'That was wonderful, truly wonderful Bill' says Mavis as she gets off the bike, feeling some physical connection having been with him for so long in the saddle.
She keeps close to him as they enter Dixie's.
'I don't feel quite as young as I used to Bill to be honest but well you have really blown the cobwebs away this morning'
Mavis is really impressed with his confidence and handling of the bike. She has no qualms about riding pillion with him and really wants more.
'I'd love a bite to eat' she says to Bill.
For some reason there seems a release of tension and Mavis gives Bill a friendly little cuddle before she remembers herself and just smiles and moves away to a more respectful distance. They are fellow bikers, not lovers.
Mavis looks around the diner to see what is what, as is her way. Her attention though is only really directed one way, to her fellow rider.
At lunchtime Helen meets David and they walk to a nearly local park, choosing to lie down on the grass together, their bodies achieving a closeness not experienced before. The first kiss comes naturally, it is gentle and tender. Others follow as Helen's eyes close as she feels the sensuousness of his lips and tongue with hers as she lies back to let him snog her.
As she sits up Helen says 'well David that came as a nice surprise'
'I have been plucking up courage to do that for ages'
Helen smiles and holds his hand. 'Come on we must be getting back'. She does not want to let go of him but knows as they enter college it would be best if they keep a respectful distance, at least for now.
