the entrance!

Mab watched Garret walk into he camp. what was he doing! Then it hither. Get in good with the guys find out thier plans and then strike. mab just hopped they lasted long enought for her to beat the crap out of Garret for not telling her. AND o ell him thi as onl rt of the army she saw.
"Well, well, well, what have we ere? A taste littlemorsel perchance."
Mab turned. The ugliest soilder she had ever seen stood behind er. One look told her that he was horney. Hmmm, I can use that, she thought.
"Oh, brave sir," she cried,"I am lost. My brother was looking for someone to fight with and I followed him. My horse threw me and now I fear i am quite lost. I fear if i don't find my brother he will be hurt." mab forced herself to burst into tears. The soilder nelt down to comfort her. She ulled her dagger out and stabbed him he was on patol. Quickly she stripped him naked ad put on his uniform. She went to lounge on tree, just outside camp. She could see Garret talking to a man.
"Hey, Angus. Everything alright ver there."
Mave waved to the man who had called out. She sat and watched for a signal from Garret.

"So, what makes you think you are good enough?"
Garret was in, they were talking with him, no one seemed nervous. This was good, Garret had a great time with this, he wondered how it was going to work out.
Garret looked around, there were only 5 out talking to him, probably 4 more on patrol nearby. There should be a few more in the tent, yep that made 15, his original count.
Garret looked back the leader, quick as lightening he grabbed a knife, throwing it right into the man's stomache.
Garret whistled, he hoped she had heard it, that would be as good of a signal as any. Garret unsheathed his sword, flinging it into the first man.
He used the momentum to kick another man in the head, sending him sprawling, blood exploding from his face.
Garret swung around, remoiving his sword, the other two had run into the tent.
Garret cursed himself, he could handle them all seperate, but when they were together it was a bit harder.
He looked over, he didn't see Mab, where was she. Garret hoped she was ok, he shouldn't have left her should have...
"What are you looking at," Garret turned around.

Mab heard Garret whistle and lept to action. Pulling out her sword she plunged it into the nearest sentrey. Moving into the camp she begain to fight. She could he her brothers words"swing wth a rythom. Up, down, one two" Mab sliced her way to Garret. she knew she had to stay outside his sword reach untill he knew she was there. she whistled as she came close. Letting ou a second harped whistle she thrust her sword into a soilders belly. She could hear Thor coming. Something stung her upper arm and she swung her sword around, lopping of a mans head. Hope it wasn't Grret, she thought. She saw she was getting closer to hm. Thor burst into the camp plowing over two men and cavng two more mens heads in with his hooves.
"Good bo, hor. Garret?"

Garret looked over at Mab, glad she was ok.
"Good work, now, there are 7 in the tent. You are going to hit three with these..."
Garret handed her 4 arrows, and a bow,
"We only get one chance, please don't blow it. Now that is going to make two for me and two for you I think we can handle that. You got it?"
Mab looked at him, and nodded.
"Good job, we will make a man out of you yet," Garret slowly walked up to the opening.
He wiped the broadsword clean of blood, watching as Mab loaded the arrow.
Garret hated going into tents, he had gotten a nasty scar from doing this before.
Garret flung open the tent door.

Mab pulled the bow string back and waited. As soon asGarret wen in man moved into the tent opening. Mab released the arrow and reloaded. She knew her aim was true. She had been hintig for years with a bow. SHE REleased her second arrow. It flew true as well. Her third hit it's mark as well. Mab let out a whistle as she put he last arrow and bow on Thor's saddle. Drawing her sword she made her way in. As soon as she walked in she was attached. Mab fought with the man. It took her a little longer then she planned to kill him. Hr scond opponet stepped up.
Oh, dear, she thought. He was a mountain of a man. Mab knew she was going to be in trouble. But she had faith in Garret. she knew when he was done with his opponents he would comehelp her. The man slced her arm where the dagger had cut earlier. Luckly it wasn't her sword arm. Mab knew she could take the pain and shove it into the back of her mind.
she begain to attack the man.

