Tanith stood just on the edge of the blossoming night. The shadows hid her well as she watched the passers by. She could sense the ease of the end of the week as the weekend approached. It reeked off the tight assed, business men she saw.

The sounds around her seemed to drone on and on, mundane. Constant, vigilant. One might say it was a world filled with sameness. Yet, somewhere, in the streets, she could hear hearts beating. Those who were like her, yet not in anyway.

She could walk among the living, and copulate among the dead. Her soul was cold, hard and dead like she should be. Yet, her body needed the warmth of a human touch. Each night, she wandered from this place or that, looking, searching.

She had many hundred years of experience with such. Yet, each night, she seemed to search and seek out those of a perverse nature. The pain was immense, but the release she sought was wonderful. She listened deep into their souls as she walked amongst them. She heard the inner desire for control, release, pain, pleasure, even sometimes, death.

Death she could give them. That was something she was very good at. The other things? They came as they came. She could not control them as she could not control her own hunger.

Her appetite was huge. Tonight would be no exception. Tonight she would sate her desires, for a little while until the sun came up and she hid from the world. The outside world for hers was the world of the dark. The night, a time of ending was her beginning.

Raven Sky Cioppela walked quickly down the darkened streets. Seemingly sliding in between and past those that traveled in the same direction. Her dark trench coat hid her ample curves and full breasts as she walked hurriedly from her office at The Daily Times to her loft in the inner city.

Her dark almost black hair was pinned up neatly upon her head, the sounds of her heels clicking upon the pavement was the only comfort she seemed to have.
She'd been a journalist in college and had a couple of assignments thus far at her new position there.

Ravens new assignment was to look into the darker side of the city. She was almost elated to accept it. In general she appeared to be shy and reserved. Always wearing black and being mysterious. The girl held a lot of secrets with in her.

As she turned the corner to her loft she sensed something, not quite sure how to describe the feeling. She had the feeling a couple times a week since she moved here. Almost as if she had a guardian angel watching over her. Stepping inside and bolting the door she plopped down on her over stuffed sofa clicking on the tv and clicking play on her dvd player.

Kicking off her heels she began Queen of the Damned for the millionth time fascinated with the possibilities and wishing secretly that vampires did exist.

She had seen the lady in black as she had referred to her so casually, many times. Tanith always liked to watch her as she scurried from her work place where ever that may be to the loft apartment.

She could sense the woman's curiousity, but lacked the desire for women enough to act on it. Tonight though, she followed her. Not to closely. She did not want to scare her off.

She just wanted to read her mind. To touch her senses. Yet she could not get close enough to do that before the woman entered the building. Tanith stood outside her window, watching the shadows move about the upstairs.

She sighed heavily and turned to walk back into the city. The night would be coming into full bloom soon and she was sure, there was some hot blooded man out there, looking for a one nighter. Those were always the best meals for her. The desperation, the crazy lustful sex, the end.

It was all about the end for Tanith.

Having reached her favorite part of the movie where La Stat bites Jesse, she paused it and got up. "Time for work" she said to her empty house. Walking to her closet she pulled out evening outfit she had bought a few weeks ago.

Making her way to the bathroom she placed her make up on normally. She loved black clothes, but never felt the need to look like a raccoon in the process.

Grabbing her bag she headed out the door. Stopping only for a moment to lock the door before heading to the local club called The Darkside.

The Darkside was one of those clubs the societies norm would never step foot in. People of all uniqueness' gathered. It was the place of gathering for the social outcasts that dared to be different.

Xavier Driretlan had found himself once again in the odd club of outcasts, 'The Darkside'. He had never really felt at home in this place, too many people who wanted to feel special, too many people who thought that by acting strange they were being unique, some of them yammering about how they were creatures of the night, like they were the lead in some sort of vampire film. He hated those ones the most. They acted as if they knew what it was that they were talking about. None of these children had even ever taken a life.

He was wearing a crisp white dress shirt, the top three buttons undone to show off a bit of his slim hairless chest. On his lower body was a pair of tight black jeans, the contrast between the white and black being something that Xavier very much enjoyed. On his right hand he wore a silver ring of the claddagh, the heart that the two hands were holding was pointing down along his finger. The man's hair was straight and long, seeming almost feminine, and it had long crimson streaks running through it which were obviously not natural. He was sitting at a booth style table completely alone, his emerald eyes flashing over the crowd every once in a while, when he was particularly agitated with what someone was saying or how they were acting his eyes seemed to flash crimson for a moment, but it was possible that was just some trick of the odd lighting in the club.

