Hearing a sudden loud splash on the far side of the pool, Elaine gasped in surprise and quickly ducked behind a nearby rock formation protruding out from the water, her heart hammering in her chest. She could hear whoever it was laughing, and this eased her fear some. An enemy soldier trying to sneak up on her or the camp for an attack wouldn't be laughing and splashing about as this person was. Most likely it was one of the other soldiers, come to bath in the pool just like she had. Either way though she didn't want to be spotted. Best to lay low and stay where she was. They were on the other side of the pool after all. She might be able to just wait it out and remain hidden until they left.

It was at that exact moment however that her foot slipped on a slick rock beneath her, causing her to shift in the water and creating a soft but audible splash. She inwardly cursed, knowing that they must have heard.

He heard it right away his head snapping up and cock to the side.

"Who is there?" He asked his voice strong and sure. His hands curled up his eyes narrowing as he looked around.

Elaine muttered a curse under her breath as she was spotted and peered out from her hiding place at the person, her eyes widening in shock when she saw that it was none other than Prince Kegan himself!

Kegan, her prince and commander and now comrade as they'd trained together over the past month and spent more and more time together as she'd slowly shown herself capable enough until he'd eventually risen her in the ranks to make her his second. Kegan, whom she'd come to respect and admire, and whom unknowingly made her belly quiver every time he gave her a friendly pat on the back or smiled at her.

She blushed profusely as he covered his eyes an crossed her arms over her exposed chest.

"I didnt.... Wow I didnt know there were any women so close to camp"

"I...I didn't think any of the men would be out here this late," she told him in reply.

"Well we have a camp not to far from here" He explained keeping his eyes covered even though every thing in him screamed to peek.

"My men and I are part of the army training to start combating the raiders to the south we were here training for that mission and I saw the lake during one of our runs.... Are you from one of the villages near by?" He asked his tone hopeful as he began to inch closer to her.

"Um, kind of. I'm...I'm visiting family," she told him. Technically it wasn't a lie. She had joined the troops to fight in the war like her brothers after all.

She waded into deeper water to help conceal her naked body as he began to inch closer to her, though she wasn't sure how much it would help. The water was crystal clear and the moon was almost completely full overhead, casting it's bright silvery light on them both.

Though luckily for her, this also meant that she was able to fully view Kegan's body as he moved closer. Covering his eyes as he was, she didn't try to hide her gazing and took the opportunity to take him all in, her eyes roaming over his strong form appreciatively. She shivered as she felt her body flood with heat as she watched him, despite the coolness of the water.

"I see" He said choosing to stop a few feet from her. He moved his hand from his eyes averting his gaze from her body in a respectful way.

"Well I am glad it was I who ran into you and not one of the men... Seeing a woman as alluring as you they might not have been able to contain them selves" He said to her a small smile crossing his face.

"Tell me do you mind if I join you? If your back needs washing I would be... More than happy to assist" He said his cock bobbing in the water as he glanced down at her.

Even though Kegan was respectful enough to keep his gaze up and on her face, Elaine kept her arms crossed demurely over her chest as he approached her. She blushed slightly and returned his small smile, pleased at the knowledge that he found her alluring now that he was seeing her for who she truly was behind the disguise that she normally wore when with him.

"I don't mind... actually it is kind of hard to reach on my own," she told him softly before turning slowly and offering her back to him.

"The pleasure is all mine" He said smirking in pleasure and moving towards her back. He grabbed the soap she brought and with no hesitation began moving the bar up and down her back and soaping it up. He leaned in resisting the urge to kiss the back of her neck as he washed her.

"So there is no husband thats going to try and split my skull with an ax for touching you is there?" He asked his tone light "Surely a woman as pretty as you has her fair share of suitors?"

Elaine resisted the urge to shiver as Kegan began to was her back and leaned in closer to her.

"No, no husband. No suitor either," she told him with a small smile as she turned to gaze back at him over her shoulder, "My older brothers have done a pretty good job at scaring them away so far."

He finished washing her back and brought a hand full of water up to play on her back. He once more resisted the urge to lean in and taste her skin and instead handed her back the soap.

"So if I give you a token of my appreciation and desire to be with you would you be accepting?" He asked boldly.

Yes, she thought he could as well. Not only was Kegan a more experienced warrior, but she doubted very likely her brothers would want to be guilty of getting into a fight with their prince and commander. She did her best to suppress a grin at the thought.

"So if I give you a token of my appreciation and desire to be with you would you be accepting?"

A shiver ran through her at his words and the tone in which he'd said them.

"What kind of token?" she asked softly, a blush blooming in her cheeks and her heart quickening in her chest as she turned to face him.

"Well a token a man tends to give to a woman before he goes off to war" He said his eyes drifting down to admire her chest before snapping back up.

