The Gate of Kelga: The Lost Orb (always open OOC)

I work with my phone not pc and strangely enough lit often blocks my post.
So i always post short posts then edit immediately, rather than have a long post blocked let a short one be blocked.
Please do note this sign guys.
SP at the end of my post means i'm still adding more things to it.
About starting the IC. I'm still having trouble deciding one major factor. Once that's decided i can bring up the char.
Question is;
Do i control Glandur and his minions or do i leave him as an important NPC that everyone can control?

Just a thing of note for Idrial and O'Bon.
Its a two day journey from Falkreath to Skr'ndor on a stady swift horse without breaking camp.
Its a two day journey from Elfheim to Falkreath too.
Do the maths for the rest.
Lol.
I'm eager to start.

For the record I think you mean "countries" not "continents" in your writing. Continents technically have nothing to do with the population living on them one way or another. Antarctica is a continent and there are no countries that lay claim to it. And if everybody in North America died it would still be a continent. By contrast you can't have a country without people. It's just land then.

Dear God that is a lot to take in. Are you like Jeffinator's twin or something? Okay bunch of ancient history that's nice, gate is weaking because a douche stole to Orb that keeps us safe from the monsters on the other side. The 9 Kings (High Kings as they have kings beneath them) said "oh shit!" And gathered for a meeting to deal with this shit post haste and we'll be starting at the meeting? I just want to be sure I've got a fair understanding before diving in.

I'll be jumping into this too, but would you prefer another dragon character or a more human-type?

ok so 3 day ride maybe 4 if we stop for camp more than once got it. I'm not killing a horse in rushing unless running for our lives lol.

A dragon character won't do, i'm sorry. There're already two dragon characters in the team. You can pick a character from any of the nine ancient cities, or even inter-breed them to get a hybrid that suit your taste.

Ready whenever we start.

I'm not yet ready to start.
Still in need of names for the city of the centaurs and their country. (thanks Sean)
Also names for the two sides that have been divided by the Garland river.
And lastly, do i control Glandur and his minions or leave him as an NPC that everyone can post for?

I suspected as much for the balance of the group. Not a problem.

What about an orc that is not with Glandur? I have an idea for an orc leader that has been deposed by Glandur.

I would say control him and his minions. In my experience, it will help keep the story on track.

The centaur lands will be called Hipanthros Potta, (It's an absolutely brutal mangling of the greek for Horseman River since the Garland does run through it.

No problem on the correction. I was trying to get a sense for the scale of things here and was thinking My this is a tiny tiny planet. 9 continents all virtually atop another and then you mentioned populations and it all clicked! :)

Are the royals actually fair game here?

Yes, been looking forward to someone representing the Orcaez. Wanting to restore the glory and honor of his people. (If orcs once had honor lol)
I'll control Glandur and his minions as you have said.
And sean, yes its fair game.
O'Bon is an elven prince. So you're free to come from any royal line.
Though i'll object to a king. Lol.
Since all have been decided, i'll have it up lets say in four to five houre from now.

I must have misunderstood the premise of the story as I thought it was based on the storyline told in those LittleSprite, Mantra, and I participated in.

I see now it is not. The characterizations thus far have included references to Skyrin, which is a game I very much enjoyed. I believe that I have a good understanding of the world I which we will play our characters, though.

I must point out, however, that my character of O'Bonn is an old character from our original stories. Because of this, I have a firmly set idea of who and what he is. I'm inflexible about changing any of his backstory, characteristics, or behaviors.

If this is an issue then please let me know and I will submit a new character for consideration.

I have no problem with it. I am aware of who O'Bonn is. All i ask is that the Northlands be a combination of cities under the rule of O'Bonn home city. Elfheim.
The story actually starts three days after before the gathering and two days after the orb was taken. I'll start the IC now.
Won't have time to put up the link, so someone should do that.

Name: Tyr Scarson
Race: Human
Age: 23
Hair: Auburn
Eyes: ice blue
Tyr

Tyr is nearly seven feet of solid muscle honed in the Coldlands surrounding the ancient city of Frillon. His entire life has been dedicated to fighting in the service of his kinsmen. To that end he spent much of his youth alone in the wilderness training to become the perfect warrior and in fact prior to being crowned had only been in the capital a handful of times.

Tyr is rarely seen without drink in hand is quick to friendship and generally slow to anger but once angered he is a force to be reckoned with. He at times seems to be not all because he can hear his ancestors guide his footsteps.

Upon his eighteenth birthday he was given the twin axes Firaga and Aisizu which are said to house the souls of his ancestors and someday when he dies his own spirit will be bound to one of the blades.

Firaga is home to the rage of those who died violent and unjust deaths. It is capable producing searing flames capable of cutting through most substances. It constantly hungers for violence and whispers into Tyr's mind.

Aisizu is home to the wise who died En Somnus (Literally asleep but anybody who dies of natural causes after the age of 50 is granted the title). It represents wisdom and patience. While it does not shy from combat Aisizu's advice to study and learn not to rush in blind. It is capable of producing extreme cold.

(I'll finish toning down the axes later once I figure out something that isn't complete garbage.)

Started the ic. Someone should help get the link up.
I've opened a chance for O'Bonn to post. If he's with Idrial or Idrial comes into the scene, i'll go back and edit.
Also everyone is free to post their scenes now. How they learnt about the gathering and their journey there.

Name: Druz Bonebasher
Race: Orc
Height: 7' 3"
Weight 340 lb
Age: 23
Occupation: WarSinger (battle priest)
Weapons: Pair of heavy, iron-shod, spiked maces each made from a skull and filled with molten iron (Smash'em and Bash'em) Da Thundalance (fancy name for a heavy, orcish spear but can be used as a light lance), Sling w/stones
Description: His skin is deep green which is fitting given his broad, boxy stature. His head and jaw are equally thick and broad with an upward jutting tusk at each corner of his lips. Two thin braids of course, black hair dangled astride his chin and the hair on his head is equally coarse, braided and crudely cut. His ears are large and flat against his head, with three gold rings adorning each lobe and one matching ring piercing his wide nose.

Druz is the eldest (surviving) son of one of the many Orc chieftains living in the mountain retreats of the orc lands. He has made a bit of a name for himself both as a battle priest as well as a raid leader and negotiator among the clans (or at least as diplomacy goes between orcs). His manor, speech and attitude makes people from outside the orcish community think of Druz as an uncultured and stupid brute, but many have learned that while defiantly uncultured, Druz is intelligent, clever, cunning and ruthless. Many learn this far too late, and don't live long enough to regret their mistake.
Druz’s companion is FurFang, a black and grey Worg Alpha. Nearly 14 hands at the shoulder, Druz can use him as a mount as required.

The Breath of life is like the Mort-sith's Breath of life in legend of the seeker. Though i have limited it to only three use in a lifetime.
