The Djinn

Leelund

"Give her back the phone" Leelund send to the Djinn. And watching, through the crystal, how this being picked up the phone and placed it in the hands of Dianna once more.

The woman was clearly scared of what she saw, and it was perfectly ubderstandable that she didn't know left from right, let alone what to do. She had been elevated from the sights of ordinary humans, to the view of the chosen.

Leelund kept his voice calm and reasuring as he spoke to her once again.

"Ms Dianna, listen carefully to what I say. It cannot hurt you, as long as my associate is there with you. It cannot. So you're safe right now. If you look around you, everything is covered by this presence, but it will not go near you or Eliuric. You ARE safe!!"

Leelund switched the receiver from one are to the other.

"However I must strongly advise you to get out. Let Eliuric guide you, he has been given the assignment to protect you at all costs. Please Ms. Dianna, let Eliuric take you to my place. I'm not far away. We can protect you, we can teach you.
Please, I will tell you everything about all of this when you get here."

While awaiting Dianna's reply, Leelund sends yet another message to Eliuric.

"Take care of her, no matter what, you do NOT leave her side. And bring her to the Mansion. Both you and I know that's the only safe place close by. Bring here here."

Dianna

Eliuric held the phone to my ear, and the sound of Mr. Leelunds voice was somewhat comforting. "Ms Dianna, listen carefully to what I say. It cannot hurt you, as long as my associate is there with you. It cannot. So you're safe right now. If you look around you, everything is covered by this presence, but it will not go near you or Eliuric. You ARE safe!!" His voice remained calm and reassuring.

I felt the warmth of tears spill onto my cheeks, and a tightness that could only be described as primal fear in my chest. I was so close to sobbing, all I wanted to do was run as far and fast as I possibly could. But, I was frozen in place. Mr. Leelund continued to speak.

I could only manage to nod, my voice was no where to be found. As Eliuric pulled the phone away from my ear, I looked pleadingly into his eyes. In my mind I was screaming HELP ME, but physically, fear had me silenced.

Eliuric:

Setting the phone back into his place Eliuric helped Dianna to her feet. "Up you go little lady." He said with a smile, hoping to get her to look at him. If she could focus on him things would go much much smoother. The floor withing a ten foot radius of Eliuric was bare of the ink like shadows. And as he moved it retreated from him. He held Dianna by the wrist now.

Dianna

Eliuric pulled me to my feet and grasped my wrist. Even though his face showed a smile his eyes reflected worry. He started toward the door pulling me along behind. I resisted at first, but then realized I certainly didn't want to be left alone. I scurried until my front was pressed against his back and my steps immediately behind his own. When he pulled the door to the outside world open, I again froze. No one had warned me of how different the world would look through my new eyes.

Leelund

Watching them get up and head for the door Leelund sighed a sigh of relief...Finally they are on their way.

But looking at the stunned and surprised face of Dianna as hey got outside, Leelund cursed himself.
How could he have forotten to prepare her for the way the REAL world looked. That was unforgivable!!!

He went back when he himself had been elevated to one of the chosen. And he vividly remembered the shock the new sight had given him.

His first view of theenergies flowing from everything, the sight of the astral beings looking over humankind. The fact that ghosts do exsist, and that there is much much more between heaven and earth than humankind will ever know.

Also the sight of the black shadowy evil, that so profoundly lurks in Diannas house. The very evil which caused her to e elvated untimely.
It would have happend at oe point, by one of the chosen, not neccersarily Leelund.

As he looked at Diannas stunned face, through the crystal, he knew exactly how she felt. Both scared and drawn to the beauty of the world. With all the energy colors flowing through the air.
Leelund could see there was a few astral beings nearby, But Dianna didn't seem to notice them. She was more occupied by the energy flowing silently around her.

