The Holy Grail

"And why do witches burn?"

"Because they're made of wood!"

"Exactly. And what happens to wood in the water?"

"It sinks."

"And a duck doesn't. So, if she weighs more than a duck, what is she?"

"A WITCH!"

"Yes!"

But, seriously, there is a reason that I am quoting it in my signature. I LOVE that "help, help, I'm being repressed" scene.

"Now we see the violence inherent in the system! Now, we see the violence inherent in the system! He's repressing me! Did you see him repressing me! Help, help, I'm being repressed!"

It's a rollicking way to look at the legend of King Arthur (usually take for granted as a good guy).

Slightly broadening the thread, I remember the first time I saw 'The Fish Slapping Dance'.
I was eating at the time and damn near choked I was laughing so much :)

I think that certainly most middle school kids would appreciate Monty Python.

I don't think I'd show them say, The Life of Brian or the Meaning of Life, until high school, but the Holy Grail is mild PG-13 fare.

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy."

thats a great link Ent !!

.... both of the midgits that hang around my house have seen Python movies and some of the shows (now getting very old) ... they were prolly around 9-13 yrs old at the time. There was certainly no problem, I think many of the jokes were over their heads, and any of the more *naughty* bits were no issue atall.

.... now whenever I try to bring out one of the *classic* movies to watch.. there is groaning all around and they both leave the room... definitely not Python fans like their dad

I fart in your general direction.

Mine are 10 and 12. The 10yo has seen it, the 12yo can't wait.
I'll buy it on Saturday/Sunday for the school holiday.
That should upset the mother in law. :D

Be correct show the little minkeys the film for your and their sakes and then BRIAN! BRIAN! BRIAN!. REMEMBER HE'S NOT THE MESSIAH! Oh! I just remebered the previous (bushy) scene, perhaps not unless your sprogs can cope with the Biggus Dickus references :D

When is it the proper age to share such a masterpiece with your children?
Fourteen. Everyone should have seen Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life by the time they are fourteen. Otherwise they will be the only kids in high school who don't get the jokes.

We watched it last evening - family popcorn and movie night.

Daughter loved it, of course. But what was most unexpected was our 7-year-old son's response. Damn. He laughed nonstop.

Of course the slapstick parts were funny for him, and the animated sections, but he also loved the songs and the Black Knight and when the French threw the animals over the wall . . .

Anyway. Good time had by all. :cathappy:

OK. Let's up the ante a little bit. "Blazing Saddles".

My mom and I took my sister and brother (twins) and four of their friends when they were 15 and underage when it first came out. :D

(My brother laughed hysterically at "shitload of dimes".)

I'm not surprised at me, but my mother..............

God, I'm proud of my heritage.

Wonderful movie.

A bit too much for ours, yet.

(I can't believe I escaped my son asking about "And after the spanking, comes the oral sex!") :cathappy:

Sometimes you just get lucky.

I have fond memories of both "Holy Grail" and "Blazing Saddles". More because of the people I saw them with than the movies themselves.

Lovely memories.

It is so fun to be able to quote with friends. The AH here is a special place for that. One person tosses out a Monty Python quote and the next person doesn't even say "Oh, I Monty Python!" they just continue the conversation - almost as if everyone is on the same wavelength.

It's unique.

Where else could you say, "Excuse me while I whip this thing out." and have a roomful of people immediately grasp the situation (and gasp in reply).

Small family groups, small gatherings, certainly, but not an entire forum of intelligent, witty perverts.

:D

Yeah, but what makes it bad is that I'm more perverted that most. I have an imagination that literally knows no bounds. It'll go where just about anyone else would be afraid to.

Tally ho!

Either sexual games or The Prisoner.

I think you have me here.

Oh, shit. The Prisoner. Don't let me go there. It came out in 1967 and I saw it first run at the age of 13 and loved it. I have all of it on tape.

And as for sexual games..........................

I got a new pair of wrist restraints for my birthday.

And I've always thought the exact proper torture is to get a woman just to the edge and keep her there...................

I am such a bastard. :D

Has anyone ever returned the favor?

There is something so delicious in watching a man strain at that very edge.

Yum.

No.

My forte' has always been what I can do, not what is done to me (much to my wife's consternation). I have never lost. (Sex is a game in which the first to become completely sated loses.) The whole objective, in the end, is to fuck my partner into a puddle of mush. And I do.

But on the other side, I've never let me get to the edge in that kind of circumstance. I am way too much of a control freak. Over me. I don't yield. Period.

I am such a bastard. :D

Sounds that way, doesn't it?

Turn-about can be fun, even though I don't get the chance to do it very often.

Generally my husband holds the reins, so to speak. Besides, he's much bigger and stronger than I am. He can easily control my pitiful struggles to escape.

Escape???????????

Now there's a concept that no woman has tried to introduce me to. It's rather been the other way around. I'd been elated if one had tried to escape.

And I'm bigger and stronger that any woman I've been with, but I've never used it unless asked to.

Oh my God. Yes - trying to escape.

Struggling and writhing and fighting and squirming. We take martial arts training together. I'm good - he's better.

Talk about wild sex.
