I am sorry about your stomach.
my day was chaotic but it started nice with some time on the water with the rising sun warming my face.....nature was in full force too. Manatees, fish, pelicans, herons....even though I was focusing on making music I could not help but notice all of this going on around me.

I keep in touch whereever I am.....smile...I keep the birdbaths full and keep the yard a little shabby so the birds can find comfort there. I get excited because we have Baltimore Orioles that like to winter in this yard, this year I am going to feed them. The Indian River Lagoon is nice.....it is quieter and gentler than the ocean......fits my nature. Even though I live just a few miles from the ocean I rarely go.
There are few places here in my county where there are still ancient trees....I like to visit them on occasion, I like to sit in their presence and talk to them and listen.....the quiet sound of the leaves whispering in the wind is soothing.

wow...i sooooo envy you *sighs*

smile...I bet you have more trees than we do. In the last century loggers took out much of the old growth forest in Florida, there are areas in the panhandle where old growth forest still exist, it is here that sightings of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker have been reported by locals. This has not been substantiated by scientists though.
In central Florida there used to be old stands of cypress....they are gone....but on private land some old trees still exist....these can be huge around the base like a redwood. I know of one stand, on land reserved for hunters I used to hike to remote areas to observe wildlife and see the trees. Next time I go I want to take my camera and get some photos.
