It wasn't long before Kaiya fell asleep in his arms, the warmth of his body against hers a comfort after the long day they both experienced. Hours earlier she wouldn't have even thought about falling asleep anywhere near him. To put herself in such a vunerable spot with someone who hated her so much would have been a terrible idea. But now, even though she was sure he still hated her deep down inside, she knew he wouldn't dare try to do anything to her, he feared her enough not to.
Her sleep was filled with dark, vivid dreams. Visions filled with torture and death, that even she would not believe herself to be capable of. She cried out in her sleep, her body moving restlessly against his, her hair damp with sweat. As much as she tried to wake herself from the dream, she remained asleep, as if something else was controlling her. Finally the dreams subsided and she fell into a deep sleep, her body relaxing once again against his.
She woke several hours later still wrapped in his strong arms. She looked over at his sleeping face, softened in his slumber. Reaching out, she brushed an errant hair from his cheek and just laid there looking at him, waiting for him to wake up. She didn't have the heart at the moment to wake him up, after the fitful sleep she had and the day he had the day before.