Leelund ripped himself from the sight and looked down at himself. wearing an immaculate black Armani suit. His long jet black hair in a tight ponytail. he didn't think he would appear intimidating like this.
He let his eyes and mind scan the manor. Nothing here except a few astrals floating in hiding. And they proved no harm to anybody.
Astrals where usually watchers of life, and thus invisible to the normal human eye. These were Leelunds watchers and they were always nearby, where ever he went.
Dianna would soon face hers as well. But it was still too soon. Not even Leelund, was able to spot Dianna's Astrals. They were apparently still hiding from her and watching her from a place not even a chosen can see. Which, at this point was just fine. leelund didn't think Dianna would be ready to face yet another wonder of the real world.

Eliuric seemed, as always completely unaffected by the whole situation. Then again, he was an elevated astral, and had been in this game long before the first of Leelunds family tree appeared on earth some 500 yrs ago. So it was quite understandable that he was untouched by it all.

Leelund walked through the big hall and prepared for the arrival of Dianna and Eliuric.

It was time to get to work.

Eliuric:

Turning back to see that Dianna was just standing there, in the door frame, very nearly in shock, Eliuric started to frown but then realised what had her so frozen. "It is quite the sight is it not Dianna?" He asked, even though seeing it on a daily basis had dulled the beauty of it for him a fair amount. Looking about the street that Dianna lived on, Eliuric looked for anything that he might point out to her fascination. Most of the astral beings never paid anyone but the ones they were to watch any mind. But Eliuric always seemed to draw their attention. A three inch radius blob of unearthly light floated over to them. It hovered in the air about seven feet from Eliuric. He knew that it would have come closer, even let him touch it if Dianna was not about. Maybe... Mabye he could still bring it closer... Looking in the direction that the shimmering blob had come from Eliuric knew what it was instantly. "Its a Feu Feuille, he announced to Dianna." He realised that that most likely ment nothing to her. "A Fire Leaf..." He peeked back at her and still saw that she didn't comprehend, and was showing a bit of fear. Pointing to the large oak that took root in front of Dianna's home Eliuric said. "Its the spirit of your oak tree..." Eliuric reached a hand out to the glowing orb. It floated back just an inch, but as Eliuric left his hand open and extended to the Feu Feuille, it started to inch closer, as though it were a timmid, but curious. Before too long it started to suround Eliuric's hand with itself. He smiled, giving the spirit several minutes to explore as it would, gaining its trust. Finally Eliuric spoke to the light, that seemed to have done nothing more than ball up like a lasy cat in the palm of his hand. "It seems you trust me little spirit... Would you be so kind as to meet another?" The light grew for a second, as though it were taking in a breath, then it shunk, like it was sighing. Then a tiny spark of it broke free and zipped up in front of Dianna's nose. It blinked as though it were trying to comunicate. "Its saying hi, I should thing, Dianna." Eliuric said, he was begining to smile as he watched Dianna's reaction.

Dianna

Dianna was in awe. There were so many oddities, some of them a bit frightening, but most of them inspiringly beautiful. She watched spellbound as the small ball of light approached them. She might have felt the urge to flee had her curiosity not been so strong. Eliuric's interaction with the orb was fascinating. As she watched the light gain trust in him, she felt herself trusting him more, as well. Afterall, if this thing could trust him so easily, why shouldn't she?

He coaxed the being into coming closer to Dianna. She was apprehensive at first, but soon found it's beauty hypnotizing. Moving slowly, she reached out, offering the palm of her hand for it's inspection. Eventually, it settled into her hand making her feel as if an electric current were shooting from her hand through her arm. Not an unpleasant feeling, it actually kind of tickled. Dianna smiled warmly, feeling comforted for the first time that day. She glanced at Eliuric, and saw the same warm smile reflected on his face. She suddenly felt closer to this Djinn, and as the light leisurely floated away from them, she slipped her hand into his and felt him squeeze hers reassuringly.

Leelund

Seeing how well Eliuric handled the situation, Leelund let out a sigh of relief. They were going to be all right.
Leelund watched Dianna closely for signs of blocking. It had been known to happen to people elevated without prober preperation. However she seemed to take it all extrodinary well.
Of course, she was still quite startled from it all, that was only natural. But Eliurics show with the Astrals seemed to calm her well.

