Perhaps, because it's the way I grew up. And I suppose that I am old. And a man. Dunno about obligatory, but that's all opinion. I never was a farmer, so there was never any "making hay while the sun shines." But, I do what I sign up for, and I've spent way too many weekends, holidays, birthdays, etc. working because stuff needed doing. Not saying it's a bad thing to be working on a Sunday, it's just getting things done.

Got a raise. Cost of living I believe. Aired some shit out with a boss about safety. Nothing will really come of it I think. It was one of those "let's feel like we did something to show people meetings."

I give a shit. Many do not. I live in a country where it’s the norm to use all your sick leave and then have more time off by using your annual leave and your long service. And then more time off unpaid LOL. I rarely have time off. I’m rarely off sick. I have two jobs lol. Some of my work days are 15 hours long. Luckily for me, I like what I do. The trick is the work/life balance. If you have a good balance there you’re golden.
