PYL/pyl stands for pick your label. As far as I know, it started here and hasn't really carried over to any other places in the bdsm world. It grew from a label fracas, where people were discussing the difference between Doms/Tops/Daddies/Mommies/Mistresses/Masters/subs/slaves/toys/sluts/Sluts, so forth. PYL indicates those of the dominating persuasion and pyl indicates those of a submitting persuasion.