Leelund went into his work study and sat down behind his big oak desk. His eyes never leaving the crystal.

All he could do now was watch and wait until they arrived.

Eliuric:

Setting the Feu Feuille off, back to its home tree Eliuric turned to Dianna. "Do you have an... automobile?" He asked, seeming to stumble for the word. "It will take a good three hours to get to Leelunds home." It was against the rules for him to flat out offer anything other than mundane suggestions, though he could have them to Leelunds within the beat of a heart, IF she knew to ask...

Dianna

"Yes, I do...but, I thought, well.. I thought maybe you could get us there with a wiggle of your nose, or a blink of your eye?" Dianna chuckled. She was really only teasing, but when she saw the look on the Djinn's face, she soon realized she was in for yet another surprise.

Eliuric:

Suddenly, as though they had been standing there the entire time Dianna and Eliuric stood in the main hall of Leelund's mansion estate. Eliuric smiled to Dianna. "I am glad you catch on so quickly, it would have been a rather dull drive..."

Dianna

Dianna looked around them stunned. "I can't believe this! How? I mean, I didn't even feel the change." Without even waiting for the Djinn's response her mind switched gears. This is where Mr. Leelund lives! It was a beautiful place, obviously the home of a very wealthy man. Dianna was feeling nervous, butterflies were going crazy in her stomach tickling her everywhere. She wasn't sure why she felt so anxious about meeting this man, but she couldn't deny the feeling all the same.

Leelund

Having watched the two teleport from Diannas place into his own, Leelund silently smiled for himself.

It was time to do the introductions. It was time for the training and mission to start.

Leelund looked down on himself, checking that the dark Armani suit was well in place, and then headed for the Hall.

Eliuric was the first he saw, floating in his own special way, facing their guest.

Leelund fully enters the Hall, and smilingly extend his hands to Dianna. Who at this point has a rather amuzing confused look on her face.

"Ms Dianna, Welcome to my home."

Taking Diannas hand in a firm handshake, Leelund continues.

"PLease come inside, we have a lot to talk about."

Leelund leads Dianna into the big libary, with the roaring fireplace at the end of the room. he motions her to sit in the big leather arrangement in front of the fireplace.

"I'll answer any and all questions you have Ms Dianna."

Eliuric:

"Leelund... It doesn't seen that the unveiling of her sight has brought her power to the surface... You don't intend to send her out on a mission without it being awakened do you?" Eliuric knew that such open talk to anyone other than Leelund would have him locked back into his prison in the blink of an eye. Leelund was diferent. Perhaps because his... "talent" had become unlocked with the first unveiling...

Leelund

Shooting Eliuric a some what, annoyed look, for interfering. Just as Dianna was about to speak.

Leelund sends a mental message to Eliuric.

"No of course I wont send her out there without her power is well under her control. And I have yet to discover which element her power is based on. And I wont if you keep interefering. We have lots to do and plenty of work and training for Dianna. Now quit it and let her talk!!"

During all of this Leelund is very careful not to let his eyes wander away from Dianna,

Eliuric:

Nodding to Leelund in a show of respect Eliuric fazes out and a moment later Leelund knows that he has returned to his carafe and that it sets securely in its display in his museum. Waiting until he is needed again.

Dianna

"Ms Dianna, Welcome to my home." Mr. Leelunds voice boomed and echoed in the vast hallway/entrance. His hand was extended and Dianna placed her smaller one in his, immediately feeling an admiration for him. She hadn't had the opportunity to contemplate what the man behind the mystery gift would look like, He was quite handsome.

Mr. Leelund lead Eliuric and herself into a large library, where they all took a seat. "I'll answer any and all questions you have Ms Dianna." Mr. Leelund stated, and forthwith shot the Djinn a grave look. The next few moments, Dianna became keenly aware that the two of them were having a conversation that didn't include her. Although Mr. Leelunds eyes never left Diannas face after his initial look at the Djinn, she knew his attentions were on Eliuric. Within seconds Eliuric had vanished leaving her alone in the room with the mysterious man.

