The Last Daughter of Krypton OOC

Um.

Agh.

Continuity hiccup. The windmill's not in Rose's yard, it's in Kara's. Rose just noticed it as they were driving by.

(Like on "Smallville?" There's a small windmill in The Kent Farmyard? I dunno.)

But if you want to leave it, that's fine, :: grins :: we can pretend their yards have something in common or something. Or if you feel like changing it, Tears, only if you feel like, you could punch Wraith (sorry Kyle!) through a wall of the ramshackle garage? I promise Emil's cleaned out all his Kryptonite.

*scratches head* I misread your post then XD

Rose glanced up at their own, smaller windmill.

I thought by 'their own' that you were referring to Rose's families windmill

*giggles*

I suppose the ramshackle garage could work. But you must promise me that Emil cleaned out all of the Kryptonite. I don't think leaving chunks of green-K lying around for Kara to find is very nice

:: sheepish :: I am sorry for not being clearer. I did try to give it context.

Remember tho' that the garage is a separate building from the house, off to the right, just about fifteen feet apart.

And yeah, all the K is gone. :: nodnod :: Say what you will about Uncle Emil, he's thorough.

You gave it plenty of context... I just had a hiccup.

And Kara is very thankful for U.E.

"Are You Out There?" - Dar Williams

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0s373J0nR4

Perhaps I am a miscreation,
No one knows the truth,
There is no future here.
And you're the deejay speaks to my insomnia
And laughs at all I have to fear,
Laughs at all I had to fear.
You always play the madmen poets,
Vinyl vision grungy bands,
You never know who's still awake,
You never know who understands and

Are you out there, can you hear this,
Jimmy Olsen, Johnny Memphis
I was out here listening all the time,
And though the static walls surround me
You were out there, and you found me,
I was out here listening all the time.

Last night we drank in parking lots,
And why do we drink, I guess we do it cause.
And when I turned your station on,
You sounded more familiar than that party was,
You were more familiar than that party,
It's the first time I stayed up all night,
It's getting light, I hear the birds,
I'm driving home on empty streets,
I think I put my shirt on backwards,

Are you out there, can you hear this,
Jimmy Olsen, Johnny Memphis
I was out here listening all the time,
And though the static walls surround me
You were out there, and you found me,
I was out here listening all the time.

What's the future, who will choose it,
Politics of love and music,
Underdogs who turn the table,
Indie verus major labels,
There's so much to see through,
Like our parents do more drugs than we do.

Corporate parents, corporate town,
I know every TV set that has them lit.
They preach that I should save the world
They pray that I won't do a better job of it,
Pray that I won't do a better job,
So tonight I turn your station on,
Just so I'd be understood,
Instead another voice said I was just too late and just no good.

Calling Olsen, calling Memphis,
I am calling, can you hear this?
I was out here listening all the time.
And I will write this down and then
I will not be alone again, yeah,
I was out here listening,
I was out here listening,
I am out here listening all the time.

You gave it plenty of context... I just had a hiccup.

And Kara is very thankful for U.E.

She is called Destroyer of Worlds. Or at least of walls.

(Sorry again for the misunderstanding.)

Queen of Argyle - The Empty Hats

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCDtCyuSqYM&feature=related

Gentlemen, it is my duty
To inform you of one beauty
though I'd ask of you a favor no to seek her for a while
Though I own she is a creature
of character and feature
For no words can paint the picture of the Queen of all Argyle

And if you could have seen her there
boys, if you had just been there,
the swan was in her movement and the morning in her smile
All the roses in the garden
they bowed and asked for pardon
For not one could match the beauty of the Queen of all Argyle

On the evening that I mentioned
I passed with light intention
Through a part of our dear country known for beauty and for style
In a place of noble thinkers, of scholars and great drinkers
But above them all for splendor of the Queen of all Argyle

And if you could have seen her there
boys, if you had just been there,
the swan was in her movement and the morning in her smile
All the roses in the garden
they bowed and asked for pardon
For not one could match the beauty of the Queen of all Argyle

So my lads I needs must leave you
My intentions no to grieve you
Nor indeed would I decieve you, for I'll see you in a while
I must find some way to gain her
To court her and to tame her
For I fear, my heart's in danger from the Queen of all Argyle

And if you could have seen her there
boys if you had just been there,
the swan was in her movement and the morning in her smile
All the roses in the garden
they bowed and asked for pardon
For not one could match the beauty of the Queen of all Argyle

