Winks over at Sylvie and pours them both another drink and hands her one, taking her by the hand to join Dev at the pool table and grinning at them, the sharp points of her insisors barely showing.

So what made you come here all the way from Scotland Dev?

Curling on a lounge and sitting my drink on the table.

*taking a moment to clear her head Sylvie looked up and Dev was gone. Confused she noticed Dee pouring drinks and guiding her to the pool table. Sound came back in a rush as she heard the chink of the balls, her ears perking forward as the tip of her tail lashed, her feline instict demanding that she hop upon the table and bat at the balls. Forcing herself not to she took a seat near Dee, sipping cautiously at the drink she'd been handed, not sure what it was*

Taking aim he breaks, watching as the balls dance around the table and cursing under his breath as they all manage to avoid the pockets as usuall.

"Just for the change of scenery I guess Miss. There isn't really anything for me back home, so I like to go for a wander now and then."

Smiles and nods

Sounds like a good reason to be adrift. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Are you enjoying your vanilla rum and coke Sylvie? winks I know its your favorite!

Grins at her and brushes a lock of her hair to the side.

Striking the cue-ball again his eyes narrow. Fury burning behind them as he watches the ball bounce from cushion to cushion without connecting with any others on the table.

"I'm startin to wonder if there's any point me playin this game. I'm sure the balls are just takin the piss outa me."

He looks up at Sylvie and forces a smile before placing the cue on the table, and taking a seat.

Watches intently as Dev goes to shoot and winces when he misses, seeing the fury in his eyes.

That game has a tendancy to piss me off too Dev.

Winks and offers a smile

Looking at Dee, he returns the smile warmly. Closing his eyes for a few seconds in hopes that the rage behind them would subside.

"I have the same problem with most games to be honest. We've all gotta be good at something, it's just a pain in the arse finding it."

Opening his eyes he forces his lips closed, supressing his smile once more.

Sitting there studying him her mind is whirling in a million different directions trying to figure him out but so far having no success. Throwing caution to the wind she looks at him plainly and without fear or hesistation.

Dev...what..exactly..are you?

Not wanting to offend him but knowing he is no mere human

*sitting quietly Sylvie sips the delicious drink Dee gave her, smiling to know her friend knows her favorites as she lets the talk buzz about her, listening and letting her friends get to know one another. At Dee's question she turns her curious gaze on Dev, her feline personality asserting itself once more as not even Sylvie had asked that question of him before*

Tilting his head to the side a little, his eyes narrowed as he gazed at Dee. Fighting the growl in his throat as he spoke to her in no more than a whisper.

"I Miss, am complicated. I am no longer the man I used to be, but this is the mask I choose to wear."

He motions his arms as if signaling that his whole body was a front of some kind, before looking to the floor.

Listens to him intently, not only his words but his body language and actions. Completely intrigued she absently began stroking Sylvie's tail as she listened. She noticed a sadness about him, a darkness and she felt he needed a hug or simply .. acceptance. She offered him a smile

Anyone or anything is welcome in our circle of friends Dev. I find you and your mask quite refreshing and intriguing.

Looking to Sylvie and winking I released her tail and rubbed behind her ears in that sweet spot she loved.

Hearing Dees words, he nodded and gave a low bow.

"And for that, I thank you Miss. It is more appreciated that you know."

He returned to an upright position in a jerking motion, and quickly fumbled to tuck the back of his shirt into his jeans. Walking briskly to were his long coat was hanging he took hold of it, and quickly threw it around his shoulders before returning to his seat by the pool table.

*finding herself staring at Dev she wrenched her gaze away from him, looking abashedly at the floor, the tip of her tail showing her anxiety as it just the end lashed in dee's hands. When she spoke her voice was heavy with sorrow and knowing*

She speaks the truth Dev.....I know that last time you saw me I didn't have.....I was....I looked....welll *finding words falling short she gestured at her ears and tail, her ears laying flat down her head, blending with her hair as though she was ashamed*

*Slowly she relaxed under Dee's touch, starting to purr as she hit that special spot*

His eyes widened a little as he looked at Sylvie, his voice crackling a little as he opened his mouth to speak, yet no words left his lips. He placed a finger from his right hand into his mouth and pierced it on one of his teeth, before lowering it to drip into the palm of his left hand.

"You know I have always found you breath taking my dear Sylv, and trust me, you're not the only one who has changed..."

Closing his eyes he began to sing quietly in gaelic, his voice growing louder as the blood in his palm began to bubble and shift. A low long growl eminating from his throat as the tiny pool of blood twisted and began to spin in his palm, glowing purple as the lights began to flicker above his head.
Suddenly his voice began to quieten again, the small ball of blood coming to rest in his palm. The lights in the room returning to normal as the small purple orb shone beneith them.

"Maybe this will cheer you up sweetie?"

Seporating his fingers the small orb rolled from his grasp, and across the floor in Sylvies direction.

