Sometimes, I almost would welcome EST ala "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" as a release from the frustrations of the day(s). Other times, I know it would solve nothing, only pass some of the burdens to others, and make the burdens of yet others even heavier. So I shall - as I always have - struggle on and survive and persevere until I conquer.
 
My arm is sore and lame from practicing with the single tale.

Who knew it would be so physically intense?

And why didn't you warn me?

As I haven't worked much with single-tail, I couldn't warn you from personal experience... though I remember feeling the same way - in both arms! - when I began learning "Florentine" flogging (two floggers simultaneously in figure-eight format). Maybe if I hadn't done it for most of three hours in one session... poor pillow!

I have dabbled with Florentine flogging, but haven't really taken the time to work at it.

For the single tail, I used the dining room door and then had to have scooter clean it up today! It left all sorts of black marks and my family was coming for dinner.

I think a weightier whip would be easier to handle. This is one of those inexpensive "try and see if you like it" purchases.

When I did play with a single-tail a bit, I used a pillow or a sheet of paper suspended in the doorway (long strips of tape, lol). My object was to learn to "pop" the whip before it struck the paper rather than as it struck, since having it pop as it strikes a person is a good way to tear chunks of flesh out. When I was successful in popping before striking, it wouldn't tear the paper... I used up a lot of sheets of paper!

Post it allready, darn it! I've been waiting forever! (Well, only a week or so really, but patience has never been one of my virtues..)
