Lol, I hear ya. So many people ask if they can visit my cabin in winter. I'm very congenial and always say yes but mention an outhouse and they quickly change their minds.
Personally I love it there in the winter.
Have to admit, I use a pee bucket in the middle of the night that I empty in the morning when it's really cold.

That just knocks the "adventure" out of it for some folk. But, bodily functions gotta happen, or you're gonna have issues.

Edward loves the snow, and he can keep watch for bears whilst I shit.

The bears should be denned up and snoozing. There will be wolverines and porcupines. Perhaps a wolf or three.
