The Department of Government Efficiency (aka DOGE)

now it's shutting off funds to a Lutheran charity known for its refugee aid

“The corruption and waste is being rooted out in real-time,” Musk posted on X, saying officials reporting to his so-called Department of Government Efficiency are “rapidly shutting down” payments to a Lutheran charity.

In any case, Musk has vociferously signaled his intent to turn off the money hose beyond just the USAID. As Bloomberg reports, the world's richest man declared that DOGE would cut off grants to Lutheran Family Services, a Christian non-profit that provides social services and relief to refugees.

"The DOGE team is rapidly shutting down these illegal payments," tweeted Musk, who not too long ago openly embraced the teachings of Christ.

and, now, NOAA

Staffers with Elon Musk’s “department of government efficiency” (Doge) reportedly entered the headquarters of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa) in Silver Spring, Maryland, and the Department of Commerce in Washington DC today, inciting concerns of downsizing at the agency.

“They apparently just sort of walked past security and said: ‘Get out of my way,’ and they’re looking for access for the IT systems, as they have in other agencies,” said Andrew Rosenberg, a former Noaa official who is now a fellow at the University of New Hampshire. “They will have access to the entire computer system, a lot of which is confidential information.”

Project 2025, written by several former Trump staffers, has called for the agency to be “broken up and downsized”, claiming the agency is “harmful to US prosperity” for its role in climate science.

“There’s no real transparency. They just show up wherever they want, do whatever they want. They’re following through on major budget cuts and major staffing cuts,” Rosenberg added. “I think the strategy here is: ‘Well, we’re just going to do it and dare somebody to stop us, and by the time they stop us, we’ll have destroyed it.’”
^^ exactly
In response to the prospect of potential cuts of personnel, budget or mission at Noaa, Beth Lowell, US vice-president of the ocean conservation non-profit Oceana, said doing so “will have a ripple effect that sacrifices the communities, jobs, and coastal economies that rely on healthy oceans. And the National Weather Service, part of Noaa, provides daily weather forecasts and lifesaving storm alerts that protect our communities across the country and mariners at sea.”
obviously there'll be an attempt to deny climate science... no doubt they'll be ordering all reports scrubbed of the terms 'global warming' and 'climate change', 'man-driven pollution' etc....

I think it may be a moot point... his doge minions will have extracted all that information already and secured it for president musk
Totally agree. Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.

A judge has also extended the deadline for accepting the deferred resignation offer. It was supposed to be midnight tonight. Now it’s Monday.

As of yesterday, there were about 40,000 employees who submitted their resignations. Since this was supposed to be the deadline, it’s possible there’s been a late surge. Public sector unions and their Democratic minions are trying to derail the offer.

There’s a hearing Monday to determine if the plaintiffs challenging the legality of the offer have a case that merits a trial.

Wait, what?!?!

That racist right wing pos WAS called out for something THEY said / did, and WAS held accountable?!?!

Marko Elez was told to delete his long-time Twitter profile before joining Operation Banana Republic (later changed to DOGE). This profile contained some gems such as "For the record, I was racist before racism was cool". He supported funding "eugenics programs" in Gaza, Israel and India.

Instead of deleting his profile, he renamed it (from "Marko_Elez" to "nulllptr"....which is a deliberate misspelling of a programming language constant). This meant his trove of racist shitposts were available on the Wayback Machine.

He knew he was toast.

Yeah, probably not really a good opportunity unless you’re an upstanding member of the Nazi Youth Brigade.

I am shocked, SHOCKED, that Nazi saluter and AfD Party supporter Musk surrounded himself with openly racist young men!!

farmers pissed at USAID freeze because it impacts them
American farmers are protesting after the decision to freeze funds designated for purchasing products intended for humanitarian aid. According to Reuters, this decision impacted soybean and corn producers, among others, who were set to supply goods valued at $150 million.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture had planned to purchase soybeans and corn from local farmers for humanitarian aid programs. These products were to be used in initiatives such as Food for Progress and Food for Peace.

This decision to halt purchases affected many farmers who had already signed contracts for deliveries. Virginia Houston from the American Soybean Association reported that about 66,000 tons of soybeans are currently stored in warehouses.

The decision to remove these contracted purchases from U.S. government expenditures has sparked a wave of protests among American farmers. Farmers fear that stopping aid programs will deprive them of an important market.
