Damn, you peeps know Ah'm a Texan and you been talking 'bout my relatives. They all wear cowboy boots (even got a Sunday pair for church) and ten-gallon hats (half filled with kerchiefs and bills of sale for cattle, the other half with head), drive pick-ups (Texas Cadillacs) with gun racks and at least two deer (dear?) rifles. Yeah, they speak softly and carry big sticks!

*Scotch* ... in a glass or in pleated skirts, preferrably female!

So are they ... most of the time. I only get worried when they start swingin' those ropes around. I'm worried one of those big loops might become a noose one of these days.

Okay ... I'm officially clueless today ... wtf? GBS's ghoti=fishes????

Blank page

(When he wanted to mock the English language, George Bernard Shaw pointed out that "ghoti" spells "fish." The gh (from enough), the o (from women), and the ti (from fiction) phonetically equal "fish."

habaneros a.k.a. jalapenos with an overachievement complex

(You can get a tilde and most other diacriticals by clicking Insert on your tool bar, choosing Symbols from the pop-down menu, and then choosing the mark you want. You can also do it with keyboard commands left over from DOs days: usually some combination of alt, shift, or both.)

Fire-breathing

I know about the DOS options but can't find a list; must be blind because can't see an Insert on any tool bar associated with this application...oh, well, must not be important.

Puff the Magic Dragon

On many MS Word toolbars, Insert is fourth from the left--right between View and Format. Then again, it may not have been selected when you et up your tool bar. It's available if you want it on every flavor of Word for Windows.
