Thanks Catalina I have been to see Dad, he is weak and a bit confused sometimes but he still knows us. We have found a nursing home and he will be moved into it on Wednesday morning. I am glad to have been able to see him, though it is hard seeing him this way remembering the strong capable man he used to be. He has had ill health since 1981, and I think the body has had enough of the struggle somehow.....

Why is it that taking care of a friends home gives me warm fuzzies, taking care of a Dom's home gives me tingles (read: wishing for kinky sex), taking care of the home of a person I respect gives me happy thoughts.....

But taking care of my home with children underfoot undoing tasks as fast as I can do them has no warm fuzzy, tingly, happy thoughts associated with it? Blergh.

Just a guess but could it because your own home is a never ending process whereas in the homes of others you can see the evidence of the work you've done to make someone else happy and more comfortable?...Without it being taken about 5 minutes later by the cute lil munchkins. (No kids of my own but with 9 siblings I know what it is to start cleaning and have a fresh mess follow in your wake.)
