The Desk

Sky knows...

-Finally the paper work was done, she sighed softly as she got up from her chair, fingers sliding to smooth over her knee length skirt, she was a beautiful girl, but she kept it in reserve, she looked up at the clock on the wall, and shrugged slightly¡¦

¡°Better part of a day that took¡± as she got up full, shuffling the papers correctly and placing it back within the file cabinet¡¦

A sheepish grin played upon her lips as she took the one case folder that seemed to contains the right information she had been seeking in her time here, placing it between her arm and body, she started to move and soon came to the break room, finally a place to rest, looking over to the soda machine, she shook her head¡¦

¡°Hmmm, what to get¡¦?¡± she questioned herself as she placed the case file upon the table, pulling the lollipop stick from her lips and tossing it, another few employees walked in the break room¡¦

Looking up slightly then back to the snack machine, she had decided, moving towards the buttons, her fingers slipping to put down 50 cents, she decided on the trail mix, the yummy mixture of raisins nuts and M¡¯s she had always loved¡¦

Bending over her hand reached in and took the mix from below, opening it quickly, she turned to notice a few staring eyes quickly going back to their preparation of food¡¦

Taking a seat next to the case file, she opened in and began to read from it, she couldn¡¯t believe no one had caught this; it had slid for all these years, an obvious case of insurance fraud, going thru unchecked, her lips curled more so in a sweet grin¡¦

¡°So the masses fall to provide for the rich¡¦¡± she continued to read¡¦

¡°They seep money from the stupid people that do the fraud and make deals with the ones that are smart about it¡¦ ¡° She continued to read¡¦

After a few moments had given, she gotten up from her chair, downing the rest of the mix and walked out¡¦

She had made copies and a lot of them, she grinned more so and walked down the hall, and one of the copes had a note in it, placing it on the inbox for Mr. Pitts, she grinned more so as she continued¡¦

The note read ¡®I know, and I have copies¡¯ it was impossible to know he dropped the folders¡¦

She was quick and discrete with it¡¦

Most of the folders delivered by the mail room, moving back to her little cube on the main floor she placed one of the last two in the under storage area, the other she put in the large case she was taking home¡¦

She knew what wanted and she strived to go after it, no matter how underhanded or sneaky it was¡¦

Turning on her computer, she started on her e-mails, tapping away at her keyboard, she sighed in discontent from all the spam¡¦-

Caitlyn

I was taken to an office on what seemed to be the same floor as Mr. Weaver's. Setting down, into one of the plush chairs I waited, crossing my legs this time as I waved off the offer of refreshment.

The office was empty though there was a discreet door in one corner... perhaps it led to a washroom, or simply a private exit. It didn't matter. I knew I had gotten their attention with my unscheduled arrival. My fingers tapping lightly on the handbag I had with me, I wondered who here was the one. I knew that someone was in league with my boss, helping us here and there, but had no idea who. I was informed that it was for my own good. I needed to act natural with everyone, and if I knew who it was I might drop my guard around them and blow everything. I wasn't sure whether this was reassuring or rather insulting. I knew my job and I did it well. I hadn't failed on any assignments yet, and though this one was more challenging then the rest, I had no intention of botching it.

I thought of my responses as I sat waiting.

Jackson Pitt

After finishing with Lili and taking the phone call about Ms. Thompson being there, Jackson wandered off to his lil side washroom. He splashed his face with water and then applied a light layer of fresh cologne, he always prided himself on his scent and apperance. He adjusted his suit and tie and headed back to his office, knowing that Caitlyn Thompson was waiting in his office. He didn't know exactly why she was there other then something about Weaver and money. Usually Weaver took care of the clients, he was much more of a smooth talker and it was therefore easier for him to bill the hours that he did. Pitt's strengths were in court and in the bedroom, in the thrill of the hunt of new women.

He walked out and gave Caitlyn a polite smile, shaking her hand before sinking into his own chair across the desk from her. He studied her features, definetly pleasent to look at and then got down to the real nitty gritty.

"Well Ms. Thompson, what can we help you with today? Have some sort of lawsuit against somebody with a fat wallet and crooked hearts? Or maybe you just came here because you heard that besides being good lawyers, Johnson Weaver & Pitt were good fucks."

He cracked his wicked grin at that point, he did always like that joke and then leaned back in his seat, letting her speak and plead whatever her case may be.

"Well Ms. Thompson, what can we help you with today? Have some sort of lawsuit against somebody with a fat wallet and crooked hearts? Or maybe you just came here because you heard that besides being good lawyers, Johnson Weaver & Pitt were good fucks."

I arched my eyebrow slightly his words and a small amused smile crossed my lips as I stared at him. The scent of his cologne surrounded me as I thought.. he really was quite attractive, and I'd heard about how things worked around here. In fact the boss had made sure I knew how things worked and made it quite clear that I was to do whatever I needed to do. I didn't think I was that desperate... yet.

I was also a bit surprised that he wasn't aware of the case. I supposed perhaps Weaver had always handled it, perhaps the others never involved themselves unless specifically needed. Tapping my finger against my bag again, I tilted my head slightly to regard him.

None of the above really. I normally deal with Mr. Weaver, but I haven't heard much from him lately and my company is beginning to wonder if we are dealing with the wrong firm.

I let my words sink in for a moment, the hint of a threat settling in the room. I doubted he wanted to lose the amount of money we were talking about. Clearing my throat I continued, shifting in my chair and crossing my legs again.

I'm here on behalf of Atrialle Imports. Perhaps you've heard of them? If not... to sum it up.. they are the largest importer of diamonds and precious jewels to this country.

Setting my bag on the floor, I stood and walked to his window to look out.

Just recently, one of their most prestigious stores burned to the ground. A huge shipment had just been brought in and was in the sorting room at the time. The gems had not yet been put into the safe. Only a handful were in any shape to be salvaged.

