Had an idea a while back that sort of fits to a degree.

Couples go to a club where they lay on some sort of individual beds/tables/platforms side by side. There is a partition placed over them at the waist. Below the partition they're nude and a group of people can do as they wish to the couple.

Above the partition, they can see each other from the waist up and talk to each other, but nothing from the waist down. They can see the expressions on their faces and explain what they're feeling and what is happening.

When people get together for illicit sex it isn't always seedy. I'm led to believe that some upmarket brothels border on the palatial. Lovers and affairs also come to mind.