He had chosen this place because somehow he had thought that he would be less noticed by others in this place, but it was becoming painfully obvious to him now that he was by far the most normal person in the entire establishment. It was truly a pity, but at the same time, these people were outcasts of society, if he was going to get a meal, one of these people would be best, after all, he couldn't imagine that anyone would miss any of them.

He turned his eyes back to the drink before him. It seemed to be some sort of red wine, but it also looked as if he hadn't touched it. His eyes then slowly turned up to take in the form of the woman who had just walked in. He watched her closely for a few moments. She didn't look nearly as outrageous as some of the people in this place. He suspected it would lead to her being heckled. At the same time, he didn't feel nearly as bothered by her though.

He sighed and looked back to his drink. It really didn't matter in the end. These human lives were so short and uneventful. None of them could have grasped the complexity that was his life anyway.

As she entered the club she sighed lightly. Darker side of the town they wanted and it brought her here. These people were a joke, none of them understood the complexity of what darkness was. It wasn't something that they could just wake up and decide to be. It wasn't about the torture of animals to look cool, or being a jackass to gain attention either.

She began walking around looking for a place to sit. Her eyes cast over a guy that actually looked quite normal for this place. Not giving it much thought and not being a social creature that would come to these places to pick up men, she took a seat on the bench behind him.

She opened up her notebook and began to write mumbling to herself. "the music is obtusely obnoxious, the people that roam aimlessly are either looking to score drugs, women, or experiment in something they know nothing about, and this is what the society norms deem as the darkside...no bad intro."

Just as she was getting ready to start over two guys took a seat at her bench. "hey, my friend an i wanna take you home and make you scream in pain an delight, we're real vampires want us to suck ur blood"
Raven looked up at them from one to the other and laughed. "you two, real vampires..really, then explain to me this.. in the year 1727-1732 - Arnod Paole wreaks his vampiric havoc on the small town of ??" (Meduegna.)
"Come on boys, this is vampire 101 every vampire knows their history."

"well, look we gotta go.." they both got up an left without looking back. "morons" she mumbled as they left and went back to writing.

Xavier had gotten up as the two men had approached the woman, prepared to hurt them a little should they try to hurt the woman. He then noticed as she quizzed them a bit to get them to go away. He smirked softly. She was as clever as she was beautiful, but it wasn't a trait that he was sure was necessarily a good one. It could get her in a lot of trouble if she talked smart around someone who didn't want to be talked smart to. He decided at that moment that he was going to have to teach this girl a thing or two about vampires.

He quickly slipped through the crowd, moving like smoke, or some kind of liquid, seeming to simply appear behind and to the right of her, almost as if he had phased through the crowd. He looked at what she had written over her shoulder, smirking as the words on the page echoed his feelings for the entire night. These people had been rather annoying. He hadn't seen any of them doing anything occult that they couldn't have understood yet, but he was sure that somewhere there was someone who was doing something phenomenally stupid because they were bored...or just as stupid as the thing that they were doing. He doubted that any of these humans even knew the meaning of the word 'vampire'. They were all far too tame.

He looked down at her for a moment from his standing position, before brushing out his white shirt a bit, since he hadn't tucked it in (it seemed to be a size or two too large on him now that he was standing. He smiled softly and then spoke, "And what makes you think that all vampired would know that Arnod Paole caused all of his ruckus in the small town of Medeugna?" He smirked bringing his thumb ti his chin, "You seem to be very sure that you would know which facts a vampire would know. How exactly would that be miss..." He trailed off, waiting for her to fill the blank for her name.

"its quite simple actually" she didn't seem perturbed by the standing over her shoulder. She was actually disturbingly cool and calm.

"Those two morons wouldn't have a clue about what a vampire would or would not know, as actually neither do i, i can only presume for i have yet to meet one and ask him one of my many trivia questions such as .. when where vampires first written about? (600 bc anceint greece)., or who the first woman convicted of being a vampire was (1610 - Elizabeth Bathory).

"Its really quite simple you see" she said lightly, "those that proclaim to be are most likely not, for those that where would not disclose it so quickly and informally. A vampire is not an abomination, they are are race of knowledge and wisdom that extends beyond what any mere human can comprehend. Or again, so i would presume for i have yet to meet one and decide for myself."

During this time of her declaration, she didn't look up she merely kept writing. Scratching words out here and there as she tried to get the ones she was searching for. She ignored the question about her name, not really finding much importance in disclosing it. It was almost as if she half expected him to leave during her little lecture.

