The name of the tavern was the Grinning Skull, and for its sign it has a Skull with a frock coat and a powered wig and rouge. Inside the place was dim, the ceiling low, but the tables and floors clean. Like many of the more modern places the reeds on the floor had been replaced with wooden planks and a sullen girl of about 11 was sweeping it.
Klaes brought over and served the meal and frowned at the mess the stranger was creating. "Extra for clean up." He sneered. Actually, he didn't have much choice to sneer, he had a lovely scar from his chin up into his hairline that pulled his lip up.

Marion glanced over as she served Tirinath and then did a double take. Her green eyes grew speculative even as she flirted with the man.
"Oh, I love the smell of a good baccy on a man..." She said as she leaned that extra inch to pour his brandy.

The day time shops were closing down as he walked and the night folk were warming up. Rich food smells came from café's rich and poor, flower sellers were setting up stalls near romantic walkways, a set of actors were putting up a shifty working at the entrance of a park for a night's performance. As he stood to watch he was surprised at the choice of work...But then these street actors were satirist of the lowest order, so often more honest...
In this one the Prince was played by an actor with a large codpiece. He spoke to someone who was apparently the newly dead cabinet member who nodded as he spoke, but then pulled a dagger and tried to sneak up on the prince every time his back was turned. At the last moment the princes Mistress came up and strangled the cabinet member and riffled his pockets. Hiding the body with her skirts she kissed the prince and picked his pockets as well. A servant brought them both wine and the Mistress keeled over dead after gasping "Poison".
As the play continued the body count continued to climb, the whole time the Prince was unaware.

"Klaes, I need two hearty meals and some brandy," she called. She was met with a smile as she ushered the man into a table in the corner of the room. She sat down across from him and tried to straighten down her hair, it was a little frizzy.

With the chase, and the excitement of closing a immensely one sided deal, Markus felt restless, and locking the doors for the third time, but on the other side, he began walking down the road and wandered where his nomadic feet took him.