Lokken heard the comotion and rode into camp with a few gaurds, while the man was in the tent, he motioned to a demon and it quickly cloaked itself(making it invisible) and ran up behind Mab and put a sword to her throat, drawing a thin line of blood, but not killing her." Come out, scum, I have this bitch who will soon not be able to blow anyone unless you get out now and surrender!" Lokken commanded.

Garret sliced into the last soldiers, making a squishy sound. He smiled as blood fell onto his face.
Garret turned around, looking at his victory, but all he could see was Mab being held by knife point, by...
"Lokken, it is you. Gosh, all mighty powerful being, almost ruling the universe and you have to hide behind a woman? Just for little old me?"
Garret laughed out loud, hoping he was getting on Lokken's nerves.
Garret wiped his sword clean, standing in a battle stance he smirked, "Lokken, if you wanted a fight so badly? All you had to do was ask."
Garret hoped that he could stall Lokken in time for the army outside to advance. They were being as quiet as they could, and he knew Lokken was good, but not that good.
"Come on, wanna play?" Garret swung his sword low, making sure the sun glinted off it. He hoped Lokken took the bait.

"No thank you, although we could continue this later, good night", a blade demon knocked Garret out while Lokken simply swung Mab onto his horse and rode back to his camp. When he got there, he said to a general," Now, adveance the armies so they encircle the city, this is a full siege!". Then Lokken walked into a full throne room where Mab sat before him with the still unconcious Garret at her side.

Not so far away;

Ether stepped out from behind a tall rock. With the coast clear, he was able to make some more progress through enemy lines. He had witnessed a large army amassing over a large area in the last few days. Large, but scattered enough for him to sneek through unhindered.
The story of the emporor's death must be true. Why else would an army be gathering like this?

Ether was jolted out of his trail of thought as he noticed some comotion in the distance. Finding a secluded vantage point, he took out a spyglass to see what was going on. What he saw troubled him. It appeared that a male and a femail were engaging a small group of solders. But why would they risk fighting even a small outward portion of the army? mutiny? no, they were obviously not apart of the army. Adventurers? Maby, they fight differently and much better then the patrol they were battling.
Soon something more confusing happened. As the last man fell, to the male's sword, the female suddenly jerked and froze in a rigid position, like she was beingv held at knifepoint, but noone was there except her companion, and he was obviously not holding her.
With resolve, Ether unsheathed a light-blue saber and snuck closer for a better view.

as he got closer, ether saw someone else...materialize befor his eyes. Even from a distance, he appeard powerfull. A blade demon also appeared and knocked out the male. The two were carried off before Ether could even come within earshot of the area.

Ether picked up his pace, wanting to keep an eye on the two, as they might just need his assistance in the near future.

Mab stared at Lokken. She wondered why everyone feared him. He loked like cow. She gentle nudges Garret. She knew Thor would follow te group that had taen her.
"Garret? Wake up."
" He will awake soon enough." Lokken said.
"Your lokken, right? I'm not afraid of you. You look like a cow we had at home."
"WHAT!" Lokeen roared.
"He thought he was tought stuff...tell we butchered him." Mab knew she was playing with fire, but she had to show she wasn't afraid.
A demond came in the throne room. Mab looked at hm and relized he was the one that cut her. She kicked him in the face."That's for cutting me, asshole."
Lokken laughed.
Mab saw Garret start to move and went to his side."Hey there. Bet your head fells like a calvery s charging in it."

"Garret... Lokken..." Ether repeated this in his head, trying to learn what he can about the camp so he doesn't charge in blindly. His vantage point, a tall, thick pine tree, wasn't the closest place to spy from, but his blue skin and armor make him stand out like a green thumb (pardon the expression). This pine was sufficant though, as it allowed visual of the prisoners and most of the camp.