And if you could have seen her there
boys if you had just been there,
the swan was in her movement and the morning in her smile
All the roses in the garden
they bowed and asked for pardon
For not one could match the beauty of the Queen of all Argyle

At the Beginning - Richard Marx and Donna Lewis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmSKU7vM6wg&feature=channel_page

We were strangers
Starting out on a journey
Never dreaming
What we'd have to go through
Now here we are
And I'm suddenly standing
At the beginning with you

No one told me
I was going to find you
Unexpected
What you did to my heart
When I lost hope
You were there to remind me
This is the start

Life is a road
And I want to keep going
Love is a river
I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road
Now and forever
Wonderful journey

I'll be there
When the world stops turning
I'll be there
When the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

We were strangers
On a crazy adventure
Never dreaming
How our dreams would come true
Now here we stand
Unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you

Life is a road
And I want to keep going
Love is a river
I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road
Now and forever
Wonderful journey

I'll be there
When the world stops turning
I'll be there
When the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

I knew there was somebody somewhere
Like me alone in the dark
Now I know my dream will live on
I've been waiting so long
Nothing's gonna tear us apart

Life is a road
And I want to keep going
Love is a river
I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road
Now and forever
Wonderful journey

I'll be there
When the world stops turning
I'll be there
When the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

Life is a road and I wanna keep going
Love is a river I wanna keep going on....
Starting out on a journey
Life is a road and I wanna going
Love is river I wanna keep flowing
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you.

MacKeel - "Star of The County Down"
(Traditional)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufb3tcdkTV8

In Bambridge town in the county Down
One morning last July
From a boring green came a sweet Coleen
And she smiled as she passed me by
She looked so sweet in her two bare feet
And the sheen of her nut-brown hair
Such a coat sing out, sure I shook myself
For to see if it was really there

From Bantry Bay up the Dairykie
Galloway to Dublin Town
No maid I've seen like the brown Coleen
That I met at the county Down

As she onward sped I shook my head
And I looked with a feeling were
I said said I to a passerby
Who's the maid with the nut-brown hair
He smiled at me an he said said he
She's the gem of the Ireland crown
It's Rosa McCann from the banks of the Bam
She's the star of the county Down

From Bantry Bay up the Dairykie
Galloway to Dublin Town
No maid I've seen like the brown Coleen
That I met at the county Down

In Harbours Fare she'll surely be there
And I'll dress in my Sunday clothes
With my hat cocked right, my shoes shone bright
And a smile from my nut brown Rose
No puff of smoke, no horse I'll goat
'Till the leaves turn a rust-coloured brown
And by my side is my smilin' bride
She's the star of the county Down

From Bantry Bay up the Dairykie
Galloway to Dublin Town
No maid I've seen like the brown Coleen
That I met at the county Down

J'ai Pas Vingt Ans - Alizee

C'est pas l'histoire d'un jour
Qui rime avec amour,
Plutt un long sjour
Question d'habitude...
Si c'est pas pour la vie, tant pis,
Alors dis oui...

Just want one good post before bed.

Gorramnit.

Gorramnit.

Stupid unreliable brain. Stupid worn out from enabling stupid capitalism.

You know I was wondering how Kyle could see Rose's eyes.

God bless the invention of the rear-view mirror

Hindsight is 20/20. :: chuckles softly :: As they say.

And that was an excellent post, Chas

*hugs*

:: hugs tightly, gratefully ::

Thanks. I just hadda find the right music.

(But even that's not gonna keep me awake much longer.)

for some reason I have my creative peak in the first two hours after I wake up.

guess my brain runs a defrag program while I sleep

:: kisses softly ::

Okay then.

Time to sack out.

Dream sweet, Kimmeh.

(And dream sweet, all y'all.)

Sorry I didn't get a Raya post in, Amen, I'll try to do that tomorrow morning.

Oh, that's fine, darlin. Whenever you get 'round to it.

Oh, hey, have you seen my toothbrush?

(Did I leave it at your place? I can't find it!).

:p

O.O

It's not the blue one, is it?

Because I've been using the blue one. (I thought it was new.)

Ewh, sorry. I'll get some Efferdent and clean it after work tomorrow.

Also: I cannot wait 'till Ceri meets Thor.

Also: can we assume that Kirby's version of Thor exists in the comics of this world, but that his secret identity and human host side have never been discussed, much as Thor comics would be on Marvel Earth-616? I only ask because Rose digs Kirby.

Also: Jamie's going to be sad he missed the mystical thunderstorming.