I watch him go for his coat and at first I think he is leaving but I see he just puts it on and sits back down and that heightens my curiousity making me think he is trying to hide something but I let it go .. this time, not wanting to push further. I look over at Sylvie and see her anxiousness and I pull her closer to me and kiss her cheek, running my fingers through her hair whispering.

You, my sweet are beautiful and perfect just as you are, I would not change one single thing about you.

Watching , astounded at what Dev was doing I could not take my eyes away but I grinned when the orb came rolling to Sylvie.

That was delightful Dev!

*Sylvie stared at Dev, watching as he gaped and searched for words, feeling more the freak she looked at the ground with a soft sigh. Then she was pulled into Dee's arms, her kiss thawing her heart as it threatened to go cold, just as she scented blood on the air. Looking up sharply she saw blood welling up on Dev's palm. Worried that she'd done something wrong she wanted to open up her gift of empathy or try to read his mind but she hesitated to intrude upon his privacy....combined with the fact she'd always tried to appear human aroudn most people.

Then as he began to sing it literally stole her breath as she listened intently to the beautiful sounding words. Stunned by the lights and display it was now her turn to gape open mouthed at him....at least until he droped the orb. Then her ears perked up, light came into her eyes and her whole body tensed. She watched the thing roll towards her eyeing it curiously. At the last second before it could dissapear under the lounge from her view she pounced, snatching it up and holding it to the light, inspecting it a look of heated curiosity upon her fine features*

His eyes flickered open and a faint blush began to colour his ashen cheeks as Dee spoke to him, and his gaze was dropped once more to the floor.

"It is no more than a party trick Miss..."

Looking across the floor at Sylvie as she caugh the orb, a small smile began to grow on his lips.

"I may not have much of my soul left any more Sylv, but as long as you have that, you will always have me close to you."

Smiles at the sweet moment between the two old friends and decides at that moment she very much likes Sylvies friend since he's brought such a lovely smile to Sylvies face. Leaning to Sylvie she hugs her tight, hating that she must depart for a bit but unfortunately must go for a while. Kissing her cheeks and then rising and going to Dev with no fear or hesitance leaning down and kissing his cheek and giving him a hug.

You are always welcome here ..

She smiles and gives them a wave and disappears in a flash of silver

*Sylvie squealed delightedly, clutching the shiny purple ball close to her chest as a deep purring rumble sounded, her eyes closed as she brought the ball to her face, nuzzling it with her cheek, scent marking it as hers and taking his scent into her* I'll cherish it always Dev! *She wanted to ask just what he meant by his soul and he'd be close, but she could feel the ball pulsing with an energy of its own, and she didn't want to risk tarnishing the gift by questioning it*

*hugging Dee close and kissing both her cheeks in return she watches Dee hug Dev and and dissapear, missing the glowing smile that spread over her face knowing that her pack would welcome Dev.*

Seeing Dee and Sylvie hug made him feel warm. Glad to see his friend so happy with her new toy, and that she was so cared for in this place. He couldn't help but smile as he watched Sylvie scent mark the orb, and shifted in his seat a little to let Dee pass by him, unaware at what was to come.
Feeling her arms around him, and her lips on his cheek he reached around her. Patting her on the back as if unsure what to do. Unable to speak as he heard her words, shocked at having a place where he was welcomed.
He watched Dee dissapear and turned back to look at his friend. Seeing her glowing with such a smile, for a fraction of a second, he was sure that he could feel his heart beat.

*Feeling throughly happy Sylvie followed Dee's example and walked over to Dev, sitting herself down on his knee as she leaned over to hug him* Thank you very much for the present, its quite lovely!

Returning the hug he wrapped his arms around Sylvie, holding her close and growling quietly as she thanked him.

"There is no need for thanks Sylv, your smile is more than enough to me."

He nuzzled her cheek lightly with his nose as he smiled at her. His back twitching gently beneith his shirt and coat.

*Sylvie enjoyed the closeness, her body trembling against his as she shudders from his growl. Something about it always getting her. His words made her blush, she was tempted to hide her face against his shoulder but didn't want to push it. Startled as he nuzzled her she began to purr once more, knowing he'd feel the vibration thrumming through her body.*

Dev....are you ok.....Your back is like.....Twitchy...

sauntering toward the inferno a new scent catches her nose and she pauses, just outside rthe doors, wary.

Hearing and scenting the members of her pack she enters, her blue eyes taking in the stranger in their midst

Evening

a purr almost, in a low voice

Taking a deep breath he relaxed against her, feeling her purr against his chest. He stroked her hair gently and played with her ear a little, only stopping when she spoke to him.

"I'm ok Sylv, I've just... as I said before, there have been quite a few changes since we last saw each other..."

He tugged at his coat a little, hoping that maybe pulling it tighter to him, may stop his back from twitching.

Turning to look at the new face in the room, his voice broke a little.

"Good evening to you..."