Xavier smiled softly as he looked down at the woman, watching as he pencil continued to scribble down words on the page. She seemed a bit cocky, but at the same time, spoke with a logic and understanding that it was very possible that she might not be right. He simply chuckled as she continued to quiz him, probably hoping that it would make him go away like it had the two previous problem people.

He spoke softly, his voice still calm, but seeming a bit more soothing than it had before, "But surely you must realized by now that this place is filled with people who proclaim to be vampires, or experts on the topic. I'm sure if you looker hard enough you would find someone who could tell you that the first recorded history of Vampires was in ancient Greece somewhere around 600 BC, and the first woman accused of being a vampire would be Elizabeth Bathory. Surely you can't be the only expert on vampires in a place like this." He continued to smirk softly at her.

He had slipped his hands into his pockets, waiting for her to continue her pointless quizzing of him, since he was finding it mildly amusing to continue to answer her questions, and not leave her alone like the previous wannabes did. His eyes flashed crimson for a moment as he smiled at the woman. Playing with this one had been fun so far. He wondered how long it would take her before she realized that he was playing with her, and she decided to switch to a different tactic.

She smiled slightly as she wrote. "perhaps i am not the only person with knowledge of vampire history, but i would not proclaim to be an expert, for again i have never met one. Nor would i proclaim that i would be a vampire, for nor would anyone that took the time to learn about them. For you see with that comes a certain level of respect for a culture that is beyond our own understanding. Wouldn't you agree?"

Xavier smiled softly as she said that. So she had spent all of this time learning about vampires because she had a respect for their culture? That was interesting. He looked at her for a few more moments, trying to think of where he would go next in this conversation.

He looked up slowly to look around the club, "So, if that is the case, then why is it that you have decided to plunge yourself into a place where this culture has become nothing but pop-culture that people try to emulate, and speak of that which they do not know in an attempt to pick up women and award themselves a level of importance that they neither have nor deserve?" His smirk was still on his lips, his hands still thrust into his pocket, "Would you call this cesspool a 'culture' that you are researching so that you can better respect it?" He scoffed at the very thought, "You should save your respect for those who deserve it. These people are attempting to rape and adapt something that they know nothing about. This isn't a 'culture' as you would say." He smiled softly, "It is more simply a group of angsty young people who are attempting to find understanding and acceptance among each other by faking an understanding of something greater than they are."

"Again sir you've taken my words and twisted them." "When i refer to culture, i refer to that of a Vampire, not a clad wannabe with a lost essence of what they themselves are or who they are. This is unfortunately what 'society' would deem as the dark side of the city. I am simply attempting to expose it as a facade of their fears of those that wish to be different to make them fear it. I don't begin to take these 'goths' as anything more then a cry for self declaration." "As for my purpose here, well i am a writer for the paper. I'm here merely on assignment nothing more, nothing less. It is simply not a place i would like to spend my Friday evening, but alas i am here none the less. And you? well versed as you are? Why would you expose yourself to the pop wannabes? Surely you can't be here to pick up the latest goth girl with hopes of reforming her?

Xavier smiled softly at that. It seemed that this woman was very clever indeed. He thought about his answer carefully before saying anything and then spoke softly, "The reason I am here..." He spoke it softly, hoping that by letting those words slip out the rest of it would follow, but it took several moments before he had thought of anything else to say.

"Quite possibly the only reason that I am here is because I have no where else to be." He smirked softly as he looked at her, and then continued to speak with a brutal truth to all of his words, "On a Friday night such as this one, I would usually find a simple minded goth girl seduce her, treat her to a wild night of sex, and t hen after finishing with her, deposit her back at her home where she is in no danger from herself or the people in this place." He looked at the back of her head for a few more moments, "You on the other hand, don't seem to fit into this place, which is why you caught my interest. You very much look like you are the kind of woman who would spend her Friday nights alone in your pajamas curled up with far too many soft pillows on your couch, a bowl of popcorn in your lap, and a rental from blockbuster playing on your television because you want to return it on Saturday morning." He smirked softly, "You don't carry yourself in the same way that the loose goth girls do here. You seem a bit more...conservative, a bit more...private. The kind of girl who believes in true love, and is waiting for a knight in shining armor to appear and sweep her off her feet, rather than the kind of woman who looks for any man who might be able to give her a screaming orgasm."