"If I'm going to do this", thought Ether, "I goto be carefull. I've never performed a rescue like this befor". While watching and listening to the comotion between the girl and Lokken, he looked around for something useful. There were about 50 solders walking around at any given time, and no knowledge of how many were in tents or out of visual range. He couldn't tell the pattern of the guards, so joining ranks or sneeking through are out of the question. He wasn't very skilled with his swords, and though he might be able to survive his way to the adventurers and let them lead the way out, he was afraid of the demon and Lokken himself. A distraction? no, the camp's too large to notice a small stone, and I have no companions or explosives to draw their attention.

Suddenly, an Idea struck him. He never tried it before, but what's the fun in adventuring if you don't try new things? Ether climbed out of the tree and snuck to a safer distance, to wait for nightfall to come...

"Okay, Garret, you wanted to fight, well let's fight. No weapons, just me and you, real up close and personal", Lokken told him. He then walked over and grabbed him by the throat and smashed him in the wall forming a dent. Garret kicked at his groin, but he barely felt it. But as punishment he threw him on the ground and stepped on his throat and started pressing." Do you yeild?" he asked Garret lightening the pressure of his foot.

He was hurt, choking, and pain riveted his whole body, it was perfect.
Garret smiled, real big, making sure Lokken could see it.
Like a snake, he grabbed his foot, shifitng his position. Lokken rolled over, following his foot to the floor.
Garret quickly got on top of him, putting a hold on his neck. He could feel Lokken's breath getting weaker and weaker.
"Well, the tables have turned."
Lokken tried to move, but was unable, then Garret saw stars. He let go, realizing Lokken had hit him, hard.
Garret shook his head, trying to get the screw loose.
There they were, out of breathe, heat racing, looking at each other like playground bullies.
"Wait," Garret said, trying to take charge of the situation, "I really doubt you brought us all the way here for a simple fight. Now, end this, and tell us what on earth is going on."
Garret's eyes wnadered over at Mab, hoping she was unharmed.
Lokken looked at them both, as if looking for something.
Garret waited...

" I brought you here because I have a shortage on soldiers who can actually fight", Lokken said. A demon entered, but in less than a second, it's head was on the floor." Example, this one didn't even duck, and that was one of my slow swipes", Lokken continued," now I can either kill both of you, or you two can join me. And don't think about escape, a flea couldn't get in here if it was riding on a demons shoulder under his armor unless I let it", he said finishing and putting the sword back in it's scabbard.

Mab walked over to Garret. along the way she kicked the demonds head."Probems finding quality help?" she slide her hand in Garret's and gave it a squeaze. Mab knew what ever he decided she would do. ever if it ment dying.
"So our choices are join you or die? There's no midle ground with you is there? " Mab felt two sets of eyes on her. Oe was watching and ne was lerring."Oh, Lokken, tell demond boy back there to stop staring at my rear or I'm gonna have to kill him. Then you'll be down another soilder."

"What demon, wait a second", he walked over to where Ether was and sidekicked him in the side of the face sending him flying into a wall." Well, well, what have we here", he said picking him up by the throat." You are an annoying little fly, and do you know what I do to flies?", he asked throwing him into a wall." Oh, actually there is middle ground, you two can just become slaves", he said directing this to Mab and Garret, and at the same time punching Ether in the groin.

"Stop," Garret shouted. He didn't want another human's life to be killed, although somehow Garret knew he wasn't entirely human.
"He is with us, a friend of mine, who followed me to make sure I was ok, " he hoped the lie would work. He had never met this guy, but he didn't want him dead.
Lokken looked at him, and shrugged his shoulders dropping the man.
Garret sighed, this was very interesting. There they were, the three of them, on a death threat from a leader of a ruthless army.
"Ok, Lokken. We will all join your army, but we need to know everything. Why you are attacking cities, what are the armies for, you past, what you plan for the future."
Garret eyed him carefully. He was going to be part of some ruthless gang of thieves killing innocent people, but if this guy was really on the up and up, he might get a better job, with a good partner.
Garret squeezed Mab's hand once, tellin her he was still there. He waited patiently for Lokken's story.

