This idea actually game to me in a dream.
We start out with two letters, for example IN. Then each person adds to it to create a new word.

Example of progression: IN > PIN > PINK

That's the basic idea. Two notes to add, though.
You must always add at least one letter (there, however, is no maximum, so you could theoretically go from IN to SYNCHRONiZATIOn). Also, you can change the letters around however you need them to create the new word.
The second thing is if and when we come to a point where no other words can be created, we'll just start over with two new letters. If this were a drinking game, it would be at this point that someone would drink.
So, let's give this a shot.

If you can add as many letters as you like, you could 'finish' the word in one turn, and that would be a lot of drinking.

Unknowingly.

I'll take the first dive seeing as unbeknowingly isn't a word

As

(try to avoid letters like q, k, z, x and such. They're word killers. Word weeds, if you must)

It's my game, so I'm going to add something. You don't have to hold back at one word. This can go as long as needed. Word after word. Sentence after sentence. Otherwise we end up needing to start over after several words.

So....

My lovely tupperware party