He smiled softly for a few more moments, "My suggestion, is, if you want to fit in here a bit more, it would probably be best to go a bit heavy on the eyeliner, and develop a fetish for safety pins and handcuffs." He yawned and then turned, getting ready to return to his table, or possibly even leave.

She laughed lightly "fitting in would be a bit to redundant" she said lightly. "I'm not here to mingle or mix in, for that would be an insult to all i stand for. But i think perhaps i may have chosen the wrong ambiance for my piece, for i certainly am lacking inspiration here." She gathered her notebook and pen placing them back in her over sized purse. "I think i shall go watch that DVD i must return by tomorrow, for certainly my life is too empty with out it." She said coolly, her eyes looked up at his briefly as she rose only to give him a polite smile and move past him.

It took a lot for someone to get to her, she normally was quite good at disarming them.
He didn't have her completely pegged but it was close enough to cause her to be irritated. She wasn't sure about the whole true love romance thing, she hadn't really had much experience or thought on the subject. While most girls fantasized about princes, she did on vampires.
Her brief look at him caused that familiar feeling she sensed on her walks home.

He smirked as he looked at her, speaking up in an attempt to stop her before she got too far away from her, "Or if you would rather take a step farther into your exploration of this culture that you are studying, I could treat you to that screaming orgasm I mentioned before." He looked over to her, his eyes flashing crimson again, if only for a moment. He smiled softly, knowing that she would be able to feel his eyes on the back of her head even though they were several feet away now, "I'd hate to leave you wandering the streets alone, after all, I'm quite sure that if you dismissed any more men, like the two that you got rid of earlier, you might have a bit of a problem making it home safely." He yawned, "I've grown tired of this place anyway. If you would like I can walk you home and then leave you at your doorstep so that you won't have any unpleasant interruptions to stop you from watching that video so you can get it back to the store on time."

He yawned softly, "Truth be told, there are a few dark, and undesirable parts to the things that the people here do. It would be a pity if you became a target to one of them because you decided to go home alone rather than with someone who could protect you." He shrugged, "I had been a bit interested in you to be honest, but if you'd rather walk home alone, and leave me to find a willing goth girl...well...I suppose I won't argue with you." His eyes seemed to flash crimson again, "Even though I think you deserve my attention more than any goth wannabe."

she stopped for a moment feeling that sensation again severely. How was it he could manage to insult her, demean her existence, and yet come across as he wished to protect her. She shook her head lightly.

"its a free world she said blankly, if your conscious demands it by all means who am i to stop you from guarding my passage. As for my knowledge, i don't hardly think that you have anything more to add that I'd be interested in. However if its a loose trollop you're seeking, stay I'm sure you'll find one more then willing to be charmed by your arrogance. With that she stepped out into the cool air. Wrapping her jacket tight around her she began to walk quickly home.

She had never been so irritated and so insulted and so intrigued in the same breath before. Who the hell was this guy, and why was she still thinking about him. He amused her, caught her interest, and then verbally slammed her into a wall.

Xavier had smiled softly and then moved, following the woman silently, always being a few steps behind her, but not even making a whisper of noise. She had, in a sense, invited him to follow her, and so he had. He took a few more moments, thinking about the whole ordeal. He then smirked softly and picked up his pace, moving up to be directly behind her, without making any noise at all, he then whispered softly, "It isn't a trollop that I am after. If I was after a cheap thrill, or an easy slut, I wouldn't have talked to you in the first place. As I said, you are far too conservative to be interested in the charms of a strange man who you had just met in, of all places, a bar." He smiled softly, knowing that his whisper had been just next to her ear, and she would have been able to hear it all too clearly, "You interest me for a myriad of reasons that a goth girl would not. Rather than fast nameless fucking, I'd much rather have an intellectual conversation with you." He smiled softly, "Perhaps if you grow to desire it, I'll give you pleasures of the flesh, but you don't have to worry about me taking you without permission. I wouldn't demean myself with such a thing as rape, when there are plenty of trollop girls more than willing to spread their legs for me."

He slipped his hands into his pockets to stop himself from slipping his arms around this woman's waist. It was probably something in the way that she was trying to deny him that was causing him to seek her more. He smirked softly. This would definitely be fun, "Lets start, shall we? First, I will tell you the root reason as to why I am interested in you, if you tell me why it is that you are so interested in vampires."

she sighed lightly and continued to walk. "you first chastise me as being a contemporary couch potato, and now you try to charm me with how i stand apart from those that try the hardest to be apart. You truly know how to win a girls heart." she said forcefully. She continued walking and added "And i'm just thrilled beyond belief to know that you won't demean yourself by raping me. Nice touch" she added sarcastically.

