OOC-Just for you DR_O...There is no point in me outlining the 'storyline' when you know mostly what I want
IC-
I walked into the surgery and the horrible medical smell hit me, and I had to stop myself from gagging.
It always made me feel sick walking into a Doctors surgery, the smell always made me heave.
I avoided going to visit the Doctor as much as I could, but today was a necessity.
My annual check up with my Ob-Gyn. Sometimes it totally sucked being a women.
I wasn't to bothered, apart from the smell, My Gynaecological Doctor was lovely, she always put me at ease, and she knew how much I despised hospitals and anything medical.
I walked upto the reception desk and signed myself in, and was baout to go and sit down when the receptionist, looking incredibly bored, glanced up at me
"You'll be seeing our new doctor today Elizabeth"She said in her nasal drawl.
"Pardon?"I stuttered out in shock
"Our new Doctor" She said looking at me as if I was stupid
"What's happened to Dr Stanford?"
"She's left us unfortunately, but our new Doctor is lovely, you'll like him"
I walked off and sat on one of the faded leather chairs. Cursing internally, I wondered if I should just get up and walk out. Deep down I knew I couldn't, I knew I had to be here. I was so bloody thankful I had showered that morning.
I sat fiddling with a magazine I had picked up but not bothered reading. I could feel the nerves churning in my stomach. I was fidgeting nervously in the seat and starting to feel a little bit queasy. I really didn't want to do this.
