Why would anybody want to spend several hundred dollars on a scale for checking weight at home?

Congrats Hottie! I'm sure that is such a relief for you. :rose:

Thanks everyone.

I may miss them when they are gone.
I may have regrets when they are gone.
I hope that we are and will be building better family dynamics for holidays.

holiday baking and drinking have comenced!!! :nana:
I have this vision of baking and baking, pot brownies would make most people's holidays so much better.

Two reasons we cannot get divorced:

we both have the same reaction going out to grab something at Perkins and realizing it's Tuesday. Kids eat free. Oh fuck. Cemented even more into our non reproduction kid freeeeee track. It's not easy to find a guy who likes children a lot less than I do.

same opinion of holidays in general - if we don't have to, we won't. A day off is so much better than a day off and a forced-march toward gathering with people. I'd rather have a spontaneous end of the week dinner party for no reason. I could happily live without another whole roast turkey the rest of my life.

Amen, generally. I like the gift-giving at Christmas, largely because of my kids.

Thanks Cat and that's very sweet of you.

There is only one Litster from this forum that lives close enough to help me, but i'm afraid we would be too busy raiding my pantie drawer to get any boxes moved.

i'm moving on Dec 7th, so i may be scarce till then.

Moving can be so draining, but on the positive side, it helps you get everything tidy and in it's place, and sometimes clears out some of the things which have just been shifted around or stuck away without need. :cathappy:

That's one reason I am really looking forward to moving to my in-laws' place. There's so much stuff everywhere, and I want to pack it all up and organize it anew in a new place! :)