Being as that you seem to know your vampire facts then perhaps you know who Dom Augustin Calmet ((1672-1757) was a monk of the Benedictine order. His work, Treatise on The Appearance of Spirits and on Vampires, attempted to divorce the vampire from its link to Satanism and demonic forces.) was. I'm his great great great great niece. Does that solve your inquisition as to why I'm interested in vampires. Or perhaps you'd like to hear more about the knight on the horse she said with more sarcasm.

He infuriated her beyond belief. Really teach her about the flesh if she wanted. It was too bad that he was good looking, and exactly the type of guy she would date if she dated or ever had dated.

Xavier nodded softly, "Well, that is indeed a good reason to be interested in me." He looked at her, "And as for why I said that I would not demean myself by raping you, it is not because I do not find you attractive. I actually find you quite attractive, and this attraction is probably enhanced because you are resisting me so." He smiled softly, "But that is not the reason that I am so interested in you."

He continued walking with her for a few more moments before speaking again, "You see, I am interested in you, because you are interested in me, though you don't know it yet. I'm telling you this because I know that there is no way that you'll believe me, and even if you did, when you wake up tomorrow morning this will probably all seem to you to be a glorious dream in which you met a real vampire, and then made it back home without him marring your precious neck." He had pulled his hands out of his pockets and now held them behind him as he walked, "I now have all of the information that I needed. You can continue to question me if you really want to, but I can't guarantee that I will grant you any answers, and even if I do, I can't guarantee that they will be truthful." He looked over to her with his piercing emerald eyes, "I'll get you home safely, and then I'll probably go find a willing trollop and give her sex in exchange for food. You won't write up 'I met a vampire' in your paper, because no one will believe you, and even if they did, you'd rather not have the masses hunt me down, which they would because people fear things that are different from them." He smiled softly, "If you ask nicely maybe I'll give you something so that you can prove to yourself that this wasn't all a dream in the morning."

she couldn't help but laugh at him as he gave her his "I'm a vampire" speech. "i see" she said lightly. "well just to give you an idea, first of all i wouldn't tell anyone if i met a vampire, because i wouldn't want them to think i was insane, as well as if they could comprehend the possibility of there being such a thing, i wouldn't want them to be committed for being insane. As for your questions that you have so graciously offered to me. I think i will pass, not because i don't have questions, but because if you can't promise to answer honestly then theres no point in asking. If i wanted to be lied to I'd go watch a Dracula movie, or better yet, perhaps i should have gone home with the dumb ass twins."
she shook her head and walked silently for a moment.. then added "Whether you are or aren't a vampire is really no concern of mine. After all I'm sure once this night commences and you feel you've done whatever chilvaric duty you had to do, I'll never see you again. So it would be quite pointless for me to give it a second thought." "on the other hand if you are interested in me as you say you are, I'm sure that you'll find a way to see me again." Reaching the step of her loft she unlocked the door. "good night, thank you for the escort" and shut the door locking it behind her before he could answer. Her heart had never raced so fast as the way he made it beat. He was infuriating, invigorating, and dare she even think it.. he could be a vampire. It would explain the senses she got, it was a hereditary thing she was told.

Xavier smiled softly as he looked as the woman slipped into her home and closed and locked her door. He could still hear her racing heartbeat. He could smell the adrenaline that was coming off of her. She was either afraid or excited, and in either case it excited him. He thought about what he would like to do and discovered that he didn't really want to go find a trollop to sex and feed off of, instead deciding that he wanted to save his appetite in both areas for this woman, who he was certain wouldn't be able to resist him much longer.

He wasn't sure anymore. He was starting to believe that it was all because she was resisting him so much. Whatever the case was, he wanted to hear her scream in orgasm as he body spasmed beneath him. He wanted to sink his teeth into that neck of hers when she reached her peak. He smirked softly. He was considering using her as his personal food source.

He brought up his hand, thinking about all of this for a moment before his fingers curled, turning his hand into a tight ball of bone and flesh, and then he gently tapped on the door. He hadn't decided what it was that he was going to say, he was out of charming things to mention however. Maybe he would just grab her and pull her out into the street for a few minutes until she realized that she should be his. He didn't care if she was happy about it, all he was looking for was acceptance.