"We have just met but you are unlike any woman I have ever met a true beauty" He said reaching out to cup her face "I am a blunt man or at least a direct one I would like to present you with a token stating when I return back from war I will come for you...."

Strong as she was, Elaine felt her knees shake beneath her in the water as Kegan reached out and cupped her face. She could not believe what she was hearing. Was this really happening, or was she simply asleep in her tent dreaming of him like so many nights before? Whatever the case may be she found herself nodding.

"I accept your token," she breathed softly, her heart pounding within her chest.

"Excellent" He said his tone happy and pleasure he reached and before she could stop him she was in his arms. He ran his hand up and down her slender back finding the small of her back and pressing into it.

Then he kissed her

He kissed her deeply his lips pressing against hers. He held the kiss for several seconds long enough to wrap his arms around her and lift her slightly as the water ran down her body in rivers. He finally broke the kiss locking eyes and smiling with her before dropping her down.

"Allow me to go get it for you" He said smiling softly and turning. He moved over to his pack rooting in it as he held up a hand to tell her to wait.

Elaine was in such a state of shock that she couldn't even react when Kegan suddenly gathered her in his arms for a deep and lingering kiss, lifting her out of the water and then setting her back down again. Once again her knees had gone weak, and she was half surprised that when he set her back down in the water and went to retrieve the token he'd spoken of that she didn't fall over into the water right there. He motioned for her to wait, but dazed as she was she couldn't have tried to leave even if she'd wanted to. Shocked as she was, her hands dropped to her sides, completely forgetting about her nakedness.

He came back moments later his large form wading through the water cutting it across. He noticed her hand having dropped and smiled a pleased smile as his eyes ran up and down her form. He settled back on her face and stopped in front of her pulling out a small medalion.

"This is my family crest" He told her handing it to her "It make look familiar that is my token keep it by you and safe and after this war is over I will come for you and show you a life you could only imagine"

Elaine held out her hand and took the medallion from Kegan as he handed it to her. Glancing down she looked at it in her palm, her finger tracing over the outline of his family crest...the royal family crest. Aye, it was familiar. If only he knew how familiar. She'd gazed at this crest for over a month now on the banners within the camp while training with him, though she couldn't let him know that. Still, if he thought her a girl from one of the local villages surely he would know she would recognize the crest for what it was.

"You are royal and yet you make such promises to a woman that you don't even know?" she asked in disbelief. She knew him to be an honest and noble man, and yet it was still hard to imagine.

"How do I know that you won't change your mind?" she asked, wondering what he would think if and when he ever learned that the woman standing before him was also the lad 'Ewan' who had been training with him in camp for so long now.

"Well for one your the most prettiest girl I have ever laid eyes on" Prince Kegan said a bemused smile on his face "And second off I am a prince a man of the people nothing is more important to me then my word I said I will be back and I will be back"

"Though if your really that worried you could come stay in the camp with me" He said chuckling "I am sure the men would LOVE you I would have to execute half my forces!"

He leaned in cupping her chin and lifting her up to lock eyes with him.

"I will come back for you my pretty bird" He said leaning in kissing her deeply once more.

A blush tinting Elaine's cheeks as Kegan lifted her chin and she locked eyes with him, she felt her heart swell at his promise to come back for her. Her heart hammered in her chest when he kissed her again, though this time she did not just stand still in shock as she did before. Tentatively she began to kiss him back, her lips pressing back and tasting his own as she slid her arms up and around his neck while she gripped the medallion he had given her tightly in her hand.

Elaine let her grip on Kegan loosen as he placed her back down, her hands sliding down from his neck to rest against his chest as she looked up at him and her chest still rising and falling noticeably as she tried to regain her breath after their kiss.

"I believe you," she told him in reply, her skin feeling flushed and hot and a smile pulling at the corners of her lips, "As soon as the war is over I will be right here waiting for you."

"Good" He said a large grin on his face as he let her go "And I shall come back to you now that I have some thing to keep going for I shall be the terror on the battlefield"

He turned noting the sun beginning to peek over the tree line "I must go sadly" He told her turning back and frowning "I do not suppose you will be back? My company leaves at the end of the week but I could make another trip here before then if you will be back of course"

"I can come back," Elaine replied quickly with a nod when Kegan suggested that they meet again before the troops left at the end of the week, eager for the chance to get to meet with him like this again.

"When do you want to meet?" she asked, taking the medallion he had given her and slipping its chain over her head so that the pendant hung around her graceful neck and rested just at the top of her breasts.

"Me to" He said his smile lighting up his face as his eyes shone in the fading moon light.

"We can meet in three days time" He told her moving over to the ground and pulling himself up. He rose out of the water easily his powerful body dripping with water as he got up and turned to her. Water dripped off his cock slowly falling to the ground as he grinned at her.


"Until then my lovely" He told her blowing her a kiss before he turned and made his way back to his clothing and towel.