Mab squeezed Garret's hand back. She looked at the man next to them and smiled. "Lokken , he wasn't the one I was talking about." Mab walked over to Lokken and drew one of his dirks. She turned and threw it at on of the demonds standing off to the side. It flew into his throat."He was the one I was talking about."
Lokeen lokked her up and down. Mab could fell his eyes on her. Mab moved to join Garret. Suddenly she spun around and grabbed Lokken's sword. She pointed the end at him."I'm not a piece of meat, Lokken. I don't belong to you and I never will. so keep your eyes in your head. Or I'll have to hurt you." She threw his sword down and went back to Garret. SHE walked behind him and slide her arm around his chest, laying her head on his shoulder. She mouthed to the man'are you okay?' He nodded. She squeezed Garrets chest to let him know.

"Ugh.. Not what I had planned.." Ether groaned in pain. The blow to the face and groin was unexpected, though if it wasn't it would not have hurt any less. Struggling to his feet, he mentioned something about wearing a cup. "Well" he eventually said, "Now what? you don't need me, and I doubt you can take over a hundred solders by yourself"

Mab slide over to eth. "You can help us." she said."You followed us here. oh, by the way was a big black horse outside?"
He simplystared at her. Mab saw Lokkens soilders staring at her. She knew what they would do if theygo ahold of her. she turned Garret around. Cupping his face she said,"do't worry. everything will be okay." and kissed him.. he stepped away and walked over to the nearest soilder. Lokken watched with amusment. He seemed to know whatshe was going to do.
Mab tapped a soilder on the shoulder. As he turned around she punched him in the face. His friend begain to attack her. She begain beating them. In te prosess she was being beaten.
"ENOUGHT!!!"Lokken roared.
Mab sank to the florr beside Garret.
"Your smart girl. Attach the enemy and show them your a foe to eal with. Then the will leave you alone."
Mab shrugged,"A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do."

Ether sank down beside Mab and Garret. He was sweating from the heat, even though it was cool by human standards. Despite all this, both Mab and Garret started shivering, being in such close proximity to Ether. "WHat are you?" Mab asked quietly.
"Silence!" lokken yelled befor Ether could respond. "You have been given a choice. Join us or die by MY hand, slowly and painfully"
Ether smiled and mentioned something about the Ogre's choice, then relaxed, letting Mab and garret decide for him.

"Garret, you wanted to know what my plans were, so I'll tell you. I have the upper hand because demons fight better than most humans, and I have more of them. Mt god, Belial, has commanded a takeover of the North because of it's resources. When I control that, I will have an almost pure monopoly on trade. Then when the God's war begins, Belial introduces me as a new God, the God of Magic. All of those who are held closest to me in my inner circle will be spared and become Gods with me. And I wouldn't dare touch you, M'Lady, you are a warrior, not a whore", he told them, picking up his weapons.

"All this is for resouces?" Garret asked, amazed. He didn't know the north had much to offer, it was mostly mountains, and plains, besides some farming, he thought it was totally useless.
"Not land, money, and power." Lokken said.
Garret had to think, was this how we wanted his life to be, serving in some part of a god's war. Those wars were serious, many men have died for no reason because of gods bickering.
He looked at Mab, right into her eyes, they were very beautiful eyes. He held her hand, knowing they would share the decision, whatever he decided. He wanted to protect her, for both of their sakes.
"All right," he said looking back at Lokken, "If you give me your word, that we will not harm innocent lives, then I will go with your plans, but the moment blood is shed needlessly I am out. Those are my conditions," Garret looked at Lokken, waiting for his answer.

OOC. The ogre's choice is; "Die fast, or Die slow. As long as you die, it's all the same to me"

IC.
Ether laughed. "Ha, if he's a god, forcing us to help out, how would you simply leave. And why would he let you for that matter? I remember a story of a powerfull renegade wizard who sought to become a god at his goddesses expence, and had no thought of even sparing his trusted aids and allies. Why should this be any different?"
