Its okay, I still can't believe they killed off the tennis player. Really amazing and she was probably the one character I really liked. Also, there is a girl on the show who wants to be a man, a storyline I just dont care for on this show. Ginny is still annoying, I am not really sure what her deal is. Other than that, its not a bad season and I hope it gets picked up for next season.Xectxny19X said:How is season 3 so far according to everyone? I haven't even watched eppie 1 yet. *sigh*![]()

You just finished watching last season. There is a whole new season of 2006. Jenny got help and then got back to writing, ironically about things like "cutting" and trauma etc. The only other thing I will tell you is that Carmen lost a lot of weight, she lost her Latin booty, now she is a thin petite woman who walks around in short shorts all show! Don’t ya love those Latin’s!! Her and Shane have all sorts of issues to deal with in their relationship…last night Shane asked her to marry.human_male said:What happened to Jenny?
They just cancelled it down here. I don't know if the season finished or if they just yanked it on a whim which they do often. The last episode I saw was when Tina had the baby, and Jenny broke down and started slashing her legs. She's traumatized by something horrible in her past. Something to do with a carnival or circus. Does it ever explain what happened to her and did she get better?
Also, does Shane have a penis? Coz she looks like it from the way she's humping Carmen.
Ta very much.

My god it takes an incredible team to convince viewers that a character is not just some fictational thing but you're friend and someone you feel close and connected to. When dana died i felt like i had lost my best friend, it was awful
Well, dont ya think they took their cue from Six Feet Under and The Sapranos? Killing off lead characters is now " the thing to do" in Hollywood. But, she was my favorite character so I shall miss her, I think it leaves a void in this show. Also, I think I saw her on a preview on CBS. She got work fast!!!BDisaster said:kudos to the writers for making everyone cry when dana died! My discomfort with the Moira/Max transformation is not in addressing the issue, but in seemingly addressing the issue in such a stereotypically negative way.... I realize that that's my interpretation of the storyline, but it just feels to me like they are going to the dark end of the spectrum first.... Of course it does tend to emphasize the dangers of going on your own version of hormone thearpy of any kind.... It's so different for everyone that no one should ever attempt to self-medicate ... no matter how desperate the need may seem.DustyWolfe said:Sorry you don't like that they are covering a touchy issue on the show. I'm quite impressed that they have a Female to Male (FTM) transsexual on the show. I've not gotten to see season 3 yet but I've heard alot about it. I do find it rather unfortunate that they have Max being a total asshole after starting hormones though. Then again, it does happen to some, especially if they aren't going through a doctor and end up having Testosterone levels that are too high. That definitely can cause issues.
hope you're wrong.... hell... queer got what?! six?!Brenda Stein said:Looks like season final on Sunday. I seriously doubt they bring this back next season.

I think it is nearly impossible to sustain an artistic/creative endeavor of this type at the peak of excellence for much more than two seasons. We probably all would be amazed at the amount and intensity of the work that goes into producing this thing. After a couple years people start getting burned out, the writing gets a little stale, the situations a bit contrived, the spark goes out of it, and before long they're just going through the motions.Brenda Stein said:Looks like season final on Sunday. Fans who come to love the thing accept this and may not mind the decline very much because it has become a fixture in their lives, and/or a cultural "institution."
I haven't seen season three yet. In the past two months I've watched the first two seasons for the first time. My take on the talent and artistry involved in every aspect of the show is this: You could place it in a display case at Tiffany's right amongst the most precious items, because it is a jewel.
Therefore, in some way I would not mind if they quit rather than let it become just a common bauble.
Very delicious tease - thank you! You did it just right . . .Brenda Stein said:Well it is Showtime cable so who knows, its possible. Showtime doesn’t seem to roll out very many dramatic series like HBO does, so I hope they bring it back one more season. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but there is a marriage coming up!! I wont say whom....
i didn't express myself well.... and you have a right to be sensitive.... i apologize for throwing something out there without the least bit of clarificationDustyWolfe said:Ah, I misunderstood what you said previously then. My apologies, guess I was being kind of sensitive *looks a bit sheepish* I feel the same way about how Max is being played out. It's hard enough for FtMs to get respect as it is without being portrayed like that on television. I've been watching discussions about this on a few of my lists and signed a petition that someone started. The petition is going to be sent to HBO in hopes that they will either change the way Max is played out or at least explain why he's being the way he is.
Not everyone will pick up on the fact that the way Max is responding isn't normal. Some will miss the connection that he's having problems and he's not going about his transition properly.
