round certain customers too much on busy nights, and here she was swanning down the beech to.. follow an Elf???
"Get a grip," she shouted to no-one in particular, and started to run back to the crowd.
Zara grinned as she watched Maura run away again. The cloaking spell was definitely working. She had considered truly letting the barmaid join in, but then decided against it. I must still work on Lyssa a little, firt. And on Maura as well, for that matter.
Over the distance, Zara reached out with her magic and found the enchanted diamond that Maura was still carrying. She enhanced the spell, modified it, creating quite a complex weave of illusion...
Fromn now on, Maura would often think to see some of the people around completely naked. As soon as she would look closer, she'd see everything back to normal, as if she had just imagined it.
Zara smiled. The wench would be ready for quite some action when it was finally time.
Definitely dropping her cloaking spell, Zara went back to Lyssa.
"It seems the barmaid was too busy and could not stay. Now, let us prepare for that magic...here, drink this, it's a potion that will make you far more receptive to magic of any kind."
She gave a small phial with a transparent liquid to the young girl...not telling her that it was in fact a powerful if slow-working aphrodisiac.
Lyssa took the potion Zara gave her and looked at it doubtfully, but then she drank it, eager to please her new friend. The stuff slid over her tongue and settled in her stomach, creating a sensation of wamth. She smiled and handed Zara the now-empty vial. "It's very sweet" she said with a bit of a wince. "What now?"
Sighing now, she slips from the store, bowing her head a bit. Weaving her way through the masses of people, she spot a small tavern. Seaking refuge from the masses in the streets.
This place seems to be quiet, despite the goings on...., she murmered as she sliped in and took a look around.
Finding a vacent table, she bows her head to reorganize her thoughts. She could not go home empty handed, yet she could not gain what she needed either... she really needed to think about this one...
Zara smiled at the girl.
"Well, Lyssa, I'm afraid that in order to participate in these magic rituals, you will have to be accordingly dressed."
With a wave and a quick spell, Zara produced a short skirt and a sleeveless top, both of red silk. The silk was not as gauzy as that of Zara's garnments, but the clothes themselves were not exactly conservative.
They would leave Lyssa's arms, stomach, and her legs below her thighs exposed. The top also had a cleavage just deep enough to suggest indecency.
