The Hunters (Closed)

I watched him absorb all the blood that had been spilled. That was a unique talent of his. It was certainly something that Alucard never used. Perhaps Derek might be able to beat my master if the time were to ever come. It was certainly interesting. I walked out the door as he mentioned he needed to clear up any data lines that might be traceable. I understood that and knew if anyone could do it, it would be him. Even Julie couldn't clean up that fast. Hell, she would have passed out by now.

The wind began to blow as I stood by the car. Hair flowing behind me as I held my sword in front of my body. The scent of blood still lingering in the air. My eyes glowing red as I looked to the sky. It was the power of Alucard that ran through my own veins that made the blood-lust rise in my body. I smiled as I felt the presence of Alucard once again. He was staying at a great distance, but it seemed he was evaluating the situation. "His power is...strange. Such a challenge," Alucard smirked his wide toothy grin before disappearing again as Derek appeared, his words still echoing in my thoughts..

I turned to Derek. "Yes, I'm ready. You did well today. We should head back to the organization." I said shifting the car into drive. We made it back to the mansion in a timely manner and I looked to him. "Upload the documents and information, then report to me later on in the dining hall. I'll have dinner served there.." I walked inside and decided to go get cleaned up.

I walked into my room, turning on the shower in the bathroom and stepping under the cascading water. The blood washing off of me. The wound I had received on my cheek was healing as the water washed over me. I stepped out and dried off. Slipping into a dark green dress, I made my way to the dining hall. Everyone else had eaten and left, but Derek and I would be able to eat together. It would allow me to evaluate the information as well as how he handled things.

I head to my room to start the download of all the data I had retrieved form the rouge vampire’s severs. After I start the download I head to the shower to wash off and center myself. I get out of the shower and dry off. I begin to think about why Anna hadn’t punished me for disobeying an order. I know she was in danger but still she gave me an order to do data retrieval and that was it nothing more. It nagged at me for a while I couldn’t really think of anything else because it was strange to me. When I was held in the facility before Anna had come to get me I heard multiple times of men and women getting punished for breaking a rule or disobeying an order.

I set down cleaning my guns still thinking but I wasn’t coming to an answer and wasn’t coming to a conclusion. I just shake my head and stop thinking about it because if I didn’t I would go crazy trying to rationalize it to myself. I get up and look in the closet for anything that she put in it that looked remotely dressy but couldn’t find anything I liked. I put on a BDU jacket that was solid black and the same matching pants. I clean off the boots I wore on the mission and make my way to the dining hall. I didn’t know what Anna was going to have fixed for us seeing how they only needed blood to survive and nothing else.

I was in the doorway of the dining hall when I see Anna in her dark green dress she looked amazing in it. I had to stand there for a bit and admire her for a bit. She looked beautiful in the dress and it stopped me in my tracks. “You look stunning Anna what are we going to have for dinner?” I ask her trying to just say something.

I sat there looking at the place setting that was to be Derek's spot. The chef came in and whispered in my ear. "Yes, wine will be a fine pairing.." I said in response. Then he came in. I looked in his direction as he seemingly looked stunned by my appearance. His mind was racing so much that I couldn't read his thoughts. I moved my hand to wave him in the direction of his chair.

"Thank you for the compliment," I responded to him. "Dinner will be pasta paired with meats on the side to choose from and bread.. Please, sit.." I said taking a sip from my glass that had been filled with wine. I savored the taste of the wine as I swirled the glass around a bit. I then sat the glass down and focused on Derek. He wasn't sitting too far from me, only a few chairs down from me.

I looked him over before I began to speak. "Your first mission went excellently. However..." I paused for a moment. "...the data information that you retrieved from the rogue hideout was damaged in the decryption process due to a malware software that was encoded in the data. I was hoping you could take a look at the computers in the basement after dinner. Perhaps there is still some information that can be saved.."

Dinner was soon served. After eating, I stood, moving behind Derek. "Perhaps this will enhance your ability to read minds.." I placed my hands on either side of his head and sent a dark stream of power into his brain. I could feel the block that was there causing him to not be able to read minds.

I stepped back for a moment. "There are side effects to me using that process. You will have your mind filled with constant thoughts from others until you learn to channel your focus. Also, you might want to relieve yourself tonight..." I said looking down to his groin, eyeing an erection before walking back to my seat at the table.

I begin to hear all the thoughts of everyone in the mansion and begin to feel sick as well. I get up without saying a word and head to my room to try to calm down a bit before I could even think about trying to look at the data. My head was still spinning from all of the thoughts in the area. I start to focus on locking out the thoughts and slowly they began to disappear from my mind. I leave my room before Anna or anyone else could come to check on me and break my concentration. I head to the basement to where the computers were located at so I can look at the data that is said to be damaged. Once I got there I take a look at the data to see that what she said was correct but that didn’t really add up to me. I begin to wonder why any cooperation would upload data that had malware in it onto their servers. I soon see what it really was it was the encryption program way of keeping people from hacking into the data. It was set up so that if anyone was to enter a wrong key into the encryption lock it would destroy the data much like usb flash drive they have on the market that you can put a password on it to be entered and if they do it wrong a certain number of times then the drive will be wiped. This was all great in theory but the implementation of it meant that there had to be password that only changed every so often so that people wouldn’t forget it and wipe the data or their data file. I begin to run an encryption breaker in a sandbox environment with a copy of the data we took. I want to get the key without deleting the data so the best way to do this and protect our computers was to do this. I sat there watching the screen copying the data when the need arose. I could hear voices in my head from time to time when my concentration would weaken a bit.
