What's fun to do in Minneapolis on a tuesday night, in case they don't get us a new plane in time to go tonight?

I can't get in yet. And my mother's here. Other than that...
Oh yes you can, some of them have 18 as the age limit, and are you sure your mom don't want to go as well? :D

Well, you don't strike me as the shopping type, but just outside of St Paul is the Mall of America http://www.mallofamerica.com/DAM_public/2493.gif

I spent a few days in Downtown Minneapolis back a year or so ago, and there was an amazing used book store down there James & Mary Laurie Used Books

Also there is an outstanding restaurant that serves breakfast anytime they are open called Hells Kitchen downtown.

Unfortunately, that's about all I can offer, as I was only there for 3 days, and didn't have a car.

Thank you TNR! We're still here, and out on the first flight out tomorrow. The plane is already here. Me, my mum, my cat and bronntanas all in a hotel room. If I see this as a plot in someone's incest story, I'm gonna sue! Hell's Kitchen was great. After dinner, we found a secondhand shop and my mum had raptures. A very nice TV hooker offered bronn a discount. He declined rather gracefully! This evening's entertainment has included such treats as watching a a 6 and a half foot tall man stretch out on a full size bed. I'd say the man really needs a queen instead, but he'd throw something at me!

Then say he needs a KING.

yeah, one small problem to the whole story thing . . . needs a dom/me.

Three subs in a room with a cat . . . sounds more like comedy.

pretty good, how you doing.

Tired. Worried about you a bit. You feeling all right? I can't imagine traveling with the injurie's you have. *hugs*

Here, i'll share my cookie. *breaks in half*

ooh.. nibbling the cookie and pouring milk I'm doing okay, tired and sore and drugged silly, and I can't sleep. Tomorrow is easier; it's a short flight and I got to two keepers. Er shepherds. Um, people to help. And tomorrow we'll be home for a bit. I did have a chuckle when we showed up with a harried mum, a grumpy and sedated kitty, a mad Irishman, and Frankenstein's daughter. I'd arranged for pre-boarding and a meet and assist and all that good stuff. I have to say, American Airlines rocks. We were originally on American to Toronto and then Air Canada from Toronto home. AC had a schedule change, so mum worked with both airlines and we re-routed through Minneapolis. AC had a broken plane and we had to wait for another craft. We were wait listed on the flights this afternoon and confirmed tomorrow morning. AC would NOT give us a hotel voucher and hold our confirmed reservation in the morning, unless we waited at the airport for the wait list to clear. Basically, if we left the airport and we cleared a wait list for the afternoon, they'd count us as a no-show and cancel the connection and the return, even though the delay was their fault. Normally, we would have waited and not had an issue. But hey, I'm sort of not in any condition to hanging around the airport all fricken day waiting for a seat on an overbooked flight! Bronn happened to run into an AA customer service manager at the snack bar and they got to talking. I think she was like, lusting for him or something because she offered to do anything to help. She came back to the gate area with him and we had a "discussion" with us and the gate personnel and her and they got us a room and we're upgraded on the return (but my mum is staying home, so it's just me and bronn and eeyore on the return.) there were apologies everywhere...

I took a nap with eeyore and then we went out and found TNR's restaurant.

*hugs* I'm glad that everything worked out. I know you're not sleeping, but at least you're more comfortable.

God, there are so many people who just don't "get it".

It pisses me off in such a hypocritical way.

Well, with the cat being drugged, he is not able to assert his domly presence... other wise, he like all cats, would expect you to wait on him hand and foot, at his leisure. ;)

Glad you made it back home.

Did you enjoy the restaurant? It was amazingly good when I ate there.

Hell's Kitchen was great, TNR, thank you for the recommendation. Bronn had like 2 and a half breakfasts, I think. One thing I'd forgotten in the rush to leave was to bring enough kitty food for more than one meal, so I ordered a turkey sand which, sans bread, cheese, veggies and condiments to go. The girl gave me a funny look, so my mum explained we were sort of stranded and it was to round out Eeyore's kibble. We could have gone to the store for more kibble, but the poor beast was having a worse day than we were! So she needed a treat. Anyway, they didn't charge us for Eeyore's dinner. I think maybe it was because we dropped a fair chunk of change feeding bronntanas! I swear, that boy's got hollow legs and toes too!

I cannot be all happy go lucky smurphy all the time, not even for you. Please don't ask me again.
