The Economy

And don’t tell the MAGAts that the largest contributor to jobs gains in May was GOVERNMENT HIRING (the next largest contributor was healthcare - followed by service industry hires). And it should probably be mentioned that the MANUFACTURING sector LOST JOBS in May.

So much #winning…

We. Told. Them. So.

They did have a crew work on that lake in DC. So much winning!

Trump producing that picture of the reflecting pool and comparing its LENGTH to the HEIGHT of the tallest buildings in America was a clear sign of dementia / a mental defect. I mean, who the fuck does that???

M/R refuses to admit that the first 2 years of the Biden admin job gains were not created by Biden, it was people returning to work after covid.
In Trump’s first term, full-time jobs peaked at 131,675,000 in December 2019. When Biden left office in January 2025, full-time employment was 135,898,000. That why I correctly stated that during the Biden administration 4.2 million full-time jobs were created above the pre-pandemic peak.

Biden also expanded government jobs exponentially which adds to employment numbers but doesn't add to economic growth. Government salaries come out of the taxpayers pocket.
When Biden took office in January 2021, there were 2,884,000 federal government employees. When Biden left office in January 2025, there were 3,010,000 federal government employees. That’s an increase of 126,000.

126,000 government jobs is just 3% of the 4,223,000 full-time jobs created during the Biden administration.

icanhelp1, your lesson for today is to know what you’re talking about before you begin to type. 😆

I also wonder how much is defense contractors hiring because of the huge amount of contracts they have to replace all the gear we have pissed away fighting in Iran. Ya know, using a 7m dollar missile to knock down a 35k drone. I'll also add that of those 172k new jobs many of them were in low wage service sector jobs, like health aids and the like, according to the same report wage growth was nil, that any gains were offset by so many of the new jobs being low paying. And tech companies have only just started laying people off, 10's of thousands of jobs are going to be the norm going down the road. Among other thing, AI coding systems have gotten so good that you no longer have to have human programmers clean it up, they are generating clean code now 98% of the time, so you need like 1 person to do what a team of 10 used to do. All these tech people who thought they had it made are starting to realize they are no longer needed by the gods of the FANG tier of companies.

They talked about the perception of a bad economy and rising crime rates when Harris ran against Trump. "but my eggs"
