The Isolated Politics Blurt Thread I: A New Beginning

Dems are basically always triggered now. Some may also be pissed because the rest of the nation is not triggered. This constant level of self-induced stress is unhealthy. Combined with myocarditis and all sorts of comorbidities that so many people suddenly have now, many Dems may die before the midterms.

Holding the arm straight out and slightly raised was standard practice during the pledge of allegiance. It was called the Bellamy salute and was later dropped after Nazis copied it. It may later return as people get tired of throwing the Nazi label, or the pledge may be dropped as a silly waste of time.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

The President that maga hates - speaking about his immigration plan

You’re welcome. (Applause.) And it would have given millions of people that chance to get right with the law. But it wasn’t just a gift -- they would have had to pay a fine. They would have had to learn English. They would have had to get to the back of the line. They would have had to pay back taxes

Great article

But we will repeat ourselves nonetheless: Donald Trump is uniquely unqualified for the office of the presidency, himself a man with no sense of integrity or administrative acumen, and one who is lazy, vain, ignorant, and vulnerable to flattery—all of which make him easy to manipulate for figures such as Stephen Miller, whose ethnonationalist obsessions and sophomoric Nietzschean posturing have dominated the administration’s agenda for months and who is emblematic of the types of advisers with whom the president has surrounded himself this second go-round.

But Trump is far from the only one at fault for the mess in which we find ourselves.

There is, of course, the Biden administration—and former President Joe Biden himself—whose own incompetence, disregard for the rule of law, and dishonesty with the American people did irreparable damage to the country and paved the way for Trump’s return to power.

“We have two parties here, and only two. One is the evil party, and the other is the stupid party. Occasionally, the two parties get together to do something that's both evil and stupid. That's called bipartisanship.” - Everett Dirksen, Thomas Woods, or maybe someone else.

Political parties are huge teams. Campaigns for individual candidates have smaller teams. Teamwork is sometimes mentioned or implied in speeches and platforms, such as "we're all in this together," "collective responsibility," etc. The generations who want careers of working from home or alone in offices with locked doors may have poor teamwork skills. Here in the PB, we have partisans desperate to do something for their teams, but all they can do is shout, throw insults, and have tantrums.
