Do we still, like Cesar, need to beware of them?

"Beware the ides of March" seems like a title or theme (opening line?) that a story could be built around but, other than naming te villain Britus, i don't quite see it.

Since betrayal is the theme, it risks being a Loving Wives idea.

Well, to go further with this I looked it up for the sake of clarity. So as the ides were the full moon, a werewolf story would be a no brainer.
But my filthy mind thinks of a woman who is a selenophile. Someone with a deep connection to the moon. On these nights she gets incredibly amorous and wants sex outside, so she finds a local park that has a dogging location. She's married and she takes her husband along and at first they watch while he fucks her from behind. Eventually they get pulled into the lustful crowd.

That's interesting about the lunar connection! I always just thought it meant "the fifteenth" as a sort of slang. Thanks for the research.

It could be the story of a gang of cougars, all widows, who were all married during the month of March long ago. Now they get together and prowl for cubs. They call themselves The Brides of March, and young frat guys jokingly tell each other to "beware" of them. Even though they let themselves get picked up by the cougars whenever sorority chicks are scarce.

Forget the sorority chicks. Choose the randy cougars every time!