Turning to look at him, I smiled.

Atrialle is of course insured. Your firm was hired to be sure all was well with the claim. The insurance company, of course, before paying us the money we are owed, wish to be reassured, the claim being quite a substantial amount. I have cooperated with your firm, providing everything they have asked for, and my clients wish to know when you will be submitting your report to the insurance company.

Arching my eyebrow again I chuckled,

The owners are quite anxious to get the store rebuilt and go back to business as usual. I'm sure you understand. I had hoped to speak to Mr. Weaver to check on the status of things, and I'm hoping for a favorable report.

Sitting down again, I settled back in my chair, my hands folded in my lap as I awaited a response.

Gerald Weaver

"I've never eaten here before, what do you suggest?" He laughed inwardly.
"Would that be for your punishement or for food dear?" He was reading the menu but he eyes arched as the menu went down to see her reaction.

"For food I would suggest the Mesquite Chicken Salad if you are dieting or the Maple cooked Brisquette if you are arent. Both wonderful choices in my mind, but feel free to get whatever it is that you desire." His voice trailed off as her leg slowly went up his. He glanced at his watch. It had become a habit for him. The meeting with Pitt was several hours away. Hopefully, no clients came in for him to try to be suave with. He was a lawyer and a damn good one, but for the other side of business he had a few short comings.

Eva

"Well both choices sound good. I think I'll go with the brisquette." I said as I watched the waiter head over. I gave him my order and made small talk until the food came. The food was delicious and the brisquette had turned out to be a great choice. After we'd finished eating I caught Weaver checking his watch again.

"So you gave me a couple options with the food, what are the options for the punishment?"

"Good choice on the food. I think I will have the same I think"

"I've never eaten here before, what do you suggest?"

"Well we could go over to the side kitchen and I could spank you for your tardiness, I am sure you won't mind all the prep chefs watching you get spanked, or you can show up to my office every day for a week or so wearing a black lace teddybear with garters and stockings under your dress and do what I tell you to while you are up there. The choice is up to you unless you can think of something else that might appease my appetite." Gerald gave her a penetrating glare as his hand slowly caressed her thigh under the table.

Eva

The thought of being spanked in front of strangers made her squirm in discomfort but the thought of being ordered mader her squirm for a whole other reason.

"I think I could benefit from a weeks worth of punishment. If you'll excuse me though I need to go check my make-up before I head back to the office. I'm sure you have appointments this afternoon and I don't want to keep you."

I stood up and flashed him a sexy smile before walking away.

Pitt nodded slightly as she finished her story, going over all the facts in his head. He would make a few phone calls, figure out the status and hopefully have an answer. He also made a mental note to bring this up with Weaver at their afternoon meeting, get his take on everything. Until he had all the answers though, he couldn't really tell her anything really helpful other then they'd have an answer soon. He decided that since she had the inconvienience of coming here to see them about her case, he would treat her to lunch for her time. Of course the bill would make it back to the time her company was billed but that didn't matter as long as she didn't know.

" Ok Ms Thompson, I will make sure we have this wrapped up within the week. To make it up to you, shall I take you out to lunch somewhere? There is a ton of good resturants, a perk to being downtown, anything you'd like at your finger tips. Italian, Sushi, Thai, Indian? You name it, I'll take you to the finest one that I can find. "

He smiled that devilish smile, he couldn't help but admire her stunning figure and thought that it might be a productive lunch. If not, at bare ass minimum, it'd be nice to scoot from the office and grab some good grub. As he let her mull it over, he placed a few quick phone calls, one to Weaver to remind him about the meeting. Another went to Lili, informing her that he needed the files from her in about an hour along with whoever was doing the claim check. Finally, he placed a call to the department head where a Sky Winters and a Mike Philips worked. He knew about them, they were tagged for big things if they kept the work up. They would be his junior associates on this case, they would do most of the leg work on checking it out and he made sure that they would be informed of how important this was. As he clicked his phone off, he turned back to the lady before him and smiled.

"Well, name your poison darlin, I'm hungry!"

Caitlyn

I watched him as he spoke, admiring the way he handled himself. I had known when the receptionist had said that Weaver was out that I wouldn't get a real answer. But now they knew we were waiting at least, and perhaps Mr. Pitt could get things moving in the right direction at least. We had covered all possibly contingincies, and I had answers for almost anything should a question arise. The boss had been doing this for a long time, and he wasn't about to get caught now... although this was a bigger scam then he'd done in quite some time.

Mr. Pitt mentioned lunch, throwing a few ideas on the table before he turned to make some calls. I smiled again as his eyes slid over me before he turned, and I could imagine the lunch he wanted. Appraising him from behind as he talked on the phone, I decided that at some point, this case might turn out to be fun after all... though I wasn't ready to raise it to that level yet. I would keep that for leverage should I need it.

Smiling brightly as he turned around and said,

"Well, name your poison darlin, I'm hungry!"

Standing and grabbing my bag, I replied,

Thai sounds lovely. I've not had good Thai food in ages.

I was supposed to call in as soon as I left, but that would have to wait.

Roger

Roger walked back into the office and followed the hall down to Lili's small office. He dropped several folders on her desk and chuckled. "Small time cases. All handled. Got anything new for me?"
He walked around her desk to stand behind her. He placed a hand on her shoulder as he looked at her screen. Her scent was intoxicating and he could feel his excitement starting to arise.
"No. Nothing but more small cases, everyone else is working on the big one." Her musical reply was quick and laced with a secret anger. Lili turned her chair to face me. I didn't have time to react. I knew she had seen the bulge in my jeans, but like a professional she kept her composure. "You know I didn't start here to work a desk."
I grinned. "How about helping on my next case?"