Riley sat on the steps up to her loft, her heart racing. She had never had anyone irritate her so much with in such a short period of time. Who was he?, and why did he have such an effect on her. There had to be some logical explanation but for the moment it escaped her. Him a vampire, what kind of questions could she drill him on if she ever met him again? For the first time she had nothing to counteract his statement. Nothing to ask, or add to that conversation. He left her speechless.

She got up and ran up to her loft collapsing on the sofa and turning on the TV with the remote. She pressed play and Lastat took Jesse gently in his arms and fed her his blood to bring her alive again. How she wished she could find a Lastat. Shaking her head a knocking on the door down stairs interrupted her.

No one would come knocking this time of night. She pressed pause kicking off her shoes and treaded down the stairs. Looking through the peep hole he stood there. "Sorry" she said through the door "no trollups here." Her heart began racing again.

Xavier smiled softly when she answered the door. Perhaps there was hope for her yet. He placed his palm against the door and closed his eyes. What was he going to do now? He still hadn't really put that much thought into it.

He slowly opened his eyes again and spoke softly, "I have grown tired of trollops." He smiled softly slowly tracing patterns on the door with the tips of his finger, "I am sure you can tell me that I speak the truth. Imagine if your only food source was something as bland and unexciting as a trollop, and then suddenly something far more appetizing were to walk right up to you." He continued to let his fingers run over the door, "You are far too cruel to me, you know."

He looked up at the glass hole that would let her see him, but not let him see her, "I guided you home, promised you that I wouldn't use your body against your will, even though I find you appealing, and then, when we arrive you become so cold..." He slowly pulled his hand away from the door, "You didn't even give me your name." He sighed softly, and then brought his hand back up, running his finger in a wavy pattern down the door, "This is rather difficult for me, you have to understand." He looked up to the hole again, "Usually when I am interested in a woman they are insanely interested in me...but you are the complete opposite, which only makes me more interested in you. You see how this could be a problem."

His eyes traveled back down to his finger, "Now, I am prepared to negotiate with you." He looked back up to the hole, "You see, I would like very much to feed on you. Don't worry, you'll be fine, it's just like donating blood. In return I am prepared to give you something that you want. It could be something as simple as me leaving you alone until I get hungry again. If I like the way you taste we can negotiate again when I become hungry." He smiled softly, "Who knows, maybe you'll be the one to be my only food source..." He smirked, "Really that's actually quite more romantic than it sounds."

"Are you on medications?" she asked with a hint of laughter followed by one. "You insult me and practically call me an contemporary couch potato, you scold me as if I'm a child for going out to a nightclub, then you mock me for not fitting in to the scene I'm merely there to write about. And now you tell me you're a vampire, and you want me to give you my blood." "And I'm suppose to be honored that you want me as your food source? Call me crazy if you will but I'm not finding the urge to jump for joy." "Your declaration of interest, was just negated by you wishing to make me a blood doll. When you can figure out how to hold my interest, without offending me, well you know where i live. Good Night Count Arrogance."

He smirked softly, "Those things aren't what I said. You are contemporary, but that isn't a bad thing, it makes you more appealing than a trollop. I don't believe I was scolding you for going to the club either, I merely asked why you were there. Mocking you was the farthest thing I was doing back there, because really, the people at that club are nothing that anyone should aspire to be like, and mentioning that you are very much different from them is something that should be taken as a compliment, not an insult." He chuckled softly.

"As for the next part, I am indeed a vampire, and I do indeed desire your blood." He looked at the door for a few more moments, "You are possibly the only normal person who I have met who isn't likely to scream and run away in terror or turn to whatever paper will listen and say 'I was bitten by a vampire' for their headline." He smiled, "So, the fact that you aren't going to tell anyone gives you the same appeal as the trollop goth girls who I seduce for a meal. The fact that you aren't anywhere near as out there as they are gives you an edge over them." He looked over to his hand as he gently ran his nails over the door, "The fact that I won't have to sleep with you in order to earn my meal makes you my ideal meal ticket." His eyes closed slightly as if he was deep in thought, "As a result, I find it interesting that I actually hunger as much for the opportunity to sleep with you as I do for the blood that pumps through your veins...interesting..."

He looked back up to the eye hole, "I'm afraid that I'm not entirely sure how this should work. Usually in the fiction books the woman immediately becomes enamored with her vampire counterpart. This is very much different than the fiction books." He blinked once and then spoke softly, "I think that if I introduce myself it may help to get things moving along here. My name is Xavier Driretlan. Difficult to pronounce, I know. May I ask the name of the fair maiden who I met this evening?"
