The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

Mmmmmmmm sounds delish.
it was! Even his mum enjoyed it and had two separate servings. For her, that's good going. She eats a cereal or biscuits/jelly or omelet for breakfast and often hardly eats anything else all day, maybe a cookie. Some days she'll eat more than others but it's hard for her to find something she can taste or digest easily. She's lost so much weight and we've tried the milk drinks etc..., but she knows what she wants and I guess her body's just slowly shutting itself down. When I put my arm around her waist helping her with stairs last Sunday, I felt her little bones might snap under my fingers :(

It'll be her 103rd birthday in 11 days and the twin Bradford pear trees are bursting into bloom, the flower beds are sporting all kinds of daffs and narcissi and hyancinths, so she gets pleasure from seeing those.

103!!! Damn amazing! ❤️

Traded in my car. I was underwater a bit but it was worrying me with the noises.
The cx5 has liftor issues because of the oil and blah blah.

Went from an 18 to a 23. So weird owning something so new.

Does she think they give a damn? Or even can read?
of course not... I'm rescuing the fuckers and putting them back outdoors for the garden. For some reason we got inundated with them indoors, thousands of them and they all make a beeline for the top side of a particular west-facing kitchen window, desperate to get out... but that window only opens at the bottom and then the screen is a bit dodgy to try and remove, so I've been sweeping them into bowls or catching them in paired food containers but today I resorted to the hand-held vacuum and sucked a load up before releasing them unharmed. And there are still more. I have NO idea where they all came from but I guess some must have overwintered indoors and laid eggs or something :(

Are you sure they are ladybugs and not Asian Beetles?
We get days where we have them in swarms. I even find them in the Winter.

just went to look online and it seems they are the asian ladybeetle, a lot of orange ones mixed in with the right red ones... but they're nothing new here; they used to frequent an upstairs bedroom. These rooms are unused and kept closed off in winter so I'd often find drifts of dead beetles when things got warmer. This time they're in the kitchen and it is so freakin' annoying, especially since they are all so desperate to get out :(

seems they're still good for the garden so I'll keep on rescuing them, I guess.

about 2 thirds down the tomato row now, getting a bit more done each day compared to the day before. On a cooling off & watering break right now then I'll go back out and shovel the soil back into the trench.

The tomato sprouts are now 2 to 3" tall but it said to wait till they grow their second set of leaves before potting them on.

The pinto beans are just starting to sprout, too
