This was definitely not a good day!
Actually, the last few days weren't good days!
Trying to find the perfect recruit for your client wasn't as easy as it used to be in the old days. Today, they wanted highly intelligent, good-looking, exact experience, etc, etc ...
Back then, the world wasn't so complicated. You needed someone, you called me, I put out an ad, receive CVs, funnel them out a few choices, call them in for an interview and within a day or two you had your candidate.
Today job hunters were much more selective. Everybody only wanted the best and why not? Why settle for less when you can have more?
But today was my last day of interviewing and I had to come up with a suitable candidate. Of course, my client had provided me with a nice office to carry out my interviews. It was in a highrise with a spectacular view and it was starting to get dark and the shimmering lights from all around the city were starting to pop up. Unfortunately, I was in a very bad mood because of the prospects I had interviewed over the last three or four days.
I took off my jacket and loosened my tie and top button but decided to read the CV I had in my hand, one more time.
At least she had the experience! They wanted a seasoned Marketing Manager and by the look of things, she was just that. I told them that maybe they should just put their eye on one of their competitors' and let me go and steal him or her from them and get it over with! They said they wanted no problems. They also told me that they wanted a woman; the younger, the better. But where do you get a young woman with that type of experience?
I decided to call the secretary to send in the last one on the list. Her CV was impressive but so were all the others and when it came down to the actual meeting, they were all found wanting.
I few seconds later, the door to my office opened and in walked, what I thought to be, the most beautiful and sexiest woman I had seen in a long time.
She casually, yet confidently, walked over to the opposite side of my desk and extended her hand. "I'm Gina," she smiled, exposing a set of impeccable teeth that coplimented her straight black hair, slightly tanned tone and intelligent blue eyes.
I stood up to greet her. "Have a seat Gina," I said as I shook her soft hand. "I'm Martin and I'll be interviewing you." We both sat down and I looked at her CV again. "So tell me a little about yourself; why do think you're suited for this job?"