"What was that all about?" she asked in an irritated tone. "Why did Eliuric leave? I wanted him with me, I trust him." she was beginning to panic again. "Please, Mr. Leelund, I need to know what's happening here, I think I'm losing my mind."

Mr. Leelund folded his hands under his chin and studied Dianna thoughtfully as she ranted.

Leelund

Sensing Dianna's growing panic, Leelund quickly send a message to Eliuric. Wanting him to appear again, and stay by Dianna's side.

"Ms Dianna. PLease I will tell you everything. But please try to relax, you are safe here. And I have no intention of bringing you harm".

Leelund shifted in his seat and looked at Dianna with genuine concern in his eyes.

"I am profoundly sorry that you've had to go through this. And I'm even more sorry to say that it's not finished yet. First of all, I want to let you know everything about me."

Leelund watched Dianna closely for reactions and signs of panic. But she seemed to have pulled herself together and was now listening concentrated to him.

"My full name is Tyler Leelund, and I'm part of a network dealing with, and fighting if needed. What is generally looked upon as mystical.
Normally we do not disclose ourself to the public, or the people we are assigned to look after, mainly because we do not wish to drive fear an panic into people. And usually we are able to solve any problem without the general public knowning about it.
Almost all agents, like myself, has been elevated. Like yourself Ms. Dianna. Which basically means we see things differently than normal people do. You have seen that with your own eyes. However this is only the beginning. We do all, in some form or another, posses a power based on one of the 4 elements of the planet. Fire, water, wind and earth.
All elevated do. And so do you Ms. Dianna. However your power has not surfaced yet, but it will quite naturally shortly."

Seeing the confused look on Diannas face, Leelund moved forward and took her small hands in his own.

"I had hoped that I didn't have to do what I have to you. Your new sight and your power would eventually have surfaced naturally, and I had hoped only then to make contact with you. It would have been easier to us both. However time was something I didn't have, because of that pulsating black evil, that just now has infected your house, and which you have seen with your own eyes. It just became too dangerous for you to be there now that you were about to elevate yourself. Evil will always try to grasp the choosen. Just before they become all they can be. Which is why I've done what I did."

Seeing Eliuric appear next to Dianna again, Leelund nooded towards him.

"Eliuric and I, have been assigned to protect you and teach you how to use your new powers. Eliuric will always be close by. And all you need to do is call his name, either out loud, or with your mind".

Dianna had a very confused look on her face, obviously not understanding the mind thing.
Leelund smiled and continued.

"Let me demonstrate. This is something all Elevated can do. This may feel a little weird".

Leelund closed his mouth and used solely telepathy talking to Dianna.

"Yes this is also what happend earlier when Eliuric and I spoke. We spoke like this......"

Leelund saw the surprised look on her face as his mind gently spoke to hers.

"Dont be alarmed, we are only able to speak like this. And that's the limit of the telepathy. We can not read minds."

Once again speaking with his voice, Leelund continued.

"I Realize this is very much to comprehend at one time. But I will be forth coming with you and not keep anything from you.
Now, please Ms. Dianna, you must have a million questions. Go ahead and ask. I will answer all I can".

Smiling warmly at her, urging her to ask.

Leelund pulled out a cigarret from his jacket and placed it in the corner of his mouth. Without even thinking about it he commanded the fire in the fireplace. And a long thin flame flowed to him from the fireplace to him and he lighted his cigarret.
Looking up, Leelund realized what he had done, seeing Dianna looking at the thin flame reaching from the fireplace to the palm of Leelunds hand, in disbelief. Next to her Eliuric reached up and planted his hands in front of his eyes, shaking his head, as if to say idiot.
Leelund looked back at Dianna, and the only thing he could say was.

"Ops!!"

Eliuric:

Shaking his head as he watched Leelund blatently use his power Eliuric stepped behind Dianna. She went perfectly still. Its not every day you see fire snake through the air and light a cigarette... But she had already seen so many other things today that she wasn't as shocked as one would expect. It was like some wild dream to her now. With a bemused look on his face Eliuric spoke. "Perhaps a drink to calm her nerves a little Master?"
