I am an emotional roller coaster this year. Fits of sobs and absentmindness all day at work today, and I just couldn't take charge. It made the day a lot less smooth that it should have been.

And we haven't even had a proper Christmas.

Christmases for the next few (maybe even many) years are going to be rough. I am unable to come home for Christmas next year (and will still have no boyfriend there), then the year after that I'll likely be moving out of the country to (finally) live with the boyfriend...then who knows when I'll be coming back to my parents for christmas...And my mom is SUPER upset about it because it won't be too long before my brothers are buggering off to do grad school somewhere else around the country as well.

It's a time of great change. It's mostly good or OK, or just plain inevitable...but that doesn't mean it's going to be easy.

Last summer Jounar and I planned for me to spend Christmas there. I talked to my mom about it, and she was surprizingly okay with it. Then a death in his family, and a change in my job, and it didn't happen. I have to choose my weeks of vaca a year in advance, so it's hard to make plans.
